    Is that 70% of the total recipe or of the percentage of the wax? Oh believe me I can't wait to get my candellia so I can experiment!

    I was going to try the candellia and soy together but heard the soy makes it grainy. I use 27% beeswax. Do you think 10% candellia and 17% soy would be good? Does it work the same as shea to heat longer at a lower temp. to help with graininess?

    Does anyone have tips on how to keep lip balms from becoming grainy from soy wax? I don't add shea in mine.

    The nice thing about putting it through the salad shooter is you don't have to wait for it to melt very long.

    I love it because it makes it silky feeling. I don't think it will work for coloring though because it is white. You would have to add too much clay to get your soap white.

    OMG, we flew into Zurich but traveled to Fussen and that was the highlight of our trip! We stayed at a "Zimmer Fri?" Bed & breakfast close to the castle and could see it lit up at night from our room balcony. We remember eating a pizza from downtown Fussen that was made by a little Italian girl throwing the dough up in the air. We also remember the fountain in town that had big marble balls that twirled from the water on top of pillars. We want to go back so bad! Oh we ate at that restaurant between the castles and had the best apple streudel and vanilla ice cream we ever ate!

    It doesn't discolor your skin but it does make your washcloth messy I think. Best not to use a white one.

    Patchouli Lime or Patchouli Orange are great! What part of Germany are you from? Whe have been to Fussen to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, it was awesome!

    Oh no, don't forget that lye is used for draino so it won't hurt your pipes. I use pyrex glass to dissolve my lye in. That way I don't worry if I don't get it cleaned right away.

    Any leftover "globs" of soap you want to scrape out and dispose of in the trash. Wipe the insides of your containers with the soap with paper towels to get most of the excess out. Put your lye container in the sink and fill with warm and let overflow. I fill up my soapy containers with very hot water and let overflow in the sink also. Then fill up your sink with hot very soapy water and wash like normal.
