I have one of the hand sealer things to go with my shrinkwrap & heat gun.

I insert the tart in the shrink wrap tube, seal it with the hand sealer then shrink it with the heatgun.

Practice makes perfect. HTH

You seal both ends correct? That's what I do with the food saver and then when I hit it with the heat gun it blows up like a balloon. Is there suppose to be a hole to release the air? I thought the whole idea was to keep it sealed.

Do you have a problem getting air inside the bag after sealing while you are shrink wrapping with the heat gun? I bought the 3" tubing and sealed one end, dropped in my tart and sealed it again. As I was hitting it with the heat gun, it was blowing up like a balloon then got a tiny hole in it then it released. I also can't get it shrunk without it melting a little on the edges. Is there any hints someone can share?

I ordered a 1 lb. bottle of Wild Watermelon for a swap deadline. I ordered on May 3rd. and thought I would get it in plenty of time. This was my first time ordering from them. 12 days went by and still nothing. I'm freaking out thinking how am I going to get this swap item out in time because the soap has to cure at least 3 weeks. I called them and it was busy or the voicemail said it was full and wouldn't even take my message! So I emailed them one last time and asked if they could tell me when this will ship out because I have a deadline to meet and that I figured I had plenty of time to order and get it. Well wouldn't you know the next day I received an email notification that my order has been shipped. I finally received it on the 19th. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

I need some really quick for a swap and need to know if they discolor or seize in soap. Any opinions?

I think DS is suppose to be carrying one called Mandarin Bamboo which is suppose to like bamboo sugarcane.

I add witch hazel as part of my water and I also use baby carrots and sour buttermilk, great for the skin. I also add virgin red palm oil, very high in beta carotene.

I used this in soap and it didn't. I would think it would not in lotion.

I think you would like SW Ultraviolet, very different.

You could try candelilla wax instead.

I have found them to be closer to the end of the year because they want to clear out inventory. HTH! So make your list and make sure you are signed up for their newsletter.

I scented this one with RA or Trilogy Floral Musk. This didn't turn out quite like I hoped because I had the mold turned the wrong way for the arrangement of flowers. I used cookie cutters for these like I did the butterflies. They were alot trickier because the petals were so close together and they wanted to break. Some of the dots fell off when I turned the soap upside down to cut. Ugh! Then the top ashed on me even though there isn't any fragrance in the top layer. Those are beautiful. Glad to see how this soaps, I have this fragrance. I don't understand how you and some others get your swirls all in the same direction, they are all horizontal across the bar. Love your creativity.

Oh thank you! Actually I think those horizontal lines are from it starting to seize up and thicken very fast. Hence the pounding on the counter.....
