  2. as for the crisco..i have never used it, but I dont make container candles either. Sorry! I have played around with them, but i like pillars better..more of a challenage i guess
  3. Holy cow! You have been making candles for 2 weeks & already having to replace a vendor....Forhisglory..you need a miracle! Who is making you do this..cause its not safe...making candles takes time, TESTING & MORE TESTING!! But, yes..slow down like bugtussle said.
  4. I've only been doing this 8 months & I cant even think of how much I have spent. Just gettin started was expensive. I'd say well over 3,000 bucks so far.. & that could be a low number.
  5. Oh please answer cause yes i want to know too..if so I will buy one. I'm not sure if i do enough to afford this but hey if it makes it easier..i'm gettin one. lol
  6. Thats so funny, I just did that the other day & posted it on here in Photo Gallery. I hate when that happens..
  7. I've been making these too & we use glass tea light cups from www.cudge.net Thanks to Cleanglow I found out the glass tea lights work better.
  8. Curious..whats the difference between that & the presto? I know what the difference is litteraly, but is the turey frier better then the presto pot. I cant keep up with you guys. I started out using the double boiler & then read about the presto pot so went & bought one of those..now i'm hearing about the surf & turf...when will it stop! lol
  9. Ok, i searched it earlier & couldnt find anything on it...guess i was trying to search to hard....I searched tea lights & BAM got what i needed..Sorry. I still would like to hear what others have to say though. What do you like to use & what works better?
  10. Ok, I am making tea lights now..not sure why cause i can get them at wal-mart cheaper, but i guess just knowing that I made these..makes it different. My question is.. I have Ecosoya pillar blend here already. Can I use that for tea lights too or should I get a container blend? Thanks Kay
  11. Can I get the PM's too..i'd love to know Kay
  12. Great! & thanks again for the plugs..they make it allot more simpler. I like that i dont have to use a sealer on the wick hole. Your on to something there. Let me know when you get the bigger plugs..you have one customer here..
  13. Ok great..i understand now. I thought you had to use a soy based wick..or like the ones i mentioned. I understand now..the ones i used seemed to be ok..but i'm going to try some others...Thanks
  14. It works allot better.. I didn't even have to hold it in place.......
  15. Shouldn't you use wicks for "Soy wax"...like the HTP's, ECO's or LX's? I was under the impression regular old 36-24-24C wicking wouldn't work. Am I misunderstanding?...i'm just now making my own tea lights from soy to use in my Forever Palms. Was wondering about the wicking so i ordered tea light wicks, but in Eco's series, but if i can use just regular wicking i have that here at home. I used some HTP's I had here & cut them down to make the ones i posted yesterday. Kay
  16. I just wanted to get some feedback from my Mother N Laws soap. She has been making for about 3 weeks now & I think she has a nak for it. What do you guys think. Kay Oh the ducky is soap too..not just a rubber duck..thought I'd throw that in....
  17. Yes i did..I also put a glass tea light over the plug so that the glass tea light was in the candle as well. Worked out great. I had to clean up around the top edge, but nothing major.
  18. Yes it does. I was wondering about that & was happy to see it worked.
  19. Oh I finally did it!! I had trouble the other day, but finally got it right....I've been working on this one candle for about 2 weeks.. I'm happy with it. No scent on candle, but scented tea lights I did too today with 100% Soy...Pina Colada, Lavendar & Cool Cucumber... Kay
  20. Well it wasnt completely done either..I rushed it..i've done it once before too, you'd think i would learn...lol
  21. Oh no I wouldn't dare sell...i'm still in testing stages. Its harder then it looks. I ended up just remelting & did all over again...I do have a question though about scents....the smell of my palm wax is overpowering my F.O. I got this batch of wax from Ebay..I know I know...get my supplies from suppliers & I normally do, but i wanted to test it out & thought I would buy 5 pounds, just to se how it was. I found someone on ebay that sells it & tried it. I'm kinda worried though cause after my bid was won her items were pulled from Ebay..not sure why, but i got an email saying I might not receive my items cause her items were pulled from Ebay. I did receive my palm wax, but wondering if its suppose to have a strong smell. I thought soy wax was bad, but man this stuff is bad..gives me a headacke if i dont vent well & i mean well....can anyone help me? I had to use 2 oz of F.O. to get a little smell from this 4x3 pillar. Isn't that alot? Help me to understand this.please. Kay
  22. Hmmm..well dauh..thanks!!!!!..i'll try it Kay
  23. Ok, I got into a rush..i pulled out of mold to quick & pulled wick right out....Man i could kick myself sometimes. It turned out great too..Was so looking forward to a new test burn with HTP 1212 wicks too. KAy
