  1. I haven't used them yet, but I was curious about this as well for my soy candles and body butters and someone suggested them. I've heard great things, and they seem pretty good with prices on them as well as shipping materials. They also have little ice blocks for tight fitting. Hope this helps :smiley2: http://www.uline.com/Browse_Listing_2158.asp?searchedkeywords=ice%20block
  2. Well after I totaled the cost of materials and then did some searching on sites with their cost I decided $22.00 was fair for my 7 oz. Now I could go lower but I could also go higher. When I was searching BBW has a 3.5 oz I believe for $28.00 then I found other sites that sold their 8 oz for $58!!!! I guess it depends on each person. I sell some, but they're not my top sellers either. Then again, I think with these you just need to find the right selling point and find the people that it benefits the most :smiley2: Hope this helps a little LOL
  3. I also use 100% soy and have had great scent throw hot and cold. My favs from peak's are: White tea & ginger (dead on dupe of BBW's) Pink sugar Orange Chiffon Cake yummmmmm!
  4. I swear I'm not trying to hi-jack this thread LOL. I had 2 sets. The first one I tried to unmold a day and a half later the other I let sit for a week. Maybe Im just cursed I used the recipe off pvsoap. I even tried the freezer nothing worked.
  5. I know when I put mine into a shaped mold mine wouldnt come out, and finally when they did they were in pieces. Maybe I'm just unlucky with the solid bubble bath but when I asked for help on them every one said they were't for use in molds like that just mainly log molds or to mold with your hands. I was so excited to try them too
  6. I've tried to tell my husband the same thing camo LOL it worked for a while but I think he's catching on that it might be cheaper if I did
  7. Hmmmmmm.....maybe a stupid question but how long have they cured for? I know with mine I will TRY them the next day on my hands and yes they will be VERY drying but after I let them cure for about a month they are GREAT. I have really dry skin and eczema to top it off and I use mine EVERY day and my skin's never felt better. A LOT of my customers feel the same way. Also after the first use I never have a gritty feeling the bar is actually really smooth almost like an ocean stone.
  8. I also use ICS and have had no problems with mine either. The reeds seem to absorb perfectly!
  9. Thanks for all the help everyone! I guess I will have to sit down and figure out which is best for what. I will just have to do an extensive search on the VEGAN thing.
  10. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!! Most of my oils are from them and now she keeps adding supplies. Hopefully she'll become a supplier for everything....fingers are crossed I always enjoy he free samples, but the customer service is GREAT and the oils are fantastic! I haven't found a scent from her I don't like and I use pure soy. My ULTIMATE fav. and biggest seller is the white cake.
  11. I apologize I can't just pick one LOL Lemon Meringue Pie YUMMMMMM Clean Cotton Coconut Lime Verbena Black Raspberry Vanilla
  12. I mainly use coconut oil since its hard to keep a good lather due to the salt Im at work right now so I dont have any recipes but I try to add extras like castor oil, grapeseed oil, and apricot to help with lather and to keep it moisturizing
  13. I don't know about the HP since I only do cp, but with a salt bar the basic recipe for this is say for instance you have one you use that consists of 30 oz of oils well at light trace you would add 30 oz of sea salt (not dead sea salt, I found that out when I ran out and tried to sub it LOL) pour in your mold and your good to go. Note that it does harden quickly so you have to slice it as it starts to harden and then then slice it again later because if you dont it is like trying to cut a brick! Hope this helps a little
  14. I am going to try to start using preservatives in my products but have no clue about them. Ive tried reading the info on them but it's sad to admit but I don't understand it Right now I make all my products natural, and I make it and sell it in small containers so it going bad isn't a factor. I am looking for something that will work in lotions, body scrubs, lip scrubs, shaving creams.....etc. I'd like to use just one if I could especially since I don't understand all the preservative lingo and stare at it in a daze LOL. Any help would be appreciated. Also this is going to sound really stupid but are preservatives VEGAN????? Ive tried reading up on it but couldn't determine if it was or not....blank stare once again LOL. All my products are vegan and I need to keep it that way. Thanks again for ANY help.
  15. Well, I get it from walmart when Im low and can't wait for shipping. When ever I get mine from there though the seals are always loose and its all melted and everywhere LOL. Im trying to order all my supplies in bulk to save a few bucks, id like to save a lot but thats only a hope:grin2: I have been ordering from MMS but to me there prices are fair but not great. Thanks for everyone's input because Im still looking around trying to figure out who to try next THANKS AGAIN
  16. My salt bars always get almost like a frost on them if that makes since LOL is there a way to shine them up to have them look nicer and smoother? Thanks
  17. Ive bought it from there several times when I was low but other than that they only have a couple every time I go there It's just easier to get it delivered then have to buy 2 or 3 here and there
  18. WOW I just checked out there site! How could I not have known about them well looks like I better warn my husband LOL THANKS
  19. For a while I was buying it from the grocery store, then mms. MMS has ok prices but was curious if there was somebody else with good quality, good customer service, and GREAT prices. THANKS
  20. Well I haven't tried the daystar but I'll have to be the odd ball LOL Just Scents white cake is TOP SELLER for me, I use 415 Pure soy and it has a SUPER STRONG scent throw both hot and cold. I can't make them quick enough plus its to the point where Im constantly making lotions and soap with this scent.
  21. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super fast shipping, great customer service, and their f.o.'s have a great throw (hot/cold) in my 100% soy. I have some samples for sale that I will be lowering the price this afternoon once I get off work.
  22. I love ICS F.O's and I use 100% soy cant vouch for the baby powder scent yet, but I can vouch for their customer service. I placed an order and afterwards had a question so I sent an email and recieved an answer within 10 minutes I WAS SO SHOCKED and IMPRESSED! Shipping was speedy too
  23. I have requests for these scents: COCOA CABANA, MAGNOLIA BLOSSOM, and MOONLIGHT PATH, and was curious of who has them and your thoughts on how close they are to BBW's. THANKS!!!
  24. I am interested in jojoba beads but have no clue who has the best for a descent price and am also looking to incorporate flower wax into my products and was looking for a good supplier for that as well. THANKS!!!
  25. The most I've ever seen at Michaels that I've ever heard of any one using is the foamy sticky dots LOL if that makes any sense I have NO CLUE to what they are actually called but from what I recall they are in the scrap booking section. I just use a glue gun. I got sick of paying for the stick ums. All I do is wick a bunch of containers at once that way they're ready when I need them. Hope this helps
