  2. Sorry, it is a lotion base. Fda requires a manufacturer / distributor to be put on label correct?
  3. I bought the base, etc... from NG. what/who do I put on the label as far as the manufacture or distributor?
  4. Should a 4oz jar give the same HT as lets say 8oz jar using the same formula for both jars? It should correct?
  5. How much wax do you use in a 4 is jelly jar? I am figuring 3oz. I did the water weight to see where it comes to and 3 oz puts it about 1/2 " from top. Is this too much?
  6. Since these jars have the same diameter, the same wick that I use in the 8oz should be ok in a 4oz correct?
  7. What name would you use for peaks Winter wonderland?
  8. Other than your products (candles, mets, etc) what accessories / equipment do you bring to sell?
  9. I started out with 415 and I thought it was going to be the wax I stuck with. However some of the oils just did not throw well at all and I started to have wicking issues. I then bought a sample of 6006 and WOW. The Hot throw is amazing. The colors come out beautiful. Some of the FO's that did not work with 415 are now working with 6006. I am finding wicking is easier. In fact I think I have narrowed down one wick for almost all FO because it will catch up with the heavier FO as it burns down. (using 8oz JJ) I am just blown away by this wax. Get a sample from peaks first to test for your self. I use 8% FO load and it works great.

    4794 melts

WOW.. I made some melts using 4794 about a month or so ago. I tried some after a week or so of curing and was not happy. I tried some again last night, it was rose, which I know is very strong anyway, but one cube lasted 15 hours. I am trying a lavender cube right now and it is very strong. So like candles, these melts get better the longer it cures.
  11. Did you try the 4794/4625 mix?
  12. Just an update-- CD 6 is too big. I put in a CD 5 and it seems to burn great. A little hang up on first burn, but it is catching up. The HT is amazing compared to 4794.
  13. How much do people sell the scentsy melts for? Do they all come in a round clamshell or do some come in a clamshell like CS carries?
  14. I guess when I time comes, I should start with just doing a brochure.
  15. Didn't I read somewhere there is a maximum temp that is allowed. I thought I read 175 degrees or around there. but is that burning according to the 3-4 hour burn rule? Also at what temp does glass break? Moonshine, I agree. If people actually burn according to directions, using a smaller wick, may not get those customers back. I have never really power burned a yankee candle, but if anyone has, have you ever took the temp of the glass?
  16. would this be considered over wicking or improper burn or both: 8oz jelly, after 3 hours burn is great, glass is touchable, not too hot. after burning for 6 hours very deep mp, glass is very hot ( 200 degrees). So is this over wicking or just improper burning or both?
  17. I tested the 4625 votives this morning. Using a cd6, cinnamon and lavender. The have cured for only 3 days. I must say the HT I think is better than with the 4794 wax. It would probably give even a better HT if they cured longer I am guessing.
  18. So I got a sample pack of LX wicks to try in 6006 in the 8oz jelly. I must say I think I like these better than the zincs. Seems to be giving more HT and is burning slower but burning good. I am using a LX 22 in pumpkin souffle vs. a 62z. In my lavender I seem to have to wick up. I am using a LX 24 which is burning decent. I have been using 8% fo load.
  19. temp was 190. It is melting ok, but maybe its not getting hot enough? maybe I should mix some gb 415 or 6006 in there. ok, I just took the temp and it only 109. with still some congealed wax. Can I remelt the melts that I poured and add some other wax to it or should I just start over..
  20. People say that 4625 works well. I poured some a few days ago and testing it tonight (cinnamon) with a scentsy warmer and quite frankly the HT is very very light. I am not really happy with it.
  21. The ones that I think I have got down : lavender from peaks Pumpkin souffle from CS Cinnamon from peaks I have been trying cranberry apple marmalade from peaks, but I am not having much luck with the HT even in 6006.
  22. Yes i have been testing 6006. I originally started with gb 415. But just cant get that to throw at all.
  23. Does anyone have a comparison between 4625 and 4794?
  24. Ok I have searched and cant find the answer. I got in a sample slab of 4625 mainly to test melts with. However, I thought I would pour some votives also. I love how the colors come out compared to 4794 wax. However, the bottom half of the votives I poured have frosting going on. Do I need to heat the votive molds with this wax so the frosting doesn't occur?
