  1. What about this stuff? http://www.smellkaya.com/ You get that in yet? Did you try it yet?
  2. I used a few of them about 2 years ago to start a camp fire and they worked VERY well. The best thing is when they melt and get hot enough you get a really cool looking orange flame where the wax has turned liquid and caught on fire. Bruce
  3. Hey, those look like sh*t ! I sold them in a big 5 gallon bucket at my shows about 4 years ago. Told everyone those are the only candles i made that they can call sh*t. I made a cool sign for the bucket that had a cow on it and it was saying "My sh*t dont stink". Forget how much I got for them. I did cinnamon and pine if I remeber right. Hey... found the sign! Bruce
  4. I bet I could find one or two molds in my basement that have had wax in them for 20 years. The wax will help the mold keep its shape and most important keep dust out and the little oil content in the wax can help keep the inside of metal molds from rusting. *(unless you had water in your wax... that would be bad news) Bruce
  5. The only candle I bought from them was a pint apple pie candle about 3 or 4 years ago. Off center wick, 3/4 full, and as far as the scent goes, I would have rejected it as not strong enough. (they use green color for apple pie) They make regular WAX candles, not soy and just because they have 90+ varieties, dont let that fool you. I have 130 varieties and have thousands of candles made up and ready to sell all the time.
  6. Yep, they are here in Missouri and I have been to many shows that they were in also. They are not really "big", the owners are the ones that do the shows so its not like a Yankme or p-lite. I know Kim is VERY close to where they are if not the same town. We have talked about them before. I just think the HUGE banner in their tents (like 20 feet long) that states: Guaranteed to be "The Best Candle You Will Ever Buy"™ is a tad bit much. Bruce
  7. Duh, I guess I missed a whole page of posts here last night with all the answers! LOL Sorry! I hate it when that happens. Bruce
  8. Is that a pic of the melts or just the label you are going to use? Would be fun to see the melt too. Looks like your wrap your melts in foil and them put the label on them...?? What ever it is they look very nice. Bruce
  9. Yes it is Phil. If she took a cookie cutter or a knife and cut out ghosts or something, it would be very close. Bruce
  10. Wow, that stuff sounds strong, hope you can get by with one dpp. (drop per pound) Let us know, Bruce
  11. I have the AH version and the only word I could think of is "harsh" when I smelled it. It has some of the right smell in there, just something harsh along with it that takes away from the right smell. Didnt pour it, but it smells unbelievably strong out of the bottle. Got the botanical hemp last week from sw and it didnt give me a buzz either, it was mild. Bruce
  12. 100% true! I think all of us have a few board members that we would not buy from just because of recent posts made on this board. Your company is you and you really have to watch how you present yourself to others. This whole post was based on an opinion that several people had that Cybele was a scamer. No one knows that for sure. Im sure we have all made mistakes in business and life you just have to live and learn. If someone sends in products to a company, it might be a scam, but if they send a reply about how much they liked the products (maybe just to get more) that could spur you on to make even better products or atleast boost your ego for a while. It just seemed like you girls had way too much fun sending alll those pissy emails back and forth. That was too negative and a big turn off for me. I guess Im one of the few guys that dont care to watch a good cat fight. Remember its JMO Bruce
  13. Nice, nice and way nice! Knock em dead at the show. Ok, who else is wishing they had space in the house to do a trial set up like this! LOL ME ME! Bruce
  14. No walnut fest around here, Hannibal way. I guess the containers are like the poly carb tealights, I just had never seen them before and it kinda shocked me, but intrigued me at the same time. Bruce
  15. I filled up the tank on the truck today and saw a display of soy/para blend candles that were in plastic shot glasses with a cool little lid. The wicks looked like over kill, and they only had one scent, but you know, they really did look kinda cool. I bought one to play with and keep for ideas. They were selling for 99 cents and there were other sizes, a little salt shaker mug and one other size larger. If I can find it now (don't ask lol) I will post a picture of it later. The containers look JUST like the plastic deals you get when you buy liquid baby medicines. Bruce
  16. Thats nothing, we were on vacation way down in Texas and we saw pallets of candles there that were in about 16 oz apoth jars with the brown handle lids.. you know the kind, the ones that cost you 1.25 each or better. Well, they were filled with wax, some nasty cucumber scent which I was ok with to melt out just to get the jars right? They were at this super dollar store... it was in a old closed Walmart store... HUGE PLACE. They had these thing 2 for a dollar and I had a rental mini van with me the wife, 4 kids a dog and tons of other stuff I had bought. My brain was working overtime thinking about how to get them suckers home! I didn't buy any since if I couldnt get them all, what was the use of buying just a few. Bruce
  17. My number one seller for my 65 days at the mall last X-mas --->Lilac ! I have 2 types of it and the other one was in the top 5 also. Sold lots of strawberry too. Bruce
  18. My sales have shown me that guys dont buy mens perfume smells, women buy them. (I think to burn as bait) When a man and woman come up and they both pick out candles, the guys go for the food smells. I have a lime candle that they seem to be attracted to very much also. Guys like the silly scents also, its fun to smell root beer, bubble gum, cotton candy and junk like that, takes us back to the good old days I guess, but the smells have to be dead on. Most women dont care for the food smells that much "it makes me hungry" is what I hear from about 85% of the female customers I have. Bruce
  19. Makes me hungry for cheese! :smiley2: Bruce
  20. Just take it slow and don't let them rush you into making or selling anything you are not ready for. I myself don't like wine glass candles and rarely see anything but gel wax in the wine glasses anyway. That glass just scares me. Bruce
  21. Great looking soaps and I really like your display crates. Bruce
  22. I have a local wholesale grocery supply about 20 miles from here that I use. You could also go to your small local grocery store that has a bakery dept and have them order you some from their warehouse, trust me they can get them for you and the markup is not that much and you dont have to pay shipping if the store gets trucks in each week from the warehouse anyway. The boxes have a ton of tins depending on the sizes you want. I think the last box I got had 1000 tins in it. That will make lots of candles! Bruce
  23. I bet a hundred dollars that there are still gona be some peeps or lurkers from here that already have or will be sending sample products to her. Any takers? LOL :lipsrseal Bruce
