  1. These are beautiful. I always find HP so hard to do because mine never look this fancy. The white with green swirls is my favourite. Have a great Christmas.
  2. They all look great but I'm crazy about the first red one with M&P and CP mixed. I made a CP one that had a top that was unever and I poured M&P over the top about a day after I made it and it held together fine. I've never tried adding M&P inside the batch though and it looks cool. Can I ask what red you used? No worries if it's a secret. I've never had a red like that. I have BB red for melt and pour and only used it once but don't think I used enough because I didn't get a red like that.
  3. Thanks, I noticed I typed a mispelled word in the title. It should read "What I've been working on lately." I'm planning on making a rattanjot soap tomorrow with a Gardenia/Lilac scent.
  4. Hello, Lately I've been making a lot of products. We had a huge specialty day 2 weeks ago so I wanted to have a lot of things on hand for that. Organic Facial Cleanser: Aromatherapy Stress Buster Inhaler (with my custom blend of EO's): Lime N' Coconut Sugar Scurb: Lip Care Combo (includes a mint Lip scrub and Chocolate Lip Butter): Chai Tea Soap Log: Chai Tea Soap Cut (still curing): Sugar Log M&P: Sugar Cut: Lavender Soap in the Mold (changed my recipe for this one and added TD): Lavender Soap just out of the mold: Lip Balm: That's all for now.
  5. Does anyone have this type of printer? If so can you tell me what labels work for you. My sister does our labels and is having problems with our current labels and our fairly recent printer purchase. Currently I get waterproof labels for an inkjet printer and then also we use clear labels from Avery.
  6. Your soaps are all so pretty. Wow, did you use Frankincense & Myrr EO's. They are way too expensive for me to try out but I too love that scent.
  7. Thanks everyone for your comments. Dawn, Great idea about the measuring out ahead of time. I've yet to try master batching but I think that would solve my problem except that I don't keep my bar size consistent but could have to master batches one for one size bar and one for the other. It would make life so much easier. I did though after 8 years stop using a thermometer for my CP soaps and that makes life easier for sure.
  8. I don't have your exact mold but I'll tell you what I do. I use mineral oil on the inside of the mold and brush it on with a brush. I've started using SL recently but didn't for a long time and I'm impatient with unmolding so found mineral oil worked well. Someone said (can't remember where I read it) that you can use cooking spray but I think this would saponify with the soap.
  9. Just a curiousity question. My favourite soap recipe uses 8 oils and sometimes 9. I've been tweaking my recipe lately and every blue moon I make a 3 or 4 oil soap recipe. I love my current recipe but it takes time measuring out 8 oils. Do the majority of your use an 3 oil recipe or a larger one? Do you find that more oils or less oils makes your soap better?
  10. I have had the same problem with chocolate soap. I have a Banana one that I think is divine and everyone loves the smell but chooses something else. The only foodie scent people seem to like is Sugar or Vanilla. I haven't made a chocolate soap in ages. I had that problem with coffee soap too but think I'll try it again now that it's been few years but make a very small batch.
  11. That is a pretty shade of purple you have there.
  12. I like the colours and I've done the same thing and not greased the inside but the freezer usually helps this along.
  13. It took me some experimenting to get it the way I like it.
  14. Thanks everyone. Scented, The stain stick works well but I'm going to recommend it for whites as I've tried it on coloured clothes and it takes a bit of colour out. I didn't intend for this to happen as it was an accident and I tried a new recipe. The dead sea mud worked well but it traced fast due to all the different things I did this time: changed my recipe, used Sodium Lactate, used fast tracing EO's. I've used my dead sea before to make masks but was dying to try it in soap.
  15. I love the swirls in Turkish Mocha.
  16. Very spectacular and love your photos.
  17. Here are the latest soapies I've made: Rose out of the mold: Rose cut: Laundry Stain Stick/Powder Soap freshly poured: Laudry Soap out of the mold: Stain Sticks (not yet packages or labelled): Laundry Powder (this will go in cute little containers). I found out I'm allergic to laundry soap so made a big batch: Dead Sea Mud freshly poured: Dead Sea Mud out of the mold: Dead Sea Mud Cut: Thanks for looking.
  18. I know I just made a gorgeous M&P soap with a stunning green and it's all gone brown now. I completely forgot about the coconut going brown as I've made one in the past but used less coconut. I'd like to know this too.
  19. bayougirl, Wow, I love seeing so many soap photos. Celestial Waters is my favourites
