  1. I don't know..it gives a good melt pool in about 2 1/2 hours...it is the only wick that I have tested that I get a good pelt pool..( I have tested RRD 34, htp 83, cd 5, lx 14) in the ecosoya pb...and the RRD 34, isn't hot enough and the HTP 83 does ok, but no real melt pool after 3 hours..so I don't know.. I am trying to stay with the cotton wicks, because I guess that is what most people like right? but I am afraid I may have to try out some zincs in this wax...

What do you suggest I try..I am all ears..

  2. Wsp is my main supplier right now...My best seller from them are the vanilla buttercream, cotton candy and cinamon buns....However, I don't like the fact they have few selections of wicks...

  3. That's because the baby powder scent is rose mixed with vanilla. So by accident you have created it! Were you trying to achieve a rose scent? You could do that with just the rose.

well, the rose by itself, really stunk. So I tried to tame it down a little without adding more base..

  4. 2 rrd 34's should create a "Bonfire." Those wicks (using only 1) are too large for my 3" palm pillars! Pls be careful!Carole

I use ecosoya pb and can not get a sigle rrd 34 to burn hot.

Also I will not sell double wicked votives, it looks weird and probably is dangerous...I did this just for personal test and fun..

  5. ok just for fun, I put 2 wicks in my votive because I don't have a wick that burns good right now. (2 wicks through 1 hole) I used 2 rrd 34 and I this is the best my votives have ever burned. Nice melt pool, great throw..etc...

has any of you ever done this because you couldn't find the right wick? good idea, bad idea?

  6. what is a good wick to use with GB415? I attached a pic of the jar I am using. I have tried Lx 14--not hot enough even with 2...Also htp 83 and not hot enough either.. The 83 starts off ok, after 4 hours not really a good pelt pool. However, the next day when I burned, they almost drowned out..

Should I go with an htp 93 or htp 104? or something else...

    thanks

  7. regardless of what you sell them as..i feel I had to point out that your wicks are far too close to the edge of your jar - they need to be much closer together. Wicks that close to the sides of the jar can a) cause black soot and B) overheat the glass enough for it to explode.

Sorry to be the one to tell you but I guess that's why we're all here huh?

thank you..I did find in my test that there was black on the side. Also those wicks are not hot enough (I don't think) During 4 hour test burn they did not give a good melt pool.

    thanks again..

  8. ok, I have these glue dots. I put them on my wick, stick them to the bottom of the jar, put in the wax and they come loose. My first attempt I used these and burned the candle and the wicks came loose while burning...What is going on with these..Do I have to put the heat gun on the bottom of the glass to melt these things or what..

    any suggestions

  9. not sure if this is the right thread to post, but..

any of you use Smelly Jelly Crystals? any advice for them?

can they be used with candle FO..I read somewhere that water based FO works best, but where do you find that..also, color..what types of color can be used (candle, cosmetic etc)

    thanks.
