  1. I should have explained it better more like a skin when you pour. I guess that is normal with SFIC bases then. Do you know any bases that don't do this? Thanks for your help candy :)

  2. LOL, I bet it is cheaper to buy coconut oil instead of buying all the coconuts! Of course, unless you live where you can just gather them

Definitely you don't get much out of it either. I know where I live one coconut is over $4 so it's not worth it for me ;)

Mountain Rose Herbs has a powdered aloe that is nice in soap it gives a nice speckled look :)

  3. I bought the kind in the container just straight coconut water no additives. I didn't buy fresh because I can't stand coconut! I don't mind it in soap though except for the scent lol. If you follow soaping101 on youtube she did a soap and used the whole coconut in her soap it was really cool.

  4. Almond milk works wonderful in soap I usually add it at trace. I would be careful with the chocolate mint because it's high in sugar maybe put it in the fridge so it won't overheat. I love soy milk in soap too. I've been thinking of trying the soy milk creamer to try that out.

  5. Although the PKO gave me lovely, hard bars that lathered wonderfully, they could not match the lather of my CO bars when compared side by side. The lather of my CO bars was slightly more bubbly and felt like it had more depth or 'oomph' to it than my PKO bars.

This is what I have noticed also & I didn't care for it. I love lots of lather!

  6. For me personally it was way more drying on my skin this is why I stick with coconut oil. You'll just have to try it out for yourself. I have seen recipes with both though. PKO does make a nice hard bar too :)

  7. That is good to know. I hardly use fo's due to allergies so that shouldn't be a problem.

That is the one thing though I need to figure out is putting it somewhere she can't get to. I never realized how much they climbed, so I'm learning the hard way lol. Thanks!

  8. We took in a stray cat & she is my first kitty so I'm new to cat care. I know a lot of essential oils are no no's to put on cats, but are using oil/tart warmers ok around her with essential oils, tarts etc.? I just want to make sure I don't want to hurt her.

  9. I have an aromatherapy book, but I haven't really used it. Many of the "recipes" called for sandalwood and once I saw the price of sandalwood E.O. I just about fell over..........

Yeah there are way more eo's that are cheaper than sandalwood. You could try amyris it is similar to sandalwood :)
