  1. I just buy a roll of 4" Shrink wrap and cut my own bands. Alot less expensive than Dan's Bands.
  2. I have made Cupcake Soaps using CP. Check the Gallery using Search for "No Calories, No Trans Fats" for a picture. I just used a regular muffin/cupcake pan and lined with cupcake papers, poured the CP soap in, let that set up and allowed the rest of the soap to get to a thick trace, put it into a disposable piping bag, with a decorative tip, and piped that onto the top. I don't believe that I gelled these, so wait 2-3 days and remove the cupcake papers. HTH
  3. Why not ask the friend what it is?
  4. How much FO did you use PPO? I recently did CP soap with Tony's Orange/Vanilla FO (Creamsicle) and was a bit disappointed in the scent at the beginning of the cure, but it has started to come back and I am happy with the scent now. :yay: Maybe your scent is a fader and then will reappear?
  5. I will be attending, and bringing my sister along for the drive (9+ hours) and Conference. This will be my first Conference and have no idea how they work, but am really looking forward to it.
  6. If memory serves me, I think Robin used the plastic egg cartons and had 4 bombs in it. Looked gorgeous.
  7. Uline has a Cdn. website, try them out.
  8. They are very cute. Love the green colour in the M&P soaps.
  9. Although I am no expert, I have experienced a partial gel (which I hate) and now put all my batches, except milk, in the oven to achieve a full gel. I believe what you see will not change regardless of the amount of time it is allowed to dry out, it will still be two toned and not very attractive. I rebatch all partial gel batches. What liquid percentage do you mean?
  10. I bought my bottle at the drug store. Is that not also known as Rubbing Alcohol??
  11. They really do look beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial.
  12. I want to try using Sodium lactate POWDER in my soap this weekend and just want to make sure I have it right. I normally do a 33% Lye solution but after reading it was suggested to do a full water. By the way I am doing this CP. So normally my Lye would be 7.407 oz. and 15.039 oz. distilled water, so I will change that to 7.407 oz lye and 19.95 oz. water with approx. .63 oz. sodium lactate powder added. On the MMS Calc. is stated to use 1.05 oz (2%) sodium lactate liquid so I just multiplied that by 60% to get the powder amount, hopefully that is correct. This is for a 52.5 oz. oil batch. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Helen
  13. I just ordered the powder Sodium Lactate from Lotion Crafters.
  14. I ordered the Lil Shaver Soap Beveler along with the Tank on March 7, but have to wait until mid April to use them as my SIL will be bringing them home to me then. I am excited about the Tank, but wished I had a review of the beveler, and might not have purchased it.
