  1. I 2nd Candle Source's LV. It is good and strong in a melt and I believe a Febreeze dupe. It has a very nice balance of Lav and Vanilla. For more of a Downy LV, I love NG's.
  2. Thanks guys! If y'all think of anymore, I'm all ears. :-)
  3. Haha!! Sorry. ;-) Thanks for the rec!
  4. Have you tried BCN's Olive Blossom? I don't know if it's a match, but it smells awesome and rocks in soap and wax.
  5. I need to place an order from NG and I need some recommendations for tropical fragrances. I'm not huge on tropical scents, but with summer right around the corner, I think I need some. My only stipulation is that it must be strong. :-) Thanks guys!
  6. Alabaster used to have a Kudzu--strong grape smell--and I believe Community Candle now carries it. I remember it being knock-your-socks off strong.
  7. I would recommend just using FOs. Like Scented said, using EOs can get pretty expensive. Try finding a rose and a driftwood you like and mixing them. I'm pretty sure The Candlemaker's Store has a driftwood. For a rose scent--that could slightly mimic rosewater--I recommend AH's Rose Geranium.
  8. Beautiful!! What a lovely sunrise. :-)
  9. I sure will. So far, it's really good and strong.
  10. Glad I'm not alone, marcuset. :-)
  11. Wow! Wow! Wow! The colors are so pretty and vibrant! I can't wait to see it cut. :-)
  12. Anything homey and cozy. I love spiced cranberry and a good, rich vanilla anytime of the year. Since I started making candles 6 years ago, I like a lot less scents. Also, I like scents that I never liked until I started candlemaking. Weird huh?
  13. I love the tiger stripes! I think the both look great!
  14. Has anybody had luck with Birhday Cake? I remember trying it years ago and Ioved the way it smelled, but it did not do well in the tart wax I was using back then. I'm just wondering if it was the wax or the fo..... Why do vanillas have to be so frustrating?! Lol
  15. Yes, it disappears. When I used equal amounts of soy and palm, I had some feathering, but not a pretty palm look. I decided to take the palm percentages down and the hot throw improved and the tarts look very smooth. I did not figure the tarts would pop out of the bowl with the lower palm percentages, but they do.
  16. Thank you guys!! For the purple I mixed ruby gel tone(from BCN) with neon pink and blue oxide. I also used black oxide and quite a bit of titanium dioxide.
  17. Wow! That's quite a list. I may be in trouble.:-) Thanks guys!!
  18. I'm using ecosoya pb with feather palm. I don't get feathering with the percentages I use, but they still pop out of the mold. It's been a long hard road of testing and this is the blend I've finally settled on. It rocks hot or cold.
  19. Thanks Belinda! I just saw Sugar Cookie Dough on the ICS website and I'm intrigued. I need to order cellophane bags, so I think I'll place an order with ICS and try SCD and FSC. If you think of anything else I should sample from ICS, I'd love to hear. I am getting Orange Chiffon Cake, which I've used and love. I'm also going to try ST Macintosh Apple and Banana Nut Bread( I hope it's heavier on the banana and bread and light on the nut)
