  1. Shipping was not bad at all. For 20 lbs, the shipping was $12.06 for me. Ordered Monday night and got it Friday afternoon. Busy times ahead for the soap molds next week.
  2. We have 6 flavor oils from WSP (Strawberry smoothie, watermelon, cafe latte, wintermint, bubble gum, and cherry vanilla) I can tell you this - they smell very strong out of the bottle (and don't taste that great at full strength. Even though you don't want to, I just happened to get some on my fingers) Once we put them in lip balm they seem quite weak, especially the coffee. We did get them where we like them and they are working nice for us though. If I get a chance in a few minutes I'll go smell the cafe latte in the bottle again and compare it to what you described.
  3. If you have it on excel, but the fields to calculate are just not filled out, you could send it this way and I could work that part out for you.
  4. I always get mine from candlescience. By far, they are the least expensive I have found, great quality, fast shipping. Never had a problem with them, and the concave ones give a nice looking top.
  5. I just got 10 lbs of the yellow and 10 lbs of the soap grade. $27.50 for 20 lbs. of shea, I'm not gonna complain - and from the sounds of previous posts the shipping shouldn't be too bad either.
  6. I'm actually going to try doing that today. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm using ZenCart with the PayPal IPN module and I just downloaded a google checkout module. I think that they should play nice together in my case but I'll post how it goes later today.
  7. We have an extra bedroom set up as our workshop. A lot of our supplies are stored in those plastic dresser type things that stack. Also, a bunch of the rubbermaid plastic shelving units. Our FOs are in metal file cabinets, and I put up shelves on the walls everywhere I could. We also have a guest bedroom that has lots of wall shelving where we keep our stock of pillars and a few other candles. As it was said earlier, you will find ways to use every inch of available space. I don't know how many times I have been working and thought of a better way to fit more and rearranged things.
  8. The Wally ones are rounded at the bottom. I don't like those as much. I stocked up on the 12 Square Libbey at DT last month and then I was there again last week and they had a bunch more. These are really great containers and have been going great. I just hope that they get a bunch more here... because I haven't found them on any sites - but if nothing else, Hobby Lobby carries them at $2.00 each (double price - Ouch).
  9. I'm using ZenCart with Paypal IPN as a payment option (which allows me to accept PayPal payments as well as credit cards for people who don't have PayPal accounts. The nice part is that I never see any of the credit card info as PayPal handles it all for me. I also accept checks / money orders for payment, but I will not ship out an order payed by check until a week or so after payment is received to make sure the check clears. This is stated clearly on my site so that people understand that paying by check will slow their order down quite a bit.
  10. I'll agree they do need a new website badly. If you click on scents right away you get to descriptions and nowhere to order without an easy way back. I do order from them quite often though because of a few FO's I just checked my last 2 invoices from them and one the order total from them shows $139.86 and my credit card was charged $136.58. Off the wrong way from what you were saying, but if they can be off one way they can easily be off the other. How many other places have this on their invoices? "IMPORTANT: Shipping cost is a close estimate and may vary due to number and weight of boxes. Hundredweight discounts are not applied by the shopping cart, they will be applied by our office personnel and be reflected on your final invoice." You just need to realize that is how they work their shipping I guess, even though they should find a way to fix that.
  11. I have never noticed a difference in charges from BCN and I order quite often from there. I guess I am going to go back and actually check the last few invoices from them just to make sure that what they charged is actually what I thought I was paying.
  12. It's ok. solved the problem and got a color laser printer. Clear waterproof labels work just great for me. I'm sure the rub on paper would look great - similar to many retail bottles. It's just more trouble than I'd like to go through.
  13. I have found that expanding into B&B has definitely made a difference. We are also looking into adding reed diffusers with EOs due to several customer requests, but as of right now that is in the "looking into it" phase - still not exactly sure if that's going to go or not.
  14. I'm also not canadian, but I use ZenCart and ship international as well as domestic. One thing I did notice (the main reason I got the USPS shipping calculator going) was that I was doing shipping based on order total which was way off once we added small weight items. The shipping calculator actually works very nicely, and since I'm in the US I put in an option for flat rate for US customers incase it ends up cheaper than the other methods.
  15. They come with full toner cartridges - listed at 2500 sheets black and 2000 sheets for each color (at 5% coverage). That's quite a bit of printing i'd say.
  16. That open box wasn't there when I got mine. It is $100 less, but I'd still stay away from it. That means it was an open box (customer return) so who knows how much toner, etc. they used out of it. The 299.99 was what I paid for mine (plus 29.99 shipping) which isn't bad for a 60lb. printer box.
  17. Raggedy Dani, Tray 2 is the tray where you pull it out to put in a bunch of paper. Tray one is the slot with the two slides you can see from the front (you have to load one sheet at a time in there). I did notice that I would get jams in tray 2 when I tried running very heavy cardstock prints through there and also the sheets came out a bit curled. So I feed heavy cardstock through tray 1 as well. I use the sheet tray (tray 2) for the paper I use for invoices / receipts, catalogs, brochures, etc.
  18. Sassyjo, I hear you on the epson thing. I love my epson inkjet. Too bad they didn't make a laser printer, but this HP 2600 is treating me very nicely. Beth-VT, to answer your question, the HP 2600N is a one-pass printer so you'll get the same print speed for black or color. I've seen those 4-pass printers and they are sloooowww. Which for a laser printer this is not (especially for its price).
  19. kittykat, I use the clear labels from labelsbythesheet in 2" x 4", 1.8" x 1.8", and 2" x 2 5/8" printing in color - setting the printer on "transparency" settings. Also, I manual feed the label sheets into tray 1 when I do labels. HTH, any more questions feel free to ask.
  20. Something tells me without more detail you're not going to get the answer you are looking for. What kind of experience? Also, an opinion on what?
  21. I also recently got a HP 2600N color laser and it is great. For the price you really can't beat it. I got mine at newegg.com for $339 including 2 - 3 day shipping. Can't recommend them enough for anything computer related. I'm half way across the country and still get my orders 2 days after I order. Also, for toner, it is $70 per color there including shipping so you'll save a bunch there as well. The toner carts are good for 2500 sheets black and 2000 sheets each color at 5% coverage. That's a lot more than you'll get from inkjet cartridges by a long shot. If you figure out the cost on that compared to ink it's quite impressive (although I don't have the numbers in front of me right now.) Another thing - if you are looking to make clear waterproof labels don't try with an inkjet (I did at first, even spraying them with clear acrylic before removing from the sheet and the ink still ran off easily if it got wet.) Clear Laser printer labels will be waterproof without doing anything else to them (that was my number one reason for getting the printer) - but having low cost printing that looks clean and crisp is a nice bonus.
  22. I use BCN Cinnamon Red Hot as well. It is a huge seller for us.
  23. I have one scent that does that as well... Not sure why, but I made the container candle white and the melt pool after it hardens is tan. Not that it really bothers me, just a curiosity thing I guess.
