  1. wow! 100 of them! I don't have to do that many! It will be easier to wipe them of as opposed to remelting! Thanks!
  2. Thanks! I was not sure what to do with them! I'll try it!
  3. A few weeks ago I made some M&P soap- took it to a craft show last week and it sold fairly well- when I came home I put everything in my craft room- went in today to do inventory as my next show is this coming up on this Saturday- I noticed my brown paper soap wrappers were wet looking- I looked closer and saw beads on the soap rubbed my fingers over them and they were not wet- can I just remelt & pour these or will it happen again? Did I store them in a room that was too warm? Help!
  4. Thanks for your help- I think you may be right about not adding enough red but when I saw that bright orange I thought it was too much- I just don't like the color blocks at all!
  5. Thank you! Never thought about that combo! I will give it a try!
  6. Thanks for trying for me- as posted above I did get a mauvy pink that will work with the scent but I will not run out again- believe me! I really do not care for color blocks!
  7. I think you are right - not close to a supplier so can't go get any liquid- I added a drop of coffee and a couple and did get a muavy pink and it is a strwabery scent so it will work- leraned my lesson though will not run out again! Thanks!
  8. I ran out of red liquid dye so I am using a red color block- I need to make a deep red or burgundy- the color block is "ruby red" so I used it alone and got bright orange- I added black and got pink- added blue and got plum- what coclr do I need to add to this red? I need to make these candles asap- I am using 415 plain soy. TIA!
  9. I use 415 plain soy- don't know if it would be aproblem but I will not sell candles as lotion anyway.
  10. Lynn- I do agree with you- I did tell someone last fall not to do it- the wax itself would not hurt them and some FOs are ok - some not- would never remember which one were ok- the dye is a big concern also- what I am looking for is a solid lotion bar or stick- I know it has some oils added to it- not straight soy wax and of course only body safe oils and only body safe color- if any color at all but can't seem to find an actual recipe.
  11. How do you use soy wax in lotion sticks & soap- do you have recipes for these?
  12. I have yet to try soaping except fo M&P - I have read a lot here to try to learn but I am stumped- what is hydro. soy?
  13. I just went to their site and did not see a sale- is it over already?
  14. Thanks for this link! It sounds yummy! www.brandyannescandlesandprims.com
  15. Those are very cute- what are you wicking them with? www.brandyannescandlesandprims.com
  16. Oh that is funny! But we always make sure to knock first... but then again some times they don't answer you! Not sure though if the needed two candles to get the scent throw or if maybe they just thought they would- they were in a suite so there are three rooms. I don't know if we will ever find out who that candle company is- but I am surely going the try that Strawberry Preserves now- not sure about Fresh Baked bread though- and I think I wil skip the glitter!
  17. Yes I am sure- I could not find it when I googled either at least not for the type of candle I saw- I tried a different search term and found a few retail sites that carried Ammerican Glory- but they all said AG was out of stock and the product shown was tapers and they looked commercial- I am stumped!
  18. I think you are probably right but when I first smelled them I thought wow my candles throw strong but don't think I could compete with that- never thought it was because they were burning both of them ( duh!). I do think I should find some Strawberry Preserves F/0 though!
  19. I started out with soy in fact have ony poured one parrafin candle- if you carefully follow your soy wax instructions you should be fine- just remember it is the nature of soy wax to develope frosting and can set up with an uneven texture- you might want to invest in a heat gun to smooth the tops with if need be.
  20. I work in a hotel and today the hallway was filling up with a strong strawberry scent- I knew someone was burning a candle and when that room was cleaned I saw it was two 22oz mason jars. They were layered candles- Strawberry Preserves- Fresh Baked Bread- Blueberry Cobbler- they had glitter in them- were soy wax and the label said handpoured soy candle from American Glory Candle Company. I have never heard of them- has anyone else heard of them? They were burning two at a time but the scent throw was strong!
  21. Yippee! My testers came today- can't wait to try them!
