  1. Anyone ever order from them? If so do you happen to know if their Palm oil is no stir? Also how are all their other oils in comparison to Columbus foods?

Their palm oil is not the no stir kind. I have only found that at Columbus. I order from Jedwards about 3-4 times a year.

  2. Nice job! I can't wait til my mom gets her machine running again! She has a long arm:) and now she has me hooked on making quilts. I made two and I am working on the third. Just haven't had a lot of time to work on it lately.

  3. Do you use UV inhibitor?

Some fragrance oils can change the color of candles. Sometimes White cake candles that are left white will turn pink. Don't ask me why but sometimes they do. I haven't actually had it happen to me but a customer did.

I have had some candles turn yellow and what I figure is it is the vanilla in the oils. Maybe this could be what is happening with yours.

  4. I had a lady open a lip balm at a fair, try it and put it back. I almost hit the floor with my mouth open.. Can you believe it.

Nope - I had a lady's boyfriend almost take a bite out of a bar of soap thinking it was a piece of fudge. I bet he would have thought that it was the worst tasting fudge ever. :laugh2:

  5. It would depend on how much $$ you have to tie up in supplies and how fast you are going to use it AND how fast you can get it.

I don't play with M & P much but I usually have about 5-10 pounds here to play with when I feel like it. (Which has been about a year) But for CP supplies I always have 100 pounds of oils and usually about 150 bars of soap on hand.

Candle supplies that's a whole other story.

  6. I am so intrigued by this. My sister bought me a Crazy Mountain candle warmer about 5 years ago, I think. At that time, Crazy Mountain was in Imlay City, MI. They closed before I started in this addiction/business. I am curious how they have Crazy Mountain products; my little tin star bowl is still my favorite charger, and it came from them. I hope they are the same supplier under a new name, new town. They had awesome quality products. I will be googling a map to their store after this wicked storm we have predicted. Can't wait to get to Owosso to see! Thanks for posting this.

The bank closed crazy mountain from what I understand. They must have had a loan or something and maybe the bank auctioned off some of their stock. I can't remember the exact details but I read it in the paper a few years ago.

  7. And the nice part is...if it's just not quite right it doesn't matter. When making clothing it has to be right or it doesn't fit or look right. I remember sewing all of the clothes back in 1979 when we took our kids to Disney World. It was winter here and really hot there so I wanted some new summer stuff. I used to NOT try the clothes on till I was done and actually going to wear them. BIG mistake! I made a 3 piece outfit...pants, top and jacket. OMG...the sleeves in the jacket were too long but at least I could roll them up. But the darts in the front were not even...couldn't do anything about that though.

I like sewing stuffed "dolls" and crafty type things more than clothes. But..I did get better at it and forced myself to try on as I'm making them. I also now spend the time ripping something out and sewing it again rather than thinking...oh this won't matter. lol

I made a bunch of flannel pajama pants for my daughter a few years ago. And I made her some play shorts.

I made a bunch of doll elves about five years ago. They were so cute but when I took them to a craft show NO body even took a look at them.

  8. Now if I could just decide on a color scheme for my new bedroom set...guess I know I need to order my quilt and then choose sheets! Can you rock one out in a King size, or is that not possible on the long arm?

Yup. The rust one I made was a king size. That one went on the long arm today. And I am working on a full size blue one..
