Tell me if I understand this right. You center the tab on the bottom, with the wick setter, and the top with the centering tool. You dont have to buy the setter, if you eye ball your tabs?? Then you can just buy the top part, centering tool? They look neat!! I want some!!

I think the main issue is incorporating air bubbles from stirring too much. But if you used a wisk and stirred gently I dont think it's a problem. That's what I do!

If you call the company of the wrap covering you want to use, you can ask them is it is made of polypropylene (good) and polyethylene (not good). My spelling is probably off, I used to be able to spell it! They are usually very cooperative if they know why you are asking. If I remember right, Saran wrap original is ok but not the cling type. All cellophane is good. Sam's Club wrap was ok.

I found more frosting when I used powdered dye than liquid dye. I was not expecting that result.....

I used premier 760 in my jelly jar with strawberries and champagne and it burned good. I also used an LX24 and it did almost as good.

Yes, you can re-melt it in the microwave, just keep an eye on it! I think you may need to go up a bit with the wicks. I think the 4" diameter will need more than CD12.

And if I remember correctly, they are very concentrated so you can use less than what is normally used per pound.

I think you were right with the wicks being too short. I have found this to be so in my case, and I have also read that working with soy your wicks should be 1/2".

I love this scent! It is awesome in my soy. Most of my customers love it, too.

Yippeeee! I just saw that! I also did 50/50 with SS and 464 for an experiment and it turned out beautiful, too!

Heather, I'm almost in driving distance. Where are you? I'm south of Lansing about an hour.

I'm finding that frosting is worse if you pour cooler than 130* and if it cools too fast. I had a couple that frosted horrible but the heater was off in my pouring room and I didnt know it! The others were good.

I'm hoping Beth will carry it at SouthernScentsations!! :wave:

I like these wicks a lot! There is a company that sells them by the 100's. Only the last I looked they don't carry all the sizes. I can't remember the name of the company but I have it bookmarked here somewhere.......

Sheri, did you trim the mushroom? Maybe you trimmed the wick too short. I have found the same thing happens to me if I trim the wick. Then I would put in another similar wick leaving it longer, and it acts like the original one did before trimming.
