  1. Thanks Krisiti for clearing that up for me. You have truly been a great help along with others. Good looking out on that 1oz FO information. That's good to know because I wouldn't have otherwise. I'm glad about that. So, is it safe to say I would be better off waiting on Candlescience parasoy blend? The fosting thing scares to me death. Hahahahaha! I hate even the sounds of that so I want to stir away from that as much as possible. Now I'm not sure what the crystalization on the tops are but that can't be good either, So we will see. Thanks again.
  2. Hello Guys: I'm in the process now of adding more pictures to my website. I starting selling votives, melts, and lotion since I lasted worked on my website pictures.:lipsrseal I guess I need to be taking care of that REALLY soon. But hope you enjoy anyways. lol http://www.kcscentsations.com
  3. Yeah, I remember you telling us before about what NG said to you. But it's all good. I got the answers I needed from the group here thank goodness. Haha! I think you came up with a GREAT idea. I would love to get someone to drop me off some of that wax I'm hearing all these good things about. Keshia
  4. 8oz Mason Jars: One(1) for $10.00 or Two(2) for $18.00 Masons are the jars I always carry in my line. I do carry other jars but only if I have them in stock or for a special holiday but I normally charge $1.00 per oz unless I'm running a sale. With jars I have that are 24oz, I only charge $20. I don't have a candle over this amount.
  5. Thank both of you guys. You have helped me so much. I will be trying CS 464 since that one is some what like Joy. I hear so many good and bad things about Joy, but for me and my customers it really WORKS. So I'm going to try CS 464. Thanks a bunch. :highfive: I'm going on their website now to look around a bit. How about jars? Do they sell them? Well, I guess I can see that when I go on the site. LOL:grin2:
  6. I will try them too Kristi. Thanks. I live in Hampton Virginia
  7. Thanks guys for your input. I too was thinking of just trying a slab or so to see how it plays out. I really do like Joy but I was trying to go the cheaper route with shipping. But I guess you get what you pay for.
  8. I know someone here can and will help me on this. I was trying to find a company closer to me due to the increase in prices with wax and stuff. Someone told me about Carolina Candle Supplies. I wanted to know with me using "Joy Wax" form NG which one of their(Carolina Candle Supplies) waxes would you reccomend me trying that sounds closer to what I'm using. I hope that doesn't sound too crazy. But I want to try using Carolina Candle Supplies wax but I'm not sure which one to try being that I have been using Joy for so long. Can anyone help? Thanks
  9. Oh okay. I haven't heard of them before. Glad to hear you went back if you really liked their oils. It's so hard to find a good company for FO's. So keep them while you have them.
  10. Can anyone think of any (GREAT FO's) companies close to Hampton Virginia:confused: Or just the VA area period?
  11. I've heard alot about Daystar. Have yet to try them tho. I wish I could find a company alittle closer to me.
  12. I use paint shop pro 9 for all of my pictures. I'm in the process of changing pictures now on my website. I change things all the time. I feel sometimes I will never get it right. LOL My husband thinks I'm crazy cuz I'm changing things all the time. But with using this program I've found it's the easiest program for me when it comes to resizing or working with pictures in whole. With this program it's better to do your pictures by % instead of pixels. HTH
  13. I haven't heard much about Lone Star Candle Supply. I'v tired only one scent from there because I brought it off this site in the ads section. The scent was Apple Slices and it smelled really good cold and hot. For the ones that know, how are they with other scents? Thanks A Bunch
  14. Hot Baked Apple Pie is awesome! I think you will love it when you wax-it. I sell alot of candles using this scent. I love it:drool:
  15. Keep your head up Sweetie. If you have been making candles and soaps for 7yr/2yrs you're doing something right. If nothing was going right, you would have been out of business right now. But the mere fact that you have a retail store and a person like me is yet working on one, you're the bomb. And I admire that about you. Know that great things come to those that wait. I wish you all the best this year.
  16. Congrats! That's GREAT news. I'm very happy for ya.:highfive:
  17. That's why I try to make it very clear I'm talking about me and my experience with the wax because to tell you the truth, I have yet to get a bad batch. I too hear people talking of getting bad batches but I also hear them talking about how good the wax is. It was a thread a while back about Joy Wax. Did I start it? Uhmmm can't remember. You have some people here also using this wax. But like most things, you have to find what works better for you. And Joy Wax works for me. I have been using it for almost two years now. So close to two years, I guess I should say two. lol So far, so good. HTH. Good luck with whatever you decide.
  18. Not all wax is created equal. With that said, I myself use NG Joy Wax and don't have half as many problems as some say they do. But that's just me. I love this wax whatever % of paraffin it has. It has really worked great for my container candles, the wax is so rich and creamy and it burns ALL the way around the jar. That's one thing I really love about it. Now, you do have to find the right scent for it because like some other waxes also I'm sure, it takes testing to get it right. But for me, I use it and love it.
  19. Now, that's right up my ally. No, no,no, I love you Hubbie:laugh2:
  20. Ohhhhhhh Okay! Thanks for sharing. Now, I can write DH too sometimes. Smilies. Can't write DD now cause we don't have any children but when we do, I will.:smiley2: Thanks
  21. Okay guys, now don't think I'm crazy(cuz I am) But what is DH? I see that on alot of boards. And I know it can't be the initials for everyones husband. LOL
