  1. Wow, that's very pretty, Mari! I have a neighbor that'd love to have one of those. She loves the cow (farm) scene!! Great job!!
  2. Those are so very nice, they look wonderful! Great job!
  3. Whoa, I think I need to re-do my plan! Thank you Candle Man! I've never priced smaller amounts of quality oils before! I had no clue! Oh well, I think I scared her away anyhow, she hasn't responded yet. LOL!
  4. LOL, CM is right ON! I agree with everything he just posted. I will have to say, though, that this lady requesting an oil was specifically wanting it for her direct product line... whether it was soaps or candles, B&B,..I didn't ask but she stated that she has a small business. Here's what I came up with and offered her: 1oz. = ($2.99) 2oz. = ($4.99) 4oz. = ($8.50) 8oz. = ($13.50) 16 oz. = ($22.95) I'm not out to make a killing this way...just worth my time and supplies, I guess.
  5. I think maybe she means refresher oils for potpourri-that's what I thought of when I read refresher oils. And actually, they'd be perfect for spraying and livening up potpourri around the house-kind of like recycling the old instead of buying new.
  6. Hey, that's a great idea you have there, thanks for posting. I doubt if I offer the option of reselling, but sometimes I do get asked. I'd rather resell to the person than flat out tell them where I get my supplies, LOL!
  7. Wow AJ, way to go! I think this is just wonderful and I enjoyed reading that too, thanks for posting!
  8. Does anyone offer their FO's for re-sale to your customers? What kind of pricing, etc. do you recommend? Any and all help will be appreciated.
  9. I went into Wal-Marts fabric section, picked what I liked and bought ten yards of it. Brought it home and measured it on my table, cut three pieces and sewed them together. Then, I only had to hem two sides..the other two sides had selvage (?). The only thing I wish I'd done is purchased a material that doesn't wrinkle so easily. :rolleyes2
  10. My salt bars sweat only if their out in open, humid air. Seems as if there's 90% chance of rain that day then that's about the only time they sweat. I wrap them up in paper labels and then place clear tape over both sides. That seems to help too, to keep the labels fresh and let them still breathe.

  12. Thanks for the compliments. Hey Scented~I use BRV from Peak. It never discolors my soaps or lotions.
  13. Whoa, Grumpy! Those are very nice and I'm envying the green you got going on there!
  14. ALL of those are just gorgeous! I need to take tips from you. My first GM soap seperated and ROSE up out of the mold. I haven't tried making GM soap since then ...LOL! I especially like your cocoa powder soap, it looks great.
  15. Jump right in there and try them, Steph! You have to post pictures though! I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed making these. This is my second batch and I waited about one hour too long on cutting them because I had pieces that broke off this time. I just love bathing with these too and it's DHs favorite soap.
  16. Black Raspberry Vanilla Girls Night Out ..this one is getting lots of ash but still smells yummy! :smiley2: Salt Bars scented Ocean:
  17. I've ordered from them a few times and the service has always been great. I like their apothecary jars/lids.
  18. Hmm, I guess I'm not the brightest flower in the patch. >Just kidding< I think you may be right. It's a play on words to catch one's attention, I guess. It certainly caught mine, LOL!!!!! I was just searching this morning, I forget what for because my mind has been on a million and one things, and stumbled onto that and it caught me off gaurd. I didn't EVEN consider storing matches inside a candle jar. Then again I don't live in hurricane holler either. We have the occasional ice storms and zero degree temperatures a couple times per year. I keep my crappy candles to put in our well house at those times and/or to light our home. Thank you for the replies.
  19. Well, that would make sense then! :laugh2:Maybe they should change the way they word that.
  20. What are these people meaning? http://www.herbalhealer.com/candles.html :tiptoe:
  21. I wish they wouldn't charge so much for shipping ... I break the bank everytime I order from there. :undecided I've tried the Birds of Paradise and Dogwood and I love both of those.
  22. Those look great! The apricot seed looks really good in there and I bet it feels and smells great too.
  23. Those are really purty! I agree, you do an awesome job with your soaps! Very nice and colorful!
  24. My first soap mold was a plastic, oblong bowl that I've had for years. It worked great but the corners of all my soaps were rather curvy. I've also used a Pringles can a few times and cardboard boxes (lined, of course).
