  1. Nice if you could do like an olive and gold swirl - pretty - right? I talk a good game, haven't done a swirl in my life unless you count drinks with fruity umbrellas! LOL
  2. OH - ABSOLUTELY - the best leafy/fall fragrance ever and super strong at .75 oz in soy. LOVE it and sell out of it every season! I color it like a dark coral orange - it's a keeper!
  3. Wax wise they all throw well in soy, per Rhonda. That being said there are those that go above great into the ¨peel paint category¨ Celestial Sea, Spirit, R. Patch, Saffron Spice, Bay Citrus, Citrus Herbal Thyme, Fairy Garden, Sun & Earth, Winter Festival comes to mind. Enchanted Spice, G.Attraction, Merlin´s Forest are great in soy, but more on the subtle side. I can´t remember the rest, but my testing results are listed on the site - and I test with five very qualified candle critics! HTH
  4. I am getting used to tempting me with stuff my customers will want and like - but when she brings in something that I HAVE to make for ME!! Everything on the bench gets put to the back! I must learn to share right? I have not tried the flavor oils yet, but they are on the way - I have a tub of tubes to do for the fall - can't wait.
  5. I have that one on my list of ones to soap, so I will watch. Glad you were able to rebatch, I am like you - it takes a good one for me to go through that trouble, but more times than not - like with yours - its been worth it. Have you done the Spirit yet, that is next on my list. I am so behind! The Harvest Moon soap chunk has been next to me for the past couple of days and I am so sold. I hate when she does that to me - two "gotta have them" back to back. Oh and this one turns a nice creamy pumpkin color - gotta love that.
  6. Autumn Embers - smells like Yankme's Fireside. To me, notes of pine and alot of smoky notes. I will sell it cuz my customers love the dupe. Harvest Moon - is my next fav coming down the pike! Will sell for me like crazy. It's a sweet spicy scent - not overtly earthy - like mulling spices with a vanilla and nutmeg jolt. Very nice and right on the verge of being foody, without being an edible fragrance. Holds up in soap better than most sweet spices I have tried and only discolors to a pumpkin color in my recipe. She might bring in the Dark Knight - rumor has it. Think Bay Rum - very manly, exceptional in soap - have not tested it in wax - I think she has. I will sell more in soap and shampoo bars than candles, very sexy!
  7. I asked you to save me a bar! I am totally into well seasoned soap! I love that scent. You go Nancy! 6 more colors - How exciting! Can´t wait to learn.
  8. It's the best evergreen I have smelled! Think really aromatic pine with tart fruit and woodsy clove. The description on her site is dead on. I loved citrus balsam from Flickers, but this one is all that and MORE. It's more outdoorsy and fresh, but still so different for a Christmas tree scent. My testers were using it in the summer and lovin' it gone! I got back nothing from their testing - a wick hold in a spot of wax (so much for my warning label). LOL
  9. Oh Nancy - you better catch up - she keeps putting them out! At least sign on to receive the newsletters so you can get in on the new sales, those ones for newsletter members only are really significant savings. I am doing a supreme happy dance cuz WINTER FESTIVAL is being ordered! So happy that one is coming down the pike, it's lovely and my testers went gaga over it - sure to be a holiday fav and I am ready to start pouring some NEW holiday stuff. Hey that carving looks hard, so you have been working ALOT. I am looking forward to learning how to make those next year ... and I am serious about the red tea soap!
  10. The white sage is uber strong! My customers loved it when i tested it, reminds me of a super clean sage & citrus, no citrus - just zesty sage, very, very nice!
  11. The WB is not like the Y;s version to me, this one is like a rustic cinnamon stick, with a bit of clove, very lite and patch which comes off very twig like. The Y to me has some sweet to it, not this one. I like it cuz it reminds me of a campfire smell, even with the spice, there is a smokey touch. This is a dude fav in my houde! I thought Y renamed theirs to purr chouli, or something with a cat on it! The Gaia is an in your face, just opened the bag of potting soil smell. Not a mud or clay, more regreshing than that and greener. I want to use it in a dsm soap!
  12. For one the real thing (the higher end variety like this smells like) is extremely expensive and for me working in soy a real pain to work with.
  13. Hands down the most realistic Patchouli FO I have ever smelled! I know she looked for a very long time to find the most realistic and many patch fans I know and trust say it's dead on and they are all getting in on the pre-buy. Just a note it ends Friday at 9PM EST.
  14. Must be the wax cuz Sultry Angel is a very strong thrower in 415 with only .75 oz - I would never use 1 oz of this FO, it would be a waste. I could go down to half an ounce and it would be a great thrower. I have made candles with 415 for many years and if a FO is not a good thrower for me in an ounce or under I won't use it. There are simply too many FO out there that work awesome at 1 oz. Additionally, it's been my experience the more FO you add to the mix the more the burning performance suffers.
  15. Scented, what EO blend did you get? I got the Lime/Patch - Wow. I almost forgot about the pre-buy, thanks for the reminder Tabitha!
  16. I thought the older one was heavy on raspberry and sweeter than this one. This one has more patch and the raspberry notes seem more like tart berry, less fruity and sweet. I know she went through like 6 of them before she found this one and she was really intent on having something completely different, and not similar. The old one reminded me of an rugged version of BBW's sun ripened raspberry! This one kinda reminds me of the old one Sissy's used to carry, I used it for years. Yep, F&M is not a fav of mine cuz most of them are so heady, this one I can do and I think my F&M fans will like it cause it's not so "in your face".
  17. But Kim...you are such an earthy girl, I just don't understand? LOL I don't detect any creamy or vanilla notes in the Tropical Element, in my book it's as close to a straight coconut as I have ever smelled. That said, I have not been on the quest for a straight coconut! I am gonna mix it - I have a list - endless possibilities! Tabitha I think the ancient incense smells like a non perfumey frankincense and myrrh? SYR & Kim - am I off base with that statement?
  18. I pulled one off the shelf for you yesterday! My lastest batch of bars are disappearing so fast. I might have to do another round of bars before schedule. I am all over that conditioner, just let me know. You picked two of my favs. The celestial sea shampoo bars are gone and I had tons before the gathering!
  19. Let me know how ancient incense goes, it's wicked strong in soy!
  20. Oh HOW EXCITING. Surprise me, any of them are GREAT to me. The anticipation is overwhelming. Are we going to have to order SLSA again soon? LOL Did you get your Spirit yet? I am soaping that right away. I think mine will be in Monday - This weekend is dedicated to Saffron & Spice for the guys.
  21. Ditto Donnamac, I just got it and it's pppoooowerful!
  22. I can't wait to see what you do with them. The Celestial Sea is selling like hotcakes for me right now in shampoo bars and soap. One customer said it's like an Irish Spring fresh feeling with a GREAT smell!
  23. Theives reminds me of that EO spray you use when everyone is getting sick around you? LOL It's really herbal and spicy - It's awesome in soap, definately a keeper in wax, but more a fall/winter scent. Unisex, the guys love it. I like it, has an old world feel to it. Yeah, she gets me all pysched for a new one and then it does not do well in something and waits for it to be reformulated until it works, or she does not carry it.
  24. Christy I am with you - the fairy garden is over the top berry sweetness for me! It's awesome in products, but not my cup of tea. OHHHH Lori - you better get to makin' I am still waiting for my gift of bubbles - I wanna see one. Did you get the Spirit? Oh my I hope so. And the coconut is so refreshingly NOT macaroon. Rhonda ships fast, I get my stuff in two days. TLC - get some of that raspberry patch and we will swap products, you make the conditioner and I will make you some shampoo bars! And don't tell anyone...but yes...I picked up some EO's yesterday too! Baby steps. Scented...it's only a matter of time...you will fold...and buy!
  25. I just order the Spirit and "Coconut"! That Sprit is an awesome lime and different - I love lime, but I am tired of the same ole same ole - this is unique. The coconut is a straight coconut and no bakery notes. They are on Newletter special until midnight tonight, I just can't ignore that discount amount - and since I know how they perform in soap and candles, I am all about the pound for that savings! I am already thinking I should have gone for the second lb. on at least one of them.
