I got mine with Indie.

Now that the candle market has cooled down my income has been cut in half and I am wondering if I shouldn't just scale down to hobby instead of full time business? When you add the cost of liability insurance, website, taxes, permits and fees...how can a business owner compete with people who have a full time job and make/sell candles for fun and don't really care if they make money or not. Customers don't really care if we have liability insurance or not all they want now is lowest prices possible some of them have even ordered knock off of my designs to people who don't mind doing that and selling for next to nothing. I just dropped a customer because frankly the price she wanted to pay for the items didn't cover my supplies. I do $5.00 shipping and free samples as well as special promotions but If I have to sell my candles for 99 cents like some are doing then it is just not worth my time and effort. I am just curious to see what others are doing in these lean times.

My hairdresser told me of these 2 women who live in her building apparently a few days ago they decided to do their nails while burning a candle on their table...the acetone fumes caught fire the building had to be evacuated...I guess that's what happens when idiots don't read labels...

With 464 the longer you cure the better but I have some left from last Christmas and a few frosted over time. But they all smell great.

Just trying to figure out what Just Scents FO's I should order for the Holidays...I use 464...I am so uninspired...I don't like any of the Christmas FO's I poured this week... I am so not in the Christmas mood this year with my dog being sick and near the end...I am just hoping she'll last until Christmas.

I like the PITA fee idea...I think I will put a disclaimer on my website. I had a customer leave me a nasty negative feedback because she didn't read my shipping policy...Another customer ordered 6 bags of tart melts, waited two weeks to pay me and wanted to know if her order was ready yet...now she's back for round two and is asking if she can pay me later...I think I am going to drop this one...some customers are just too much work.

I once bought a candle from someone claiming her candle would smell my whole house...guess what? it didn't...it didn't even smell my master bedroom with the door close. I am now burning a KY Apple Butter Clove and it is scenting my living room, dining room and hallway very nicely...about 250 sq feet...

KY is out of their famous tart wax...any idea who makes this wax and who else carries it?

Yes WSP is very real you can even smell the smoke...

I am not worried about Walmart it is not known for its quality and everything is made in China...I am more concerned with people selling their goods on e-Bay for 99 cents...with the cost of making candles and tarts I don't see how these people can make a profit...

I am looking for plastic votive cups with lids...these are like the disposable portion cups we use for tarts but in a votive size. Any idea where I can buy these?

I have been ordering from them for years and they may have an A+++ but they are still rude. From what I saw this week when there is a minor problem they make you feel like you are annoying them. I contacted Beckie from JS this week and she replied right away so she gets and A+++ Connie from Backwoods also get an A+++ NG also gets an A+++ a while back I had an item damaged during shipping and they took care of it right away.

I use to make the gel pies...were do you get your FO's from because I never had this problem. It also helps if you make the embeds and the crust yourself and scent everything.
