I think the carrot cake is perfect. Oh man I love the smell of carrot cake too. Yours makes me want to get a fork and dig in. I bet the apple cake smells wonderful too. I would suggest that arranging the apples in a more random way and kind of sticking them in the cake as opposed to laying them flat, would make them look more realistic. I also think the color of the apple slices is too yellow. They don't look like real cooked apples. That sprinkle of cinni sure gives the top of the cake a great look. I hope this is helpful. We just do like Vicky and dribble the scented cola gel over and around them, so the scent is there. The coke candles do really well for us. I wish there was a realiable source for Pepsi glasses. I guess there can be a problem with selling tradmarked glasses, but we have not had any. Soapymomma

you will get lots of bubbles too. That will make the Coke look real. I chop my clear gel up into cubes and add them to the top while the gel is still warm, so they sink a little. This looks like a bubbly soda with ice cubes on top. You may or may not want the foam on a soda like you would have on a beer candle. Soapymomma

not claim to, but one site I was looking at stated that the caffeine was absorbed through the skin and therefore did reach the blood stream and acted as a stimulant. They were wanting to claim that when it was used in a bar of soap, it worked as a "wake up" like drinking coffee does. These people were not claiming that it helped cellulite or promoted youth, just that it gave the body a little kick to get going in the morning or whenever. Do you think that is possible? I know it is a fad and most likely a bunch of bull, but do find it very interesting still. Thank you for the info. I do wonder if it could be harmful in certain cases. One site I looked at had a warning label on their soap that it should not be used by pregrant women or people with high blood pressure. I wonder if that also is part of the sales pitch? I was just wanting to talk to someone who had tried it. I saw on a computer web site that they were selling it as a "morning wake-up". One guy who used it said it did make him feel like he had consumed three cups of coffee. I think the whole idea is outragous. But, who knows? Soapymomma

I have been reading about the addition of this to soap and it seems that the caffeine is absorbed into the skin and works sort of like drinking coffee. I was given a sample bottle of anhydrous caffeine and am planning on testing it to see if it really works. Sounds like a fad or something just for fun, but then it might be a really cool thing. Anyone else done any testing or know much about this? I am going to try it in some M and P and see what happens. LOL! TIA Soapymomma

We are working on a foot care line and that sounds so nice. My hubby is my tester. He stands for many hours at his job and comes home with such aching feet. I have everything to make your foot soak except for the menthol crystals. Is there anything you can think of that I can sub for that? I really really want to try this soak and don't have patience to wait on an order for the crystals. LOL! Thanks a bunch for sharing. Soapymomma

because I live where there are lots of ranchers out here in the Oregon boonies. I package mine in mason jars too. We use the zinc lids and then tie either raffia or homespun ribbon around them. They look great and country/ cowboyish! Is that a word? Well it is now.

because that is the only way you can be sure all the scent is well mixed in. You don't want to end up with pockets of fragrance oil in your gel. Always mix your gel very well before pouring. I sure do agree with the fact that pouring hot will help pervent bubbles. Today I was making some rootbeer float gel candles and kept pouring too hot. I wanted bubbles and only got a few. LOL!

I have not seen that style before. Just beautiful. Have you thought of sprinkling a little glitter on them? I bet that would look nice too. Soapymomma

very slow to ship to me here in Oregon. They never answer my emails either. I ordered two weeks ago. I see they accepted payment, but have not heard a thing. Has anyone of you tried their hair conditioner base? I really want to try it, but they haven't even answered my emails asking questions about it. I just try to order leaving plenty of time when I use them, if possible. If I am in a hurry, I order from somewhere else. Soapymomma
