Have I not paid attention or got a bad batch? Smells like grease to me...cooking grease. I have not noticed it before, but half way thru this box...whew.

I am test burning candles made...only on the 3rd burn no cooking fires yet.

Anyone else notice this?

I have used this wax and not noticed that smell. Perhaps you should contact Brenda on this one. I am sure it is possible to get a bad batch.

I'm looking to try the IGI 4627 for my apothecary candles. But Lonestar's minimum order is 25 lbs for $33. Does anyone know of another company in the Texas/Oklahoma area that carries this wax?

Well I got a small bottle just to see.

Scented, I just can't decide if I like Autumn Leaves or not. I bought two bottles & they're just sitting there. Maybe I should send them to you, you know, along with some more bon-bons....

I hadn't thought of Apples & Oak. Maybe Applejack & Peel. Hmmm.

Autumn leaves smells like pine trees IMO. Not what I expected.

Have any of you bought Frostop from Barn Loft Candles? I placed an order on 8/24 and still haven't received my order and can't get them to answer my messages either....just wondering if anyone else had any problems with them.

Any container (or even non-container) wax will work for wickless as long as your heating device has enough wattage to melt it.

4627 is not difficult to wick. Try the recommended CD or HTP.

What about the premier 700 series from wick-it with this wax. Will that work as well.

i had to use 30 drops of mc's black dye per lb to get a dark black.

i know it's alot, but i had no trouble with the wick getting clogged, was just expermenting to see just how many it would take to make it really black and it worked. i use 100% soy.

Gien the less than stellar reviews on her scents and service, the last thing I'd be doing is gambling on switching to a wax she provides.

Some of JS's oils are great. It is just like all the other suppliers out there. Some have some really good ones and some are ok. That is why we have choices. I will be trying this new wax. Nothing to lose. I placed orders last week from 3 suppliers. The only one I have received was from JS so far. Service means alot. As far as her oils go, I have some really great ones from her, some are not so good but I feel that was more me than the oils.
