  1. You will not be sorry, LadyinCali. These FOs are super strong. I wish they offered samplers or two and four-ounce bottles, but I'm off to do my order anyway. Puma ~ Funny, but I don't remember calling them much when I first started out. I might have called about wicks one time. I don't remember ever having any problems with them or their customer service.
  2. Reading this thread has taken me back to when I first started making candles and tarts six years ago. Cajun was the first supplier I ever ordered FO from. I remember loving every single one, but definitely had my favorites. Love Apple Strudel, Butter Cream Crunch, Apples & Berries, Christmas Memories, Lemon Drop, Mulberry Madness, Vanilla Bake, and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Thinking I might do a little order myself. :-)
  3. Yes, that would be silly...and expensive. I put two each of the new ones in my cart and the shipping was more than the cost of the FO. There are a bunch there that are good. I love Butternut Pumpkin, Autumn Pear, Cranberry Peppermint, and Coriander & White Lime.
  4. Oooh! Those sound good. I deleted that e-mail before I opened it. Oops!
  5. Wow! This sounds really interesting. I love pumpkin scents and have tried oodles over the years, but I can't say I have ever tried one blended with mint. I'm intrigued!
  6. Carol makes awesome tarts and she is the sweetest lady with the best customer service. I have ordered from her quite a few times and in fact, lol, may place an order this very weekend! :-) Her zucchini bread blends are my favorite!
  7. I agree with Candybee...Southern Garden Scents has the very best.
  8. WF Iced Lemon Biscotti is awesome, but it is more of a lemon cookie scent, not a lemon cake.
  9. Those are simply gorgeous! Look good enough to eat! Where can I get some?! :-)
  10. I second what Steve said. I've been using Tennessee's since they took it over from Wendy and it is the very best.
  11. What's your name? Valerie How old are you? 47 Where do you live? Rio Rancho, New Mexico (right next to Albuquerque) How long have you been making candles/soap/whatever? about 6 years How did you get started making candles/soap/whatever? I became addicted to Partylite candles in 2002, enough so that I became a consultant to support my habit. After we moved into the house we built in 2006 (as owner-builders), I decided to try my hand at making my own votives. Shortly after, I found this site and started making all sorts of other things from incense to CP soap. Basically, if it can have scent, I have tried it. Currently, I love to make tarts, but still make a few votives here and there. I've made body butters from scratch before, but now I just buy the bases and add fragrance. My husband tells me that I make the best shaving cream! :smiley2: I give most of my stuff away as gifts and love to send what I call "scented care packages" to anyone that I think needs one (birthday, cheering-up, or just because). Are you married? Any kids? I have been married for 20 years to an amazingly supportive man and we have two daughters, Amanda (17) and Shayna (15). If candle making isn't your primary job, what do you do? I've been a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for the past 18 years. I am so grateful to be able to be here for my girls whenever they need me. Anything else we should know? We have three cats (two Maine Coons and a Ragdoll) named Dharma, Zoe, and Safaia (we call the baby "Kitten" even though she is almost 3) and a Yorkie named Abbie. I also practice yoga/meditation daily and love to read.
  12. Cajun's Lemon Drop is a good, strong lemon with no bakery notes.
  13. Ditto on this! Ick! This stuff is nasty smelling. I never had the nerve to put in in wax.
  14. Originally posted by Camay "I placed an order as soon as I heard and received the order very quickly. But man, that box and everything in it REEKS of ciggybuts. So disgusting. I had to get rid of all the packaging immediately." Ugh! I hate to hear stuff like this. I'm waiting on my order of VBN and now will be hoping it doesn't stink as well.
  15. Darn! They have some really good ones. Sorry to hear this!
  16. Nope, that's not it, Lorelei. I tried some of those tarts a couple of months ago and they are yummy. It's a unique scent that I have not come across.

    Help

That's too bad. I really like the look of the clear ones because they allow you to see the pretty wax colors through them. Oh well, I just used them as samples anyway. I prefer to make most of my tarts in the 2 oz cups.
  18. LOL I only have a few bottles saved from FOs that I really liked and maybe can't get anymore of. Nope, you're not alone in this "oddness". :-)

    Help

I have been buying them from there for a while now, but I didn't get them with my last order a month or so ago. Wonder if they are just out of them at the moment.
  20. If you love spice, you will really love this fragrance. It's so good!
  21. Good one, Scented! LOL If I had to pick one favorite it would be KY Zucchini Bread. It blends so well with everything! But...I also LOVE Peak's Green Tea, ICS's Sugar Milk (not sure they have it anymore), and EL Cranberry Ginger Spice Tea (think this was discontinued, too).
  22. You have no idea!!! lol Been making smellie goodies for 5 1/2 years and still love it! It's always exciting when someone new gets bitten by the bug. ;-) Glad you're enjoying it so much!
  23. In my opinion, TN's Spicy Apples & Peaches is better than The Candle Source's, but last I checked they had been out-of-stock for a long time. JS's Cotton Candy Frosting is yummy in B&B, but doesn't seem to throw that well in my tart wax.
