  1. This was on the post about them being closed.... UPDATE - July 3, 2009: The response has been great regarding the continuing of Just By Nature as a supplier from customers and possible new owners. We are currently in negotiations this weekend for possible new owners of Just By Nature. Our great products and excellent customer service will remain the same under the new ownership. Please check our website often for more new updates. Thank you.
  2. LOL Im actually getting some from the co-op I'm hosting but it didn't say it warms
  3. Anyone know where to find warming powder? I had a member tell me ingredients to die for carried it but I checked and it looks like they no longer carry it. I want to make a warming face mask. Thanks again Samantha
  4. I wanted to try them, but I'm glad I didn't now. It's hard enough for me to spend $50 right now let alone $150! Especially for fo's you are not familiar with. I'm not about to drop $150 on fo's that I have no clue if they'll throw in my wax. Ya that's great that they lowered the price of their fo's but what's it matter if it's $5 or $30 if it doesn't throw. The best part of the email was "The reason for his is the time it takes to pack, invoice and ship an order has increased, so in order to keep our costs down and still offer the "Free Shipping on fragrance, we had to raise the minimum order." The time it takes to process an order???? Seriously!!!! If we did that to our customers, we'd have none....which is where they will be soon! The reason they got more orders is because they were advertising themselves, lifted the minimum and had a sale. BS in my book and not worth the time, I'm just glad I didn't waste the money and feel for you that did. JMO
  5. Hmmmm....... I just really don't think it matters. It would be different if she ONLY put her candles in there but she doesn't she puts a variety of items in there. Not just 1 candle (hers) there could be 5 different candles in there. How would anyone even know which was hers unless she put a sign in there saying "HEY BUY MINE" but if that was the case no one would participate to begin with. I think any advertisement is good, and its not like she just stops at putting your items in the box, she puts info on her website. She promotes YOU. It's just like most production companies, they start it to help others while promoting them selves at the same time, whats wrong with that? JMO
  6. don't know much about saltworks but you can also get the large salt crystals at mms-the sage. Also mica is a dry colorant used in B & B
  7. I get mine from OT and love it. It's $18.50 lb http://www.oregontrailsoaps.com/oils.html
  8. I use ICS and my customers love it.

  10. I need opinions on a good coconut fo for CP preferably a straight (pure) coconut. I need to make a small batch for my dad so I wanted to use coconut milk as a liquid, and then have a good coconut fo to go with it. Also, can you add dried coconut flakes on the top of the soap? I was just thinking it would give it a nice tropical appearance? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, I did do a search and found some helpful info but it seemed most was scattered info. Thanks again
  11. Check out the fragrance discussion threads. Theres a few threads in there discussing them Sound pretty good though from the reviews there.

  15. Now, was that really necessary? That's not the best way to introduce yourself. As to the "Just foods" comment. The posts where you mainly have foods are usually pertaining to "fall/winter" (what that post was asking for "fall scents") During winter/fall most (not all) look for comfort scents which include food scents, or a spice blend. They find it comforting to have this scents in there house when they have "cabin fever". If you are looking for "luxury scents" do some searching on here and you will find many. The search feature is very helpful. Here's a link to get you started. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38785&highlight=tranquil Most of these are usually in the summer threads, which are usually discussed during the winter since we're all working on our summer line then. Same with winter/fall threads, it's usually being discussed during the summer. The last thing you want to do is come onto a new board and insult the members on here. There are a lot of great people on here with a lot of good information.
  16. Another vote for Backwoods. Her oils work wonderful in CP, plus she has results posted on her site Great customer service and haven't had one fo fail in soy.
  17. I have been asked by some parents at my work about a natural or somewhat natural bubble bath. Their children have eczema and psoriasis and are looking for something that won't effect their skin. So I figured I'd try to find a recipe that they could use and hopefully not cause a flare up, or at least not as bad as Mr. Bubble LOL Any help would be appreciated.
  18. I have a couple chocolate bath salt recipes in the recipe section http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?p=768771#post768771

  21. BASIC BATH SALT RECIPE: 3 cups of epsom salt 2 cups of dead sea salt 1-2% of E.O. or fragrance (about 1/2 oz) Mix salts, then add coloring, mix well. Lay on a lined cookie sheet to dry out. Bottle and store in a dry location. FIZZY BATH SALTS: 2 cups of bath salts (epsom, dead, pacafic, sherpa salt, any) 1 cup baking soda 1/2 cup citric acid 10-20 drops of E.O. or fragrance add a few drops of coloring if desired Combine salts and baking soda, then stir in coloring if adding any and E.O./fragrance to desired color and scent. Mix very well, and then add the citric acid and stir again, very thoroughly. Bottle and store in a dry location. CALMING BATH SALTS: 1/2 cup of dead sea salt 6 drops of lavender E.O. 6 drops of geranium E.O. 6 drops of rose E.O. 6 drops of rosewood E.O. Mix together, and lay on a lined cookie sheet to dry out a little. Bottle and store in a dry area. Itch-Be-Gone Bath Salts: 1 cup Epsom salts or another variety 1 cup baking soda 1/2 cup powdered milk 1/2 cup plain instant oatmeal Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl using a mixing spoon. Add two tablespoons to running bathwater and soak until itchy skin feels relieved. Essential oils or food coloring can be added for appearance or aroma, but when adding to mixture, make sure to mix quickly and well to avoid clumps. Repeat as often as desired. Is great for mosquito or other bug bites, to hydrate dry skin or just to soak in. For a relaxing bath, add 3-4 drops of lavender essential oil to your water. Energizing Bath Salts: 1 cup salts (your choice) 1 cup baking soda 3-4 drops eucalyptus essential oil 5-6 drops peppermint essential oil Mix salts and baking soda in a bowl. Add essential oil and mix quickly to avoid clumps. Four to five drops of food coloring can be used to add a visual touch, but are not necessary. Any color that makes you feel energized would be perfect. Two tablespoons added to your bath will add pep to the rest of your day. Chocolate Cake Bath Salt Recipe: 1 cup Epsom salts 1 cup sea salt or kosher salt (we like course grain, but it doesn't matter) 3 tsp. cocoa powder 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. oil (almond, olive, sunflower or other good quality oil) In a clean, dry bowl, add together the dry ingredients and mix very thoroughly. Add the vanilla extract and oil. Mix very well again to ensure that the oil is completely blended in. Transfer to small clean jars or cello bags and close tightly. Chocolate Mint Bath Salt Recipe: 1 cup sea salt or kosher salt 1 cup Epsom salts 2-3 tsp. cocoa powder 5 drops essential oil of peppermint (optional) 3 tbs. dried, crushed mint leaves. In a clean, dry bowl, add together the dry ingredients and mix very thoroughly. Add the peppermint oil if desired and mix very well again. Transfer to small clean jars or cello bags and close tightly. If you don't like herbs floating in your bath water, place ingredients in the center off a piece of muslin or cheesecloth and tie closed before allowing the bath water to run through it. GINGER CINNAMON SALT BODY SCRUB: 1 cup of sea salt 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 cup almond oil or olive oil Mix all ingredients together, then gently rub over your damp skin (except your face) to slough off dry skin. Herbal Salt Scrub: 2 cups sea salt 1/2 cup almond oil 1/2 cup macadamia nut oil 1/2 cup sesame seed oil 1 tsp. vitamin E 1 tb. dried, ground lavender, rosemary, mint 1-2 drops e.o. Lavender Salt Scrub: 2 tablespoons dried lavender 2 cups sea salt 1/2 cup sweet almond oil 1/2 cup light olive oil 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil 2 drops lavender essential oil Crush the lavender in a mortar with a pestle. Mix together with salt and oils. While standing in a tub, work the salt paste into skin. Be careful as the oil can make the tub slippery. Place a towel in the tub if needed. Rinse in warm water. salt scrub: 1 cup dead sea salts 1/4 c cornmeal (finely ground) You could use organic blue to add color 1/4 c. sweet almond oil few drops of eo ( I use lavender, peppermint) Mix well, after shower apply mixture. Rub gently, rinse within 5 minutes. Use twice weekly. Pomegranate Salt Scrub Ingredients: for a 20 oz scrub: 18 ozs Dead Sea Salt 1/4 cup of either Sweet Almond, Macadamia Nut, or Apricot Kernel Oil (or a combination of all) 1/8 cup of Virgin Coconut Oil 1/8 cup Liquid Glycerin 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Gel 1 teaspoon Tocopherals (Vitamin E Oil) 1 tablespoon Pomegranate fragrance dash/or less Red Iron Oxide (optional for color) sprinkling of poppy seeds (optional exfoliant) Just another in our series of wonderful body scrubs. This time we used dead sea salt from Israel. Dead Sea Salt contains ten times more minerals than regular sea salt. These minerals assist in cleansing, detoxifying and restoring a healthy body, especially the skin and muscles. The carrier oils including the virgin coconut oil all absorb well into the skin without leaving a heavy feel. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Add the fragrance (more or less as desired). When adding the colorant, start with a very tiny amount (less than a pinch) of red iron oxide until the correct shade is achieved. Spoon into decorative jars or our wonderful plastic Bail & Wire jars. As with any scrub recipe, let it sit overnight and the oils will rise to the top. Stir when ready to use. Add more oils if necessary or if your scrub becomes dry after several months. With proper storage - shelf life 1 year. Caution: tub or shower may get slippery from the oils (off of pvsoap)
