  1. thanks candle man i always wonder that that sealer does. I have not started using shrink wrapping yet but i want to do my tarts like that. Thanks
  2. Aren't you afraid that someone might steal your name? What should you do once you find a name you like?
  3. I have looked at my state website (AZ) and i found the info for a biz license but not any info on how to apply for tax id?? Help! What am i missing? http://www.tucsonaz.gov/index.php
  4. When i start my website i am going with DIY. I can't wait. It looks very easy and have heard a lot of good things about them. I would make sure to read all the instructions first. i do not think it is as easy as drop and click but i think it looks better.
  5. You look VERY organized. I can not believe you have spent that much on Yankee! I like the tarts. Yeah the votive looks a little misshappen. Smaller tag. But i looks like a great start.
  6. Yup that is what i do. But VB that i use it is so brittle. i have added cb (containter blend)to my tarts and they are much smoother and i did not get that ring in the middle. When i used the paraffin to make chunks i would pour it in a cookie sheet and when it set up enough to cut through it i scored it to make little squares and when it was completely done you just pop it out and break up the pieces. it is very easy. I have made some chunk tarts with the ecosoya vb and they came out pretty good. they smeared a lot though. I wonder what will happen if i make the chunks out of paraffin and poured the ecosoya vb over it....hmmm....i will let you know.
  7. oh, i just thought maybe that would make it less attractive with solo on the bottom. but i guess since everyone else has that to it won't matter much. They are just going to melt it anyways huh. I just like that you can pour into them and the cute little lids and all. i like bizzy's b chunks.
  8. i can see why. Can you imagine taking phone call after phone call of issues that can be resolved if you just take the time to read the help pages. (as for emailing her back i guess it is first come first serve?) I have heard nothing but good things and plan to use DIY when i start my webpages. It just sounds like you are very frustrated and rightfully so, but take it out on the right people/business and it sounds like Yahoo's fault. I have seen a few threads where people slam a business because of one incident. (it is funny how that person/business always finds out and post a reply ). that is just my humble honest opinion. I hope you can get your domain name back Amanda
  9. I like those little cups that are supposed to be used as condiment cups. I know that Sams sells them for 2500 for $25 (lids not included) but are there any that don't say SOLO on the bottom?
  10. i would like to know as well. I think it looks better when they are indivually wrapped nice and tight. It might take more time but they look neater to me.
  11. I was on the website www.ngiwax.com. and they had all this great info on ecosoya wax and i noticed they did not have the info for the VB. I email them asking if they were discontinued and this was their reply. Hi Amanda, Thank you for your interest in EcoSoya. VB has been discontinued in small quantities. It is however available special order with a minimum order of 60,000 pounds. Take Care, Dan Cap NGI NATURE'S GIFTS, INC. 114 Jill Lane, Streamwood, IL 60107 630-372-2137 Ext. 204 www.ngiwax.com I am making it work by adding CB but i am not happy with this very brittle and hard to work with wax. 60000 lbs! i do not think so. Peak continues to sell it. Maybe i should forward to them.
  12. ARIZONIANS!!! I thought i was the only one. I started making candles in the summer and i only have a swamp cooler. I don't know what h*** i was thinking. But yea monsoon season is over!! I am on to making tarts now and i love them!! too bad you took the tart addict name because that is what i am!! I just got 50 lbs of the ecosoya vb and it sucks but i have 50 lbs of it so i am going to have to make due. I tried making chunks and the wax is so brittle. i think i will try mixing it with some paraffin or something. i wonder how will act in the chunk molds.
  13. you have given me hope!! i just got the ecosoya vb and i love tarts. but i couldn't make the chunks because of how brittle it is. I will try what you suggested. I also use 2 oz per lbs of wax (1 oz per 8 oz) It is strong but i guess that will get expensive huh? what do you use now?
  14. I have searched for ecosoya VB from peak and it seems you either love it or hate it. It seems very brittle to me. I am making tarts and chunk tarts (it is not easy to make the chunks with this wax) Any one else using this for tarts and having this problem?
  15. I have seen them on www.flexiblemolds.com under "everything else" But isn't it more fun to make them your self?
  16. what is the difference between vendor license and business license? And which do i need? and where do i get?
  17. Where do you find these places at? i have looked at craftlister.com and just searching online and they are a few really big ones that i do not want to start at. There is a small one where a local health food store puts on but it is hit and miss and depends on how many people sign up if they are going to even have it or not. Where do i find a craft mall?
  18. Levine will accept EIN numbers. WHOLESALE ONLY This is a wholesale web site and store. We have a minimum quantity of 2 per item and $100 per order. We also require new customers to fax resale information (business license, EIN, tax ID and/or sales tax license) to 1-800-538-4638 before we will fill your order.
  19. Does anyone sell only the tart, wax potporri, melts, wickless candles? How is business?
  20. o.k. i have a dumb questions and please don't yell at me. I have figured it takes about $2 give or take some to make a 8 oz jelly jar wickless candle. i have seen them sell for at least $6.50. (some places way more) So how do you NOT make money. Is it all the money you need upfront...label, warning label, ink, wesites, logos, labor, that eats profit...etc... i guess also that you need people to buy your products too huh?
  21. Really? that is a bummer it looks like a great idea. What about the combos that levine gifts offers. you know with the removable plate on top for tarts or the bottom for 8 oz container? any one ever try those?
  22. I am just new here to but IMHO i think $5 for 4 tarts is a lot. Also i just dont like the country looking website. i think they all look the same. Maybe try getting new graphic to change the look and maybe look at your prices again. Just a suggestion.:undecided
