  1. I dont remember who it was but yes they froze the packing peanuts. As for me, on the Hot days I ship out on Mondays and Tuesdays and I Always use Priority Mail (have never had a problem with USPS). I wrap mine in Bubble wrap and LOTS of packing peanuts. I make sure it is tight in that box and I also put these large orange stickers that say "Fragile handle with care". I also ask my customers if there will be someone to get their package because it is wax and it will melt if left out in the heat. Now after ALL that said, If they leave it out in the sun it is THEIR problem not mine.
  2. Good for you!!!! He will come around to your candles soon,,you will see.
  3. When I set up to pour I put my jars in a box, I pour between 135-140. Then I cover the top of the box so that they cool slowly. So far with the new re-blended 444 I have not had any problems with Frosting or cracking or having to use my heat gun. Now when we first received the samples from GB THAT frosted and cracked. They (GB) took it and re-blended it,,this is what I am using now. You can also use some parrifin WITH the 444 if you choose to. I know some people that do that. If you continue to get frosting there is an additive called Frostop I think Millcreek may have this,,I know www.barnloftcandle.com has it as she sent me a sample with my pryme colors, this works also. I used it on the Samples GB sent out a while ago. If you like this wax try the different methods such as adding a wee bit of paraffin and see what happens. as far as storing and curing,,I use 16oz Wide Mouth Kerr jars and I use the cartons they come in and store them in this. Please remember all waxes will work for some people and maybe not others,,I find this geograhically true. We had a topic on that once. I hope that I have helped some of you out. Keep on testing:D
  4. I dont individually wrap my tarts,,After I make my Tarts I wrap them in Paper Towels to cure, Then I add them to my Cello bags, I sell 8 to a bag. I have shipped them all over including England (where my cousins are). I make sure my box is tight so that they will not get jostled about during shipping,,I sell them like crazy. JMO
  5. They look AWESOME!!!:highfive:
  6. At first it all seems very over-whelming BUT if you take a lot of notes and READ the Archives, there is a ton of information here and great people to help ya a wee bit. I started out as a hobby 4 years ago and I LOVE it still!!! It calms me and the feeling you get after you make them is almost euphoric!! I suggest you get a Kit to start out with. I got mine from www.peakcandle.com Their kits are well worth the money for all that you get with them. I started with Pillars and I love them still,,,Anyway WELCOME to CT and your new ADDICTION!!! Oh and dont forget a journal!!!! ALWAYS take notes when you make your candles!!!!
  7. Congrats!! They look awesome!! Good Job:D
  8. For me the 444 has the BEST hot/cold throw!! I still have the 464 and its okay but I prefer the 444. My Hubby also liked the way my candles smelled with the 444. I have one with Rose Bouquet and all ya have to do is walk past it (not Lit) and you can smell it. I have a 6 bedroom house and when that candle is lit you can smell it all over the house and thats in a 16oz Kerr wide mouth jar. If you are not sure just buy a sample and try it. That is where you will know whats best for you. I prefer Blended waxes over straight plain wax. HTH
  9. For the Lg fluted ones I put 8 in a bag for 5.50 same for my Lg Muffin tarts,, for the small muffins 8 for 3.50. I use Cello bags with metallic tyes.

  16. Hi, I use IGI-4625 and have NEVER had fingernailing UNTIL I bought Gemlite FO. Then I got them,,,So I decided to test this,,EVERYTIME I use the Gemlite FO my pillars fingernail,,,this FO does NOT blend well in ANY wax or at any temp,,its the same everytime.
