  1. Sun & Earth - hands down best citrus there is - throws all over my house and in soap - da bomb Raspberry Patchouli - yums, it's about time someone brought it back, and it's uber strong. I love the Citrus & Herbal Thyme, Celestial sea is hubby fav and the new one coming in - Avalon something - I have it in soap and it's been scenting my bathroom for a week and half. Lori - do you do anything small? LOL And here you are blaming Scented! You should be thanking me for allowing you to steal the CG - I was so happy for about...3 mins before you swiped it!
  2. Go figure... a group of candle makers in a bar without lighters! LOL
  3. Dirt, build up and Sebum destroy foam and bubbles. That is why the second application of shampoo/soap is so much more foamy, there is little dirt or oils left on the hair. Copious amounts of foam are not necessary to clean your hair, ideally just enough to move the product through your hair is idea, more than that and you are wasting it.
  4. That's because the PH of handmade soap is too high to use on hair! Additionally, soap binds with the minerals in most municipality's water and forms an insoluble film. Try an ACV rinse.
  5. I am still searching for Kim's cream samples, it was DIVINE and those pillars Julie - amazing - I wanted them for ME. I am buying some as soon as you get them on your site. The sugar cubes looked so easy, I might break down and try them too. VERY kewl stuff and the lesson on EO's very interesting, the lesson on the FDA from Kelly was scary - so much knowledge - I feel so empowered!
  6. Birdie, it was great meeting you - I feel like we had known each other for years. Actually, it felt that way with so many I met. Thank you so much for making that long trip - you and Angela were such a delight. I hope to make it to TN next year, maybe we can start a shuttle from PA to TN...I think I know where we can find a driver! LOL
  7. Have you back, are you kidding - it will never be the same without you now. YES, I missed everything on Saturday night so we must have an exact reinactment next year so I can see the expression on the shuttle bus driver's face! I forced secrets, so I better be quiet! p.s...was that free BIRD?
  8. Failure to post a response to this...might not be a good thing!
  9. We had a cancellation yesterday, maybe the hotel has their room available?
  10. Wedding plans - congrats Deb, we will miss you and your Mom! Just a note - regular registration, ends this Friday or when we fill the last 3 seats! We extended due to the holiday weekend falling so close to the deadline. But come this Friday...closed, no late registrations. Coach outlet...hm...my budget...I must resist!
  11. The scale of the label to the jar is way off, they are too big!
  12. Have you considered a LX30? I use them in soy containers that are 4" and get a clean burn with even the most heavy FO. Just a suggestion. In my experience the difference in the 1312 and 1212 is very slight and if the 1212 has a hard time the 1312 won't cut it either - just my observation, buf if you check out the wick charts on http://www.wicksunlimited.com you will see what I mean.
  13. There are other types of funding that don't include those fees. For example if the person buying wishes to send a check or a money order? I don't list them, I include them in the cost of the item, or know in my head it's associated with the cost of the sale - but there are those that might not want to promote PayPal and this is their way of pointing out if you use the service you will pay for the privledge?
  14. All the swap sign ups are posted on the blog - Lori, I have an email into Connie, as soon as I hear back from her I will take care of that.
  15. I will open a section for each individual pre-buy on the blog www.lightsandlather.wordpress.com along with a link to the vendor. I will send a message out on Yahoo to see the blog for details. TLC & Laura - if you will just check out my posts and make sure they are okay - comment to each blog entry if I forget anything and use that area to communicate with anyone that wants to get in on the free shipping - THANKS - that would be great! I know I need something from NG - I always need something from OBN! As for the Amish store, what a deal! Very KEWL. Both NG and OBN are sponsors of ours currently, so they have provided for us already! I am sure they would appreciate the orders. Banned from WSP? Okay that sounds like a interesting story! Scented...you wanna get some slsa? Gotta have it for those dang shamoo balls!
  16. Regarding rooms at the hotel for the gathering... I posted this on the blog and the Yahoo group - but I will mention it here - the Holiday Inn only has approximately 20 rooms left in the whole hotel for each night! So while our discount is good until June 26th, that is a mute point if there are no rooms left Word to the wise...book the room! They will not charge your credit card - unless you don't cancel before 6PM the day of arrival. We have seven seats available for registration!
  17. If we can get up 50 lbs. worth, it will be like $4.70 - that includes shipping to me and no hostess fee since it's part of the gathering. I posted it on the blog. Lori, they fixed your room and included you in the block for both nights. They opened up more rooms for both nights.
  18. Not yet...maybe someone in OH will volunteer! LOL I am thinking about doing a co-op on some SLSA and saving the guests shipping from me - I am in need badly and could save some money by splitting a large order. Maybe I will post it on the blog and see if anyone is interested.
  19. Hey Lori - I called the hotel and talked to Sharon. She is going to look into the room issue. She said that it could be all the rooms in the block for Saturday were taken as we did not hold as many for that night as we did for Friday. But she said she would open it up for you - and add some more rooms to both nights as we still have some guests that need rooms. The rate is good until the end of June, so as long as the room are booked by then, the discount will apply.
  20. Gosh, that does seem like a long time ago, but I am thinking it was '05? You did the co-op with Nature's Garden and OBN and I put it on the website for the Midwest Gathering. Too funny. YES - those I talk to seem super excited:yay: Everytime a box or another registration comes through - I am re-energized. It will be a GREAT time. Kimberly is a doll, helping so diligently and listenting to me ramble on and on! PA Gathering News: http://lightsandlather.wordpress.com

    Wooden Rose

FO contain solvents, makes sense it would melt the glue and dissolve the styrofoam. I would not say it's shoddy workmanship, or cheap glue - but rather improper use of the product.
  22. Just remember that when you make a product edible it changes the labeling requrirements - FDA wise and then it enters a completely different realm as well with insurance liability issues, make sure your policy covers that. And for me...sugar...no thanks - in some areas it can cause some icky yeast issues. Just something to consider.
  23. Aw...that's sweet. I bet you will have fun getting away for a little while and being with the rest of us and then think of how happy and excited all of you will be when you get home! I told my son if he wanted to come this year he was more then welcome, he said...that's okay Mom - I enjoy the time when you and Dad are gone! See what you have to look forward too!
  24. Shannon - it will be nice to see you again, would be great if Nancy is able to come this year! Scented, there will be some extra hubbies with us that can help with airport pickups, might want to avoid quitting time arrival if possible!
  25. For years I have sold Ginger & Peach and it's still very much requested. I guess I might have Pier I to thank for that, but it's a kickin' combo.
