  1. Ive never heard of a votive called a tea light.. but I guess its different everywhere
  2. Tealights to me are those little ones in the metal or plastic containers that only burn a few hours, Votives are small candles.. I think someone got their candles mixed up at Joannes lol
  3. I dont use comfort blend.. but I let mine sit anywhere from 3 days to a week depending..
  4. ROFL talk about versatility! Now that I think about it.. i do have some extras in the closet and a bunch of scrap wax lmao.. ok I probably really wouldnt use them but hey its creative..
  5. Burned my first container candle from 225 today after letting it sit for 3 days.. so far scent throw is very good.. a little better than the 223 but not by much. So far I think this is the wax Im sticking with..we havent had any sinks at all and no repours, just a smooth even finish and little to no wet spots at all. I love the way the colors have come out. I'll know more as it burns throughout the day about wax pool etc.. :smiley2:
  6. Im just started using J225, I love it! There are very minimal wet spots, some jars Ive done have none at all.. cold throw is awesome. Will let you know how it goes with hot. Its a fairly new wax thats out according to the place I get it from.. its always out of stock but I got ahold of some 3 days ago. Going to light my first from that batch tomorrow.. Will let you know how it goes..
  7. Thanks! thought it was something like that but wasnt sure..
  8. Since I asked this in another thread and didnt get an answer I thought I would ask here since its about wickless.. just what is a wickless candle?? HelP! LOL
  9. Sorry to hear your frustrated! Just curious though, how does the candle work if theres no wick? Is it like the warmer ones you see where just the wax melts and gives off fragrance? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question:undecided !
  10. <~~~ me learning to embrace the wet spots LOL Thanks again for the heads up and the welcome, I am going to try a new wax this week and see how I like it.. so far I find the zinc core wicks seem to be my wick of choice but Im gonna try a few others..
  11. Ok thats good to know.. at least I wont beat my head against the wall over them lol I noticed it didnt affect the throw hot or cold but I was worried about the look, if people dont seem to mind them then I will learn to live with them, Thanks for the welcome
  12. Im new here, Ive been lurking for a few days though and I love all the posts and how helpful you all are. Ive only been making candles for 3 to 4 months so Im new to it all, Im using 223 for containers and ended up with some wet spots eventhough I heated the jars in the oven on warm before pouring. (Votives were easy to tackle and I quickly got the hang of wicking them and doing both pours containers are are another story..lol ) Anyone have any tips on getting jars without wet spots or how to minimize them? Id like to eventually sell them but I wont until I can get something I myself would want to buy. So heres to many more tests and maybe a couple different waxes to try, wicks etc.
