I have never ordered from Becky, all of her fo discriptions sound wonderful. Help me decide what to order, that will throw in soy. I'm hooked on bakery scents, while I have customers that like a wide variety. How is her duplicates? They all sound so wonderful, I'm really confused as what to order. Don't want to waste anymore money than I have to. Thanks

Thank you all for all of you ideas. Guess what,...she even left me a voice mail on Sunday. It was longer than the email. I wonder who her friend is that sent her my candles? If her friend lives in my area, then don't you think,... if I were to give her all the infomation she's requested, that her friend would be making them also, then before you know it there could be a lot more in my area copying from me? I found this board by myself , tested tons of suppliers, wasted enough money, spent hundreds & hundreds of hours researching, my house hasn't had a good cleaning in years, my family has eaten enough take out food to make them sick, I've missed Holiday's with my parents and family, had tons of laundry stacked ceiling high, smelled like a big candle when picking my daughter up from school (had people to tell me this) , wax in my hair, nose, eyebrows , along with dye on my face, clothes, nails,...to get to where I'm at today! I'm sure you all know what I mean. Heck no,...I'd give her my husband before she would get that kind of info.,...!!! (just kidding about the husband part). Thanks to all of you, you have been so much help.

Do any of you ever have to deal with people like this? I haven't emailed this lady back yet, what should I tell her? Should I answer her email or just ignore it? Maybe I should send her all of my 5 years worth of notes, recipes, formulas, suppliers, contacts, wholesale accounts, retail customer base, market ideas, etc. Better yet, maybe I should just take off from my busy schedule and fly to her home and do a hands on demo for her and move in until she can learn all of my methods! I haven't a clue as to who she is. Here is her email that she sent. "Hi my name is_____and I live in Georgia. My best friend got me a lot of your candles and tarts for christmas and now my husband and I have started making candles and tarts I am having a hard time finding jars and I can not find the bags to put the tarts in. I have been ordering my stuff from Texas. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out and let me know a good place to buy candle supplies at where you buy. Any information on the tart bags, candle jars, labels, how you make your candles or anywhere that have good prices on stuff would be great if you don't mind giving me that information. I was going to make lables at home if you know a good program for making labels and some where to get the labels at would be great I have looked for this stuff at offic depot and they didn't have anything I could use. I have seen tons of these and wondering who is the best supplier for the glass (crystal) warmers? Also, has anyone tried the touch lamp warmers? I would love to find some new and different warmers,...any suggestions besides the normal suppliers? TIA

I'm wanting to add cp soap to my line. I don't have enough time to do it myself. Looking for goats milk, essential oil, natural oatmeal etc. I know it is the busy season, I don't have to have it right now, after Christmas is okay. Thanks

I too would like to have a faster way of pouring and packaging,... to have at least a little part of my life back. Wouldn't it be great! If any of you come up with anything, pleezeee let me know. I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet! Way toooo busy!

Thanks, girls. Most of the time I don't let it get to me. For the biggest part, my competitors used to irritate me,...but now I figure that if they're bugging me, they're not bugging anyone else. I have a lot of loyal customers, and they make it all worth while. I started candle making for a hobby, like most, and it has ended up being a full time job. I just never thought it would be so addicting! I appreciate all of you on this board,...it helps me keep my sanity.

Competitive, stressful, tiresome, sneaky people, jealous people, grumpy people? This is the bad side, huh? There are lots of good sides to it also, I guess every business has it's moments. Do any of you let all this get to you? how do you cope with so many things to do and so little time? It seems hard enough making all the products, then here comes a snooper,... thinking ther're so smart, asking if I will show them how to start a business like mine, where do I get my supplies,...even had one lady ask how much I cleared off my products, and how much money do I make!!! One guy jerked out his check book and was writing down info on the bottom of my burners (fooled him,...had my name on the bottom) he,...he!:neener: I was thinking where my business will be in 3-4 years. If I get any bigger I'll have to go to automated wrapping. Do any of you ever feel this way?,..or is it just me,...stressed out? I never in a life time thought this business would be so rough, but yet rewarding. Does all this make sense? I think I need a vacation and here is the busy season! I need some feedback on Do it yourself website? Have any of you used this? Is it easy to maintain, easy to do, etc.? I would like to do my own site and maintain it and I don't have much knowledge. I need something that is easy and can keep updated with new products, without breaking my bank account. I had a lady working on my site and it was costing me mega bucks so I decided to let her go after the price was getting so high. Thanks
