  1. Ok I have been searching and searching for hang tags that are a good price and ones that I really like. Well finally about a month ago I found this site and I really like what I see but I want to do the custom ones. So I email the lady, twice, about possibly sending me some samples of the the different paper and I have heard nothing back. I even told her it could just be the scrape paper from the ones already made I just wanted to see what kind of paper it was and the color. I have even called her twice, but only left one message. I really dont know what to do anymore. I really need some hang tags and I really like things. Has anyone order from her or has anyone had any communication with her at all. Or does any one know of another site that has hang tags kinda like things? Thanks for any help you can give me. Antonia
  2. Here is one but it only does 4 at a time, sorry. http://www.scottcrewcandlesupply.com/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=3369870.11592*aG89y6&p_id=SO269&xm=on&ppinc=detail&hdr=mscottcrew
  3. I felt the same way after Stella went through her test run with the CDNs for her 4" jar. So I went to wicks unlimited and they sent me free samples of the CDNs 22 and went and tested like crazy but no luck for me so I went to double wicking. I say if you want to give it a try go to wicks unlimited and request a sample of the CDNs 22, I believe they send you 20 of them, and see what you get. Good luck and and I hope it works for you guys. If you guys do a search you might be able to find the link where Stella posted all about it and it had some pictures with it. 4. Hey I was just on their website trying to look at there products but you have to have an ID, which I dont, and I didnt see any place to sign up for one either. I did request a catalog but was wondering how do you order from them and how did you get a log in ID? Thanks for any help. Antonia
  5. When I first started making candles I got a 4" diameter jar and tried very hard to single wick it. There have been a few people on this board that was able to do it, but very few. Well finally I gave up on the fight to single wick that size jar so I went to double wicking them. I personally dont like the double wicks so I have swiched jars now so I can single wick. So I would say if you want to see if you are one of the few people that can get it to work then try and if it doesnt work for you you could always add some paraffin to see if that helps with the MP. I never tried this because I didnt want to have to order any more wax. Well good luck and have fun testing. Antonia
  6. What size jars are you using? I think your other post said 4" diam? Well with those I was using two cd 6 for most fo. So for you I would start with LX-12 or Eco 4 and see how it goes. Now I dont really know for sure since I have not used either one of these wicks but from the wick chart this is where I would start. HTH some GL Antonia
  7. I know what you mean I was hopeing to be able to start on it LAST NIGHT, I had no idea it would take this long after you sign up. Well if he calls you back please let me know what he says. Thanks so much Antonia
  8. Same for me too but I just signed up last night. Well I hope your comes soon and then hopefully mine will follow.
  9. I just signed up for a website here also. For the people who have used them if I want to see what kind of templates they have under option 1 and find out I dont like any of them could I which to option 2? Thanks so much for any help you can give me. Antonia
  10. Not sure if I have this right but I think this is what you mean. Wax price per pound with shipping cost added in is $1.58 Scent price with shipping added in is $0.98 So that would be $2.56 per pound of scented wax. Now I am using soy wax and 6% fo per pound. So our prices are not that far from eachother. Antonia
  11. This happens in Atlanta GA also. When we first moved up here I was like what is going on with all these people hanging out.
  12. Thanks for your reply. I have only order one of their FO that was on a closeout (8oz) and now I am going back to order lots more of it before it is gone. They seem to be the only place to get Tuberose from without paying $30 for 16oz, and my family just loves this stuff. And they seem to be the only place that I can get the lower end CD wicks, which I dont really prefer to get wicks from them because the way they package them they get bent at the base and I have to go through them and put hot glue on them to make them stand right. But I cant find any other place to get the lower end CD wicks. I dont think I will get them maybe I will get the liquid dye for NG, atleast they have some reviews on their site. Well anyways thanks for the reply. Antonia
  13. I have read a few post on here about which ones people prefer but I cant seem to find anyone saying anything about Tennessee Candle Supplies liquid dye. Is there a reason for this? I was going to place an order for some wicks and a scent that they have on closeout and was wondering if their liquid dye was any good? Please let me know it you have tried it or if you have heard anything good or bad about them. Thanks. Antonia
  14. No I dont think it is frosting, the top is smooth and purple but the middle is white. The other ones that I believe were wick correctly it was the wax on top that the color faded a litte bit, nothing like this one so maybe it is because I had that baby way over wicked. I think I will try again with the color, I am using different jars now which only need to be single wicked. My last jars I needed to double wick and really hated them so I gave them away and got me some smaller diam jars. Thanks Stella you really are a great hope, about everything on this board. And thanks for everyone elses help also. Antonia
  15. Hey I am not sure if these are the same as what you are looking for, I dont use these, but check out fairwayglass.us. They have the ball mason jars, which looks square to me. You will need to call them for the price on these jars but their customer service was great the few times I have called. And the shipping shouldnt be so bad they have a warehouse here in Atlanta. Hope this helps you some. Antonia
  16. So this is what will happen not matter what? Well that sucks I guess I will just stick with dye free candles. Thanks for your help.
  17. Ok I did a search and could not find exactly what I need to know. So sorry if this has been asked before and if so and you know which thread it is in please let me know. Ok I used soy 125 from candlewic with their color blocks. And in the candle I made purple it turned the middle of the wax white, like it bled out, after two burns. Now this candle was wicked too high so I dont know if that is what made this happen or not. I have only made a few with color, all of those where wick correctly, and noticed that after the wax hardens back up it seams to lose the color. So since then I have been making them dye free but I really would like to be able to have a line of color candles. Should I try to get some liquid dye and see how that goes or am I just doing something wrong with the color blocks? I am going to try to attach a pic so you see what I am talking about, I hope it works. Thanks for any pointers you can give me. Antonia
  18. Sorry I know I am a little late to get to this but just had to comment. That butt candle is the funniest thing I have ever heard of. Just one question how did you come across this?
  19. Check out fairwayglass.us they have pretty good stuff. You can even email them for a few samples and they will send them out free, I think you can get 4 free samples. I got their reg tumbers and they are pretty thick but I dont know about the frosted ones. http://www.fairwayglass.us/ Hope this helps you. Antonia
  20. Ok so I have been away for a little bit from candle making and I just bought a bunch of new supplies for someone that was selling there by my house. The problem is she really didnt know what kind of stuff she had, she bought it all from someone who was going out of business and only made one candle from it. Well she had a lot of wicks from Wick It and really didnt know which went with which so I told her that I wasnt going to take any because I didnt really know what kind of candle they were for but she gave me a box for free, which is the WI 740. I looked them up and it said they are for 2-3" pillar/ container but is this really the size they are good with? She didnt have any container that small. So I was maybe thinking that they will be good for votives. What do you guys think? I am going to make up a few and see for my self but just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Also the wax I will be using for the votives is Enchanted Lites Soy Wax for Votive Thanks for any help anyone can give me. I hope I put this in the right spot. Antonia
  21. I am using this wax right now. And now that I have the pour temp down mine come out looking great. As for the pics in that other thread, I have only that happen once to me. The first pic looks just like the first candle I poured with this stuff, and the other two pics I was in a rush and didnt have time anymore to let the wax cool anymore so I had to pour the candles hotter than normal. But with only 5 % fo my candles smell great, ht and ct. I have been putting coconut oil in my candles, one part for better tops and second part hoping they would burn better. I am having a really hard time wicking these but I think my problem is I am using a 4" diam jar but maybe this wax is just making it worst. I think I am going to try mixing some paraffin wax with this to see what I get because I am not liking the way these candles look after they are burned. They seam to lose the color and make a a white ring in the middle of the wax after they harden back up. Well good luck with what ever you do, but I dont think I will be using this wax again. I think the next wax I use will be 415. Antonia
  22. I got mine from candlewic.com, and love it.
  23. OK, so you were talking about bw in your other post:confused: Sorry I thought you were talking about coconut oil. I have never tried the bw, sorry no help. But give the coconut oil a try, and yes it is at walmart (super walmart) but I got mine from where the oil (like olive oil) is, right next to the shortening. It is in a white bottle w/ a green lid and is called LouAna coconut oil. The coconut oil will make the candles harder so I dont know how that would make the 135 look, sorry. Have you thought about mixing the CBA and 135 together to see what you would get? I havent tried it before but I believe in resent threads people have talked about doing this to get the best of both worlds. Maybe do a search, or look in past weeks threads, and see if it was the same wax you use. Good luck and I hope I helped some. Antonia
