  1. OMG that's beautiful Kristy!

Hope you don't mind my asking but did you just sprinkle the glitter on top or was it mixed in the batter?

Oh no i don't mind! I sprinkled it high above the soap afterwards and had to rub it between my fingers as I did it or it would fall in clumps.

  2. My logo is a butterfly....I LOVE BUTTERFLIES! That soap is just amazing. How in the world did you do that? I could never reproduce something so beautiful but would love to hear how you made these little beauties!

Lol! I made a thin layer of soap to swirl with in the bottom of this mold. I unmolded the next day and let this thin layer cure for a couple weeks. Then I cut out the butterflies with cookie cutters. They come out of the cookie cutters alot easier if the soap is cured a little bit. I took these and laid them into a thin layer of soap on top of a layer already set. HTH!

  3. Soapfreak,

Love the way your tarts look, gives them some pizzaz!

Did you just put a drop or two of dye directly in each mold or did you swirl in the pour pot? I made some M&P last year for a customer that wanted "M&P" soaps for Christmas gifts and they turned out really cool looking by just putting a couple drops directly in the individual molds.

Actually I made my wax come to a slushy stage and put about 3 drops of color per 8 oz. of wax and slightly stirred with a stick. I didn't completely mix it in. Then I glopped it in the molds just pulling different parts of the wax out of the container and throwing it in each tart and alternating between each tart. I let them cool slightly then pressed into the tart with my hand. I then finished them off by using my heat gun on the bottom for just a second and then setting them down and heating around the outsides and smoothed out the tops last.
