If you haven't already, you might want to wrap them in plastic wrap to protect them from drawing in moisture and sweating. CP soaps can be left open, but M & P might get moist if you don't protect it. Just a suggestion, Soapymomma

Thanks, yep, they are melts and are all gingerbready scented. I do two sizes just to make it look more interesting. The tiny ones make great embeds too. I often put them around the bottom edge of a pillar candle for the holidays too.

The milk is actually harder to make look real than the muffins are. My secret of making the muffins a good color is pure beeswax. I use the rich darker beeswax blended with paraffin and it creates that just baked look with only a little brown colorant in there. Thanks for the nice comments.

This is going to be no help to you at all Candybee, but I do not know aobut soy soap. I would love to know about this base. Where do you buy it? It sounds very interesting. Hopefully people who know about it will pipe in here and give us the scoop. Soapymomma

Hey, Candy Corn is a candy that we use mostly in the fall. It is sort of vanilla flavored and yes, is sort of symbolic of the season through Thanksgiving. I have included a picture of my wax candy corn. They are not that much fun to pour with the three colors and being tiny and all. The real thing is yummy though.

They are your melts, so why not try a few with the highly scented wax and unscented embeds and see how they work for ya? That would be my best suggestion.

I have had requests for some funny things in the embed department before, like a whole raw chicken didn't do that one and fake blood for a Halloween play-- which I did make , but I had never thought about rhubarb before even though we grow it here. It took a lot of trial and error before I got happy with the way it looks. It is not perfect, but if someone was to use it in a pie, it would be ok. I think. Wouldn't it. Especially with some strawberries with it. Ok, no more posting for tonight. I am just so happy to be back amoung the boards:highfive: that I might misbehave a little.

This is a hot chocolate coverd with marshmallows and a gingerbread cookie side dish. Yum yum.

These are my muffin candles with a glass of milk. Maybe someone could offer them to Santa and watch his dentures get stuck. LOL:p They do smell very good!

I agree, they should be scented or else when your melt is melting, there will be unscented parts and that would not be so nice to smell just melting wax. I don't know about mixing scents. If you do you might just try a tiny bit of each and see how they mix and how they smell. I don't know about the Qtip test.

We poured one with a blue background and a little different one with the green. Do you like these better or the white? Sorry the pic is fuzzy. One customer just loves dragonflies, so we are always looking for differnt molds and ways to pour them. She orders twenty at a time, so we want to present her with good ones.

Any feedback on Indiana Candle's Cactus & Sea Salt It just sounds interesting, but I have never heard of the scent. If you have used it, can you explain what it is like? It is tempting, but I just don't know.:tiptoe:

:laugh2: :laugh2: I thought I was going to see people parts! Yet, I looked, uh? Those are wonderful and beautiful soaps! I too love the bright colors. I would not care if the lather was a little colorful. It rinses off and does not stain anything. My charcoal soaps are like that. Soapymomma

I make soy candles and try to AVOID that look. Usually it means the candle cooled too fast or it was poured at the wrong temp or something. If my tops look like that I fix them or remelt them. Natural beeswax with nothing else added will get bloom which is a white powdery film that coats it when it sits around a bit, so maybe someone figured that if they called that messed up looking soy bloomed it would make it sound more natural too. I don't know, but I think it looks like crap and should be avoided if you have pride in the appearance of your candles. LOL!

I sell SFIC base on my site, so am in touch with the company pretty regularly. Not only have their prices gone up quite a bunch, making it nearly impossible to offer the bases at an attractive price, but the shipping costs have increased tremendously too. I am only about 400 miles away from them and the shipping to here is just crazy. Of course being a small business, I can't possibly order anywhere near the amount that those large guys can, but I would imagine that lots of companies have stopped carrying the bases because of the cost increases. I had to raise my prices recently and probably will have to again after my next order. I have tried so hard to keep them down too. I do know that they have awesome bases and I guess you get what you pay for.:smiley2:
