Bought mine from http://www.fairwayglass.us
Thanks!

They're not quite 3" in diameter, though. But the 11.50 oz tumblers are 3" dia.
Are you looking for a 3" diameter jar?
Steve, do you know of other suppliers of this jar? I've been looking around and can't find it. I'd buy from Peak, but the shipping to the east coast is as much as the jars.

Got an email from them a couple of weeks ago (yes, I am on Yankee's mailing list!). The first two sound really great to me.
-
One more question, are those Libbey containers?
-
Yes, a lovely candle Steve. Can I ask, why are those hard to wick? They have straight sides, and the diameter is under 3". Seems like an easy container to wick. Or is it a palm wax thing?
-
It's a really good FO, but the price is kind of steep, $28-30/lb. I'm debating...

Yup, lots of bacteria in seawater. Bacteria get a bad wrap because of a few pathogenic species, but most bacteria is good, and necessary for life.
Technically, viruses are not organisms. They are intracellular parasites. But I am splitting hairs.
Off topic. My apologies to the OP.

Got it!

***gawd, I hate those leaves***
Do you dislike this scent from Candle Cocoon, or are you making a general statement?
-
I agree - the scents are super concentrated. I haven't used the ones you are interested in but I have tried several others from there. Very Strong! When Lyschel says to only use 0.5 oz/pound wax, she means it!

Polarity is a chemical term that describes how well a compound dissolves in water. It has to do with electron sharing in bonds. Polar compounds dissolve very well in water, because water is very polar. Nonpolar compounds do not dissolve in water. Hydrocarbon-rich compounds are non-polar.
To make gel candles one needs non-polar fragrances to mix with the gel. Aroma Haven lists whether or not their FOs are gel safe (for most of them). Moonworks lists it too. I am not sure if other place do.

Love that pinkish-melon color!

What carol k said... NASTY stuff.
I love candlechem for their dyes, the wide selection of metal molds, and other accessories. I live within driving distance but I always have it shipped (don't want to drive through Boston). My orders usually arrive the very next day. I've emailed Arnie a few times, and always have received a fast, polite response. The monthly deals are pretty good, too.
About their FOs, they are hit or miss, run off the mill stuff. Not bad, just not great, for the most part. I have about 60 of their scents, and most are just sitting on the shelf because I found better ones elsewhere. I should probably throw them out because they are at least 2 years old, and most older.

When I was a young girl my mom made ice candles in milk cartons!
We did this too, in art class.

I am always on the search for the perfect vanilla and there are so many variances that I guess it's up to the individual taste.
So true...

Looks really yummy. I'm hungry now!

Has anyone emailed Bert?

I broke down and ordered one from upland
Could you post when you receive your mold? I've heard various things about their customer service.

I am so glad that someone bought these and they are available again:

I just soaped patchouli passion yesterday (CP) and it is just so lovely.
I think I will soap celtic myst and/or spirit of avalon today.
I've never had a bad oil from Flicker's or MW either! That is why I am so looking forward to the expansion she is doing right now.
-
I have Native Princess, and to my nose it does not smell at all like Patch Honey, to me Patchouli Passion is similar to Patch Honey.
I agree. The NP is not like Patch Honey, but the PP is near identical.
Bella is really great, it's not a new one, but it looks like she is restocking it soon.
The new Winter in Briarwood sounds awesome! I can't wait for that, and the chocolate hemp.
-
She just added a What's Cookin' category:
absinthe
chai
Chocolate hemp
orange ginger
White tea berry
I can't wait!

The Candlemaker's store says it manufactures their own fragrances. They also say they supply many other companies. So maybe Midwest buys their FOs from them.

Very cool!

I found the same thing with my local restaurant supply stores. Not a good assortment, and for the ones that could be used for candles, they were $$$$.
