Oh I love that! I think I found my new red for my candy cane. I have that one in my color bin. Beautiful soap!

Kathy, are you talking about the one called Ralph Lauren Blue?
If so, you can find it at Sweetcakes and Southern Garden Scents.

Hi Carrie, this is the closet I have come up with. Any variation shouldn't make too much of a difference.
I included the preservative and the fragrance as part of the 100%.
15% VCO
8.5% Kokum
4% Shea
9.5% E-Wax
60% distilled water
1% preservative
2% fragrance
Black Crow, this is what you can use as a starting point. If you want to start with only 8 oz., do the percentages of the 8 oz.
You can't use rosemary extract for this. It won't keep the germies away. Any lotion containing water has to have a proper preservative. I could probably send you a little to do a small batch.
Also with this recipe you won't need any cornstarch but if you want, you could add about a tsp. to an 8 oz. batch at the end of whipping.

I want to thank Soapfreak for so generously sharing this recipe..
I finally got the nerve to try something besides, Candles, & Soap..
I gave this a try tonight. OOOhhh my..I love it..
I didn't have Kokum Butter so I used 4.5 oz of shea, and 2 oz of Cocoa butter..I didn't have virgin coconut oil so I subbed Apricot KernelI & added Creme Brulee Fo..
Have you ever tried at Nordstroms, the Laura Mercier cream in Creme Brulee?..for 8 oz. it is around $50. and I think this feels alot like it..because I have a small sample they gave me, so I was able to compair..
So again..Thanks Soapfreak..
Oh I'm so glad you liked it. You should try it with kokum & virgin coconut next time. So dreamy!

Here is her response:
P.S. I still don't care for the solid 'perfume'. It smells like nothing but shea butter. I was hoping for some suggestion of Sandalwood and/or Amber.
Unbelieveable! For all you know this woman never had a child take a bite in the first place. These are people that are out to prey on up standing citizens trying to make a honest living and bilk you for everything you have.
All they are out for is more free stuff or money. Gee and it sounds like the P.S. comment was to get more free stuff. I bet she is in the shower right now lathering up with that free sample bar with a big smile on her face saying oh this smells so good!

Here is the cut pic. It's pretty bright.

I saw this knife in a display case today where I sell my soaps and boom I said to my dh, "OOo, that is so cool, I'm going to make a soap those colors!". I don't know if you can see the silver but it is a little dark. I think I will use lighter silver next time. It got a little muddy looking on the edge too. These are for Etsy again. I feel like when I make soaps for Etsy, I get to play.

Oh so pretty Grumpy! How do you get the soap to look like frosting like that? Is it whipped soap?
-
Did you use TD to keep it from going brown? I think it's good looking soap. As for a name ... hmmm looks like a party in a bar with the confetti and pink balls as balloons.
I did use td but I don't think this one turns brown. I checked the srb first before soaping. Thanks!

I know I don't post here alot but hope it's ok to post pics.
I'm not to happy with the top color, I wanted it more to be neon purple but turned pink on me. [removed self promo text]
Not sure what to call it yet. I also wish I could take better photos.

The Grandma's cupboard and cinna-nilla are 2 of my favs. I love the CC pie and orange chiffon together. I'm burning a caramel pecan tart right now. Yum! If you want something that smells exactly like a blueberry muffin, mix KY blueberry burst and BNL Granny's Pie Crust at BCN. OMG! My dh thought I was really baking muffins. LOL!

Those are so cool!!!!
-
That looks so cool! I love it and the colors are perfect!
-
Is that one of those enormous 6 x 6 pillars? Very cool!
Why yes it is!
-
I love that candle. The colors are great. Any chance of getting a hint to the wick size?
I was told that 3- LX12 would work the best but I'm going to test it tomorrow night to see how it does.

Beautiful soap!! Is this an EO blend or an FO?
It is an eo blend. Yum!
-
Wellll...... I made it french creme. I love that scent and this color matched my living room.
-
Not the color I wanted. I don't what I was thinking. I got it a little darker than I wanted. I decided to do the chunks so I wouldn't have to poke holes. I wish it would have been a little smoother on the sides. I went gung ho and did a huge candle. I love the big pillars. My friend BarbaraAL helped me figure out the wick size I needed. Thank you Barbara!

How about this, ladies?
I'm so sorry, I deleted the other photo in photobucket. I never thought about it.

Here is a cut pic. Smells wonderful!
-
Oh those are fantastic!

I'm a little unsteady with the lines. It's smells better than I thought it would though. Yummy blend! I won't be cutting this for a couple days because my blade on the zig zag cutter bends when the soap is soft.

I put a warning to not use near cuts or open wounds. I also put on the front, "*Good for acne and body odor" With the asterisk, on the back as the reference I put that "*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food & Drug Adm. blah, blah, blah......
I don't find them to be exfoliating at all. After the first use, it's as smooth as a polished stone.
