  1. Thank you so much! I can't believe the difference this box makes. I've been trying to get good pictures of my items for years! I'm going to do this. Nancy
  2. Very nice! I don't understand what a light box is. Can someone please explain. I thought a light box was something you used to trace things on. Apparently, there's another kind? HELP! Nancy
  3. I ordered from them a month or so ago and got my order very quickly. Nancy
  4. lebermuth sends free samples. They have a high minimum order though - $150 with each order. A bit high when just starting out. They do have some nice scents though. Nancy
  5. I'm very new to tart making and bought a presto pot right away upon everyone's recommendation here. Best $20 I've spent. It melts the wax so fast. I don't even have a spigot on mine but it still saves loads of time. Have fun in your new venture. Nancy
  6. The Hearthside Collection has them. Their site is www.thehearthsidecollection.com They're not on their website but I called them a couple of months ago to inquire about them. They were out of stock at that time, but they plan to get more in . Nancy
  7. That answers that question! Thanks for your reply. I was just curious since they looked so much alike. Nancy
  8. My friend is just starting to make aroma bead ornies. When we were examining the beads we discovered that they look exactly like poly pellets that are used to weight dolls with (we're both sewers!). Are they the same thing? Nancy
  9. That's a very good guideline. I'll keep that in mind. Nancy
  10. They're 1 oz. Nancy
  11. Thank you so much! For some reason, I thought they should last longer. Nancy
  12. I was very pleased with my first batch of tarts although I'm not sure the scent lasted as long as I would have liked. It was very strong at first and had a great throw, but it faded after a couple of days. Is this a normal time? Is there something I should add to the wax to make the scent last longer? Nancy
  13. Please excuse my ignorance! What is 6228 and should I be adding anything? (see, I told you I was new)! I'm using a 10 lb block of wax that is just called premium candle wax I got from Darice. They smell wonderful, but I've not test burned them yet as I am waiting for what is in my tart burner now to wear out so I don't waste it. I think I'm really going to like this! I bought some molds on ebay today 24 star molds (with 24 cavities each) for $2.99!!! What a deal!!! Nancy
  14. I think so! I just use parafin and add my oil to it. Right now I'm focusing on getting the scents I want to use. I'll work more on fancy shapes later. They're fun to play with and my house smells so good. Nancy
  15. Thank you! I'll play around a bit more before I buy any expensive molds. I'll check the dollar stores. I had actually thought of those neat ice cube trays. I used to see them everywhere, but now that I want some I can't find any!!! Nancy
  16. Hi! My name is Nancy and I'm very new to tart making. I've enjoyed reading through the old posts and have learned a lot so far. I would like to try to use some silicone molds. Can someone tell me approximately how long it takes for the tarts to set up until they can be removed from the molds? I've seen some wonderful molds out there, but pouring only two tarts at a time will take forever unless they set up super fast! Nancy
