Yah, I would expect the mulberry to more of a purple color, or at least SOME color, how weird.
So, have you tried it out yet? How is it? That's what really matters.
I love the color of your lavender, and those swirls are beautiful-definitely can see a face in at least one bar.
-
Never thought I'd say this to anyone- but those are some pretty balls!!
Seriously, those came out perfect, and I also like the little flower bombs!
-
I prefer the tubes b/c with long nails it's hard to just get my finger in the pot and carrying around a lip brush in my hand bag, I just know that would be lost in the black hole somewhere.
LOL

I'm wondering how good for you an "all over" antipersperant" (sp?) would be? I mean, what it does is block your glands from sweating.
I know that you need to sweat somewhat to keep your body cooled, and to rid the body of toxins etc.
That being said, I sweat like a guy (how embarrassing, I can't even believe I told you all that!
), and if there WAS something out there that hindered that somewhat, I might be tempted. LOL
As a matter of fact, I've yet to find a deodorant/antipersperant that works to my satisfaction, I'm always worried that I "smell", een though hubby assures me that I don't.
-
Yep, that looks like it would work perfectly Jennifer.
Now that you mention it, I have all the supplies I THOUGHT I needed to make lotion, but didn't even think about getting something to help me put it in the bottles-DUH! LOL
Alas, no Michaels near me though, I wonder if Walmart has anything similar to that??
I swear I should have bought stock in Walmart years ago, I'm there at least once a week if not more.

I feel silly now. Anyway, I am using straight paraffin, with no additives (making container candles).
Ok, here you state that you're making container candles (I really thought you were making pillars per your other posts), and then here:
One is for candle smoothness and the other is for aid in mold release. It did not matter anyway, I got the same results. I am using 1 oz per pound of FO. I only melt 1 pound at a time. You state that you were adding an additive for aiding in mold release.
I'm sooooooooo confused now.
I really don't think a straight paraffin is the best wax for container candles, as it's pretty hard, which means it takes longer to get a FMP, which then means you won't have as much scent.
JMHO
-
Yah, I was gonna say, ouch, that stuff is quite abrasive!
I know I wouldn't want to use that all over my body!
Hmmm trying to think what you could use that would break down the oil, without using abrasive additives.
-
WOW those are really really glittery!! SO, how much glitter do you think you use per bottle? Are those 8oz. bottles or what?
I'm curious, b/c the cosmetic grade glitter is kind of pricey.
I bet those sell really well, especially with the teens!
-
I actually got a BIG bowl of these from my secret buddy (Thanks Buddy!!
), she used that round kind of fluted edged glass container from walmart-hard to explain but I've seen some people here make candles in them-almost looks like a souffle bowl.
Anywho, they are AWESOME-love 'em, got them with plastic wrap over the top, unwrapped them, put 'em by the sink, and use them everyday.
I have to say my kids love them too, it's a novelty to them, so they're actually washing their hands more! YEAH!!
I just wish I knew what they were scented, smells like rose, but very light and kind of woodsy too. ???
They are multi colored also, never seen sooo many colors! Blue, green, burgandy, pink, red, etc.
-
Oooh I really like those a lot!
You said the first one has oatmeal hearts? care to further explain that? I'm confused, but very curious as to what you mean.
-
Ooooh those are sooo pretty, and they remind ME of a brewing storm, which seems appropo for a "wake up" soap.
Yummm I bet that scent combo is wonderful!!
-
WOW those are sooo darn purdy!
They DO look like sherbert scoops!
Sooooooo what are they scented?!
I'm definitely going to have to try making these "bombs" some day. After seeing all the cool ones here, it seems like a must.
-
What a darling idea, very creative and it sounds like they were a hit with your boys!!
I think clear ones (with color added) would be really cool also.
-
Cool Cheryl, so basically you've got natural scent and coloring-voila a perfectly unique soap, I love it.
-
I'm pretty sure you can put cosmetic type glitter in it, but like someone else mentioned you'd just have to shake it (as it will tend to sink to the bottom) and it may clog the sprayer.
i think it was Brambleberry that sells a sprayer that supposedly will handle this (I'm pretty sure I read it on their site). ??? But don't quote me on it.
-
Bummer Cheryl, I hope you find a B&B safe Hyacinth!
-
Those are smooth and creamy looking.
I agree, those would be perfect at Easter time also.
Very pretty!
-
Oooh I really really like those, the pastel chunks just "make" them IMO!!
Where did you get those massage molds at?
-
That was my exact thought when I saw them- what kind of material could you use to make a "fortune" inside each one that wouldn't get ruined in the water, and then put them in little chinese take out boxes, and those would be a big hit I'd think.
-
Those are beautiful Shannon!
Those big dudes are HUGE, how do they sell? I mean how do they do in the bathtub, don't they have oils in them, and is it a lot of oil in the tub with one of those?
Just curious as I've never tried a bath bomb before, so don't know what the purpose of them is at all.
I really like the decorative additive on top!
-
Those are very pretty and creamy looking, what are they scented?
I think your son and family will really appreciate those!
Yeaaa Hawww! ~~Updated w/ cut pics

WOW Cheryl, I am very impressed!!
That is some beautiful soap there girl, first try and swirled also, where's that bowing down smilie when you need him?? ![:D](//content.invisioncic.com/r248437/emoticons/default_biggrin.png)
I too think it looks like butterscotch or butter pecan or pecan and praline....... I think the icecream container is leading my direction if you couldn't tell! LOL
You were brave, jumped right in, and look at those results, you should be very very proud of yourself!! (I'm such a chicken, I STILL haven't tried my M&P soap stuff yet!! LOL)
Can't wait to see your next batch!
