  1. Some people have, but I don't. Seems like there's a micro wax you can add to up the melt point, but I don't remember what it's called. If you were to strictly use tealites in them, maybe a piece of cork in hte bottom and keep well ventilated, it might work okay. The problem is whether or not your customers will follow instructions :(

  2. Any of the above ;)

If you choose to mix directly in the presto, you can go straight to mold. If you want to keep it clean, you can keep your melted wax in it and transfer to separate pour pots for mixing the different colors and scents. You can also use the presto for a double boiler and keep your pour pots inside it, though I don't think too many people do that. It's really up to what's easiest for you :)

  3. Thankfully you're not hurt!

I have had this happen in a presto pot before too. But then I helped it by poking a hole :( The pot was full and wax was hard. I turned it on about 190. The bottom melts ALOT faster than the top or sides. I decided to poke holes in the wax. Never thought about the heated wax underneath needing to expand UNTIL I poked the first hole and ol Faithful blew! Luckily not too much had melted under there yet, so the mess wasn't too big...lol.

  4. Not to nitpick, but the mushroom is there before you blow it out, even it you don't see it. Other wicks do it sometimes too, but mainly the zincs. Was this votive the exact same formula as the others(type of wax, wick, amount of FO, same scent, etc)? Dit you test burn it differently? There are alot of variables. I may be wrong, but as I understand it, the less complete the combustion, the larger the mushroom. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in here ;)
