  1. Hello, Does anyone know where to buy a self kit that they test their lotion products with. I have a new account (clinent) that is buying some lotion that is all natural from someone else and they use a natural presavative ( Grapefruit Extact). My consern is, that there is air bubbles, like swiss cheese (Spoiled). She really thinks its fine..... OMG>..... She was told that it would last a year. She just purchased it and it only two months old. I send my product to be tested. Long story short, dont want to go that route. I would like to just purchase a self kit test to show her the bacteria, so she cant see for herself. I dont want to offend her, but I am conserned with harming the public. ANy help would be appreciated. Monica
  2. Here are a few places http://www.naturesapproved.com/shop/department.asp?storeID=DED66C93AF6E45488DF43C733A64B7F1&storeID=DED66C93AF6E45488DF43C733A64B7F1 Also, If you just need a little , check locally. Lilke an asian store. Also walmart in some places carry it. I used to buy it in a urm. But they are popular out in the east. I buy mine from Essensial wholesale out of Oregon, but that is because I buy huge supplies of everything. Hope this helps. Maybe someone on this board knows a place closer. I just moved to this side of the planet and I dont know it well enough yet.
  3. THat makes sense, I thought so, but I am so far behind on soap, LOL... Good problem to have though. Thanks
  4. Ok, I know I have to wait the 4-6 weeks before I sell my soap. I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I wrap my soap in clear skrink wrap. What I need to know is can I wrap the soap up like in two weeks? So the time I get all 24 scents wrapped the 4-6 weeks is done. Or do they need to breath?
  5. Bummer, I use goat milk. That would defeat the purpose. Darn.
  6. I really dont know of any presevative that survive being in the microwave at those high heats. Especially with just oils. ?
  7. I have never used that kind, I have always mixed my own, But I would try shea butter. Just add a little bit to see how you like it. Make sure you weigh it out and then just ad more as need. Take notes so you know next time... I have learned, LOL., But any oil or butter will make it softer.
  8. Ok... where do you buy enzymes? I have looked and I cant find any. I am making liquid laundry soap. I used some of my regular liquid soap when I ran out, I will tell you it was the best load of laundry. Any help would be great!
  9. Hello, I have had several people emailing me to make a silicone mold pie crust for the heart dish.... Ok.. What kind would be of interest... Lacy look, old fashion, Plain.. wavy edges. It is snowing to beat the band and I have been listing items and correcting my website and I need a break. Let me know asap and I will whip something up. Monica
  10. I did buy one box and it came that way also. I use a knee high nylon over a pour pot and use thick rubber bands to hold it. I have had three boxes in ten years like that. Also sometimes my silicone comes like that. Yikes! The company said it was from staging the containers, then picking them back up and stacking. Crap from the floors get in the containers. Can you believe that, They know the problem and they dont fix it. Probably something like that with the wax. Just talk to the company! ... If it helps
  11. I think the phrase stay organized is exstreamly difficult... trying to orgainze is the key. I start in 1999, yikes a while back. In my kitchen. I had a closet with my stuff. LOL Then it moved to a little area down in my basement. Then my grandmother had me make some goatmilk soap(had to much milk from my goats), Next thing I knew I was getting orders from everywhere.UPS truck coming everyday Soooooooo.... I built shelves, shelves and more shelves. Because I am thirfty person when it comes to ordinary items, I looked for store closures, auction and such. Next thing I new I had a live store, so back to more shelfs. Kmart was gonig out of biz and I got three wire rack shelf things that held wall paper.. It is perfect for the lotions and molds. My grandmother even saved the baby wipe containers from the nursing home. LOL.. Do you know how many they go through.... ? I even swrewed them to the wall( Took the lid off).... For ribbons, tags and such. Then the college was having a sale on these counters with drawers under them. I got them for two bucks a set. They where older , but they where wood! ( I still have them- All the way from Wa to NC). Then I found a library card filer.. the old metal ones. I use that for all my labels. Then I use plain envelopes for labels that are small. I just fold the lip inside and label them, then put a cardboard card for catagories. Then I stick them in a plastic totes. I also took a dowl rod and put through the center of my large ribbons, and hung it from the celing with rope on each end. I think getting everything in one spot of a certain kind , really helps. And putting things back.( I think that is the hardest task).I know way back when, I used to be like a mad scientist. Things flying, lost items and kios.... to the max. Now that I have shelves... counters and drawers. Everything is off the floor and up. I can now get more things done. as for staying organzed.. that will never happen, but at least I can see the floor once in awhile! Ö¿Ö....
  12. You know , after ten years of making bb items, and doing the research on this one, I cant believe that there isnt better products for this. I know that I have really fair skin and I am sensitive, so I am perfect for this project. I know that most people break out afterwards because of bateria ( Being a cosmetolist aslo helps). SO tea tree needs to be in the lotion. Also I cant believe what people use to close their pores. LOL... If anyone can tell me their experiance I would appreciate so I can formulate it better.
  13. Well, I have ordered supplies, and I use emu oil. Which is soothing. Then I have about 100 different oils and over 500 essential oils. So I am researching right now to see what would be good. I also am making a bottle of the lotion/oils you apply afterwards, for residue and closing the pores. Any thoughts?
  14. Sure why not.. Happy New year to you to. !!
  15. Well, I was hoping.... but I guess I will have to formulate it, LOL..I will be the guinee pig. Ö¿Ö Hopefully I have a face left!

  17. I am looking for someone who can help me with my website. I have hired two people now that have messed it up!.. LOL.. So I need to find someone that has the time and willing to help log in new products and redo my current listings. I have numbered all my molds, Yikes!! so I can find them more easily. Now I have to edit each listing. I dont have the time to do this. You will be able to do this from your home. If anyone is good at the computer and as I meantioned has the time. Please email me. 20. Ok, I have my ingredients on my labels as such..... Herbal water, aloe vera, Emu Oil, Shea Butter, Vit E..... and so on. Why do some companies put the chemical names on them... ie .Purified water, tocopherol (Vitamin E). Is it a requirement?
  21. I have a suggestion! SELL THEm... they are awesome! I love the round ones. Always my fav for decor for the holidays.
  22. The white specks are probably resin filler. That is how they get away with selling them so cheep.
