what is the difference between the odor eliminator and other candle scents?
-
thank you....
I actually use the Lx 14 in my paraffin votive and it works good...(some one asked if they were cotton or not)
-
Lx wicks are all cotton correct? or am I wrong... CS's description doesn't say one way or the other.
-
Why not just give them the wrong info...ever tested something that was not good? well give them that...
-
I second 4794....
-
so when will there be one in NY ( or area of)
-
thanks...
so the bottom line is if I want a soy votive wax, I should try the 474..(which I can't really find)..
btw--I use 415 for my containers and love it...
-
what temp would I heat these to? I am trying V-1 wax and no matter how low of a temp I melt and pour it frosts badly...
-
so what were the results....
-
don't forget the lilac...If you like strong lilac smell get this one.. It was my first scent I poured and it blew me out of my house...
-
What are your opinions on GW 474 vs GW 416?

so I decided to ask some people on ebay that are selling to see if they have insurance just to see what they say...here is one response:
"No and i do not know anyone on Ebay that i know of who does, and i have many friends selling candles on Ebay.If you go to store and buy a candle and it burnt your house down you couldn't sue the store. It is the buyers responsibility to use Care when burning anything. Thanks for asking "
here are anothers:
"I don't have insurance or product liability."
"What?"
I agree that insurance would be a good thing...but how many people are selling without it?
I found statefarm has retail service insurance. will have to call monday.
-
what exactly would I ask my homeowners or any insurance place for? would I ask if they had product liability insurance, crafters insurance or what is it called? sorry if I am being stupid here..
-
My home owners also does business insurance, do you recon they would cover my candle selling? Would I need a tax ID ( how much are those btw)...god I don't want to stop making candles but I can't shove out $500 + up front for insurance..
-
I asked this within another thread on the general board...
I live in NY and looking for crafters insurance but can't seem to find any through the internet..
Does any one live in NY and have insurance that they recommend.
-
WOW...crafters insurance? I didn't realize there was a thing...I live in ny and I can't find anything about crafters insurance online...does anyone on here live in NY and have insurance?
this post as really scared me now..since I sold some the other day..
-
is there such a thing and how would one use it..
-
if I have a jar that says 8 oz wt. Do I advertise this as an 8oz jar candle or what would it be in candle terms?
-
I haven't dived into mixing yet...Have you tried wholesale supplies plus wax blends? they have a couple...and only $6.95 shipping ( $0-25)

I am using soy dye chips...I am letting them cool for about 10-11 hours in the molds..
I will try to put some pics up tomorrow.
-
update: I tried another batch and with my container wax added...I heated to about 175-180 and poured(2 votives) at 130 degrees..on one the top came out good and on the other the center of the top started to shrink in a bit...I took them both out of the mold and they and frosted on the sides..ugh..
I then melted one back down...heated the molds, had it by itself and covered...well hours later I looked at it and the top has a sink hole in it and it has frosted again..Poured at 135 degrees....
I guess my next step is to heat at a lower temp and pour at an even lower temp them 130 and see what happens..
-
well I can't sell them with either problem so both are a concern.. also I cool all my votives under a aluminum bread pan....I am just lost on this one..
-
I did add some container wax (gb 415) all I have...durning a remelt of 3 votives and it did not help..
could too much FO cause this to happen?
-
well I guess I am going to have to go back to igi 4794....

Do any of you ship in summer? I did a test ship in my car and in 24 hours my candles were melted all over in my package. What can I do?
