  1. I just found this thread and I was hit too on March 3rd. And then I had more charges on March 5th. Mine started through my Paypal debit card with charges for Xbox Live, Apple Itunes. Then because my business checking account is connected as backup for my Paypal debit card and my American Express card they were also hit. I had charges on all 3 cards for Hillsdale College, and more Xbox Live, and a bunch of other places. I had to report all 3 stolen and now have to wait for new cards. So frustrating!!! After reading all the posts, I am not wondering if this didn't happen because of Paypal. I thought that it was because of Xbox Live because my son's subscription was supposed to renew. So weird how so many people got hit on the same day! I think I am going to change some things in my Paypal account so that I don't have all those accounts connected to Paypal. What a mess!!
  2. I don't understand either what they are doing..first they combine shipping into the price of their item. Which for customers that live close that is not being very fair and now they are making a $30 minimum?? I think I will be looking for a different supplier. Just getting tired of their messing around with prices and shipping. I do love their lotion base but now I see they put their price up on some of the gallons of lotion. I saw someone mentioned the Chemistry Store...think I will be checking them out. This is ridiculous!! I have been buying from them for about 9 years and I almost sent them an email letting them know how I feel..maybe we all should..don't know if it would make a difference or not. Just sad with the economy the way it is that they are taking advantage of their customers.
  3. Ravens okay, I think I fixed it...sorry about that. It was a check mark in my options section that I had to remove. And I was so anxiously awaiting your response. Can't wait to hear what I am doing wrong.
  4. I have the same situation and I am testing different kinds of wax and scents. I really want a strong scented tart that also gets an "A" so Ravens I just sent you a PM. I would love any help you can give. I currently do use the CBL129 and blend with GW444. And I just ordered in the KY tart wax..actually 50 lbs. I had ordered a sample and have been testing that wax. I found that some scents seem maybe a little stronger but not quite as much as I would like. I wish it were easy to make a strong scented tart but I am starting to wonder. I have been candles and tarts for about 8 years now and both are ok but I know that most customers want everything very strong.
  5. Thank you so much for the link! I didn't even realize that she wasn't selling them anymore.
  6. Okay, instead of listing everyone that I just fanned...any posts above me I have fanned you... That was a lot of fanning (is that a word?). I saw alot of great pages!~
  7. NiksWaxNWicks, Sorry you couldn't PM me. I must have something set wrong in my settings. I just added myself to your pages. And thanks for adding to mine. If anyone else wants to join mine here are the links. I hope I got them posted right. This is the fan page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?filter=app_2361831622#/pages/Backroad-Hobbies/86260240919 This is the group page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?filter=app_2361831622#/group.php?gid=86761615980 Great way to connect with other businesses!~
  8. Yes, they are out. I ordered some too and was told that it won't be in until the end of the week. But she did mention about the delivery coming and when the trucks come with the wax so maybe they don't make it.
  9. Hi, yes I have one and love it! I am also slowly getting more fans but I think it is a great way to expose your business. I also do some advertising too with Facebook...just with the little ads along the side of the Facebook page. I will PM you my page! Thanks in advance and I can also join yours too!
  10. Carol, thanks and that is just what I'm going to do...thank you for reminding me! I needed that...and actually I just got an order from someone who found me on there so I guess that comment didn't stop them...
  11. From reading some old posts on here and from what I understand if you are going to mix your own blend of the 4630 & C3 waxes. Is it better to do a 50/50 mix rather than a 70/30? The 70/30 is what we are currently using and it seems to giving us a very nice candle. I am just wondering if the 50/50 mix would give us a better hot/cold throw. We are also using about 1/2 tsp per lb of coconut oil, which we feel is definitely helping the wax. I read someones post that said that it is very hard to do your own 70/30 mix and get a good combination that really works. We are heating the wax to about 185 and then pouring around 170 and it is giving us a nice creamy looking candle with very little wet spots but I was just curious if we would get better results doing half & half. I guess if noone has any ideas we will just need to try it and see the difference and post our results.
  12. We love the Buttered Maple Oats & Honey, Butted Naked, Downy Clean Breeze, Harvest, Banana Nut Bread. We have been with them since we started about 8 years ago and have not been dissapointed yet!
  13. I was very hesistant to post this on the forum but I need some advice. I was reading this post last night and I feel the same way! I have tried different types of wax for tarts and use the suggested fragrance oil 1 oz- 1.5 oz per lb. I am currently using the 4794 and feel I am getting a very good throw from it. And from reading the posts last night I may look into getting the KY Parasoy and try that but the shipping will be an isssue. But what upsets me is that I don't know if anyone else has been on the candlefind.com forum but girls post there about different companies and how their tarts or candles perform. My situation is that only customers can put messages on there not businesses and so if there is a comment left there about your product, there is really nothing you can do (unless you know where the comment came from and contact the customer about it). And I did have a customer that wanted to post a positive comment on there about my product but she said that they are not allowing anymore on the forum. Just recently I discovered that someone that bought from me on Ebay puchased fragrance oils and left positive feedback on Ebay and said how she loved the oils. Then on candlefind she posted about a sample scent that I put in her box for FREE how she thought the scent was very strong in the pack but when she put in her tartwarmer after 2hrs in a small office she could not smell anything. But she didn't mention how she loved my oils. I currently have that same tart burning in my tartwarmer and I can smell it after a few minutes throughout a couple of my rooms. And it is throwing great for me! I know that the site reaches many buyers and my concern is if someone would read that it could hurt my business and there is no way of me posting that maybe it was her tart warmer. I don't know if I should contact the buyer because I did figure out who it was or let it go. It just upsets me because I have tried my best to put the a high quality product out there and she never contacted me but like I said she got it for free. I just feel the forum is a little one sided when you can't post anything as a business about the situation but other buyers can read their posts.
