  1. www.candlesupplys.us sells one that is a Room & Linen Spray, but the extra great thing about theirs: it is also skin safe! Most of the Room or Linen Spray bases out there are not skin safe & you really have to be careful not to get it on you. It also mixes like a dream & the price is not bad either!
  2. Apple Pie or McIntosh Apple ............you know: an apple for the teacher
  3. I just got samples of both KY bases as well. Loved the whip. As for the glaze: it was very nice, but more of a gel-like base IMHO.
  4. I guess I knew the answer to that one already! I guess that's why I decline to make the smaller ones. Oh well. Thanks anyhow
  5. I have bought finished products, from etailers, who made body roll ons in 1/3 oz roller bottles. They are made with cyclo & FO & when the bottle is sitting on the shelf, I can see that with certain FO's it doesn't stay mixed & I can see the actual separation & it looks like there is ALOT MORE THAN 8 drops of FO in there. Does anyone have a sure fire "formula". I've given up on trying to make individual bottles of scent & have only been making 8 oz sizes & pouring them into bottles. I have had requests for individual bottles of one scent at a time, sometimes a few different ones at a time & I have had to decline & only offer the ones I've made bigger batches of. I would love to have a formula to do just one at a time.
  6. You can mix chocolate with: Raspberry & you can call it something like Decadent Raspberry Truffle. Strawberry & it can be like a Godiva Chocolate covered Strawberries dupe. Chocolate combined with a Rose scent. It is surprisingly very nice! Buttercream Frosting & you can turn it into Chocolate Frosting or Cupcake, but maybe this combo wouldn't be "upscale". Black cherry & you've got chocolate covered cherries....also might not be "upscale enough"
  7. WSP's actually smells like marshmallow I tried KY's, but me, and my main tester both thought it had a faint lemony/floral note to it.
  8. check out: http://elementsbathandbody.com/ and www.bayousome.com and www.aromahaven.com not sure of any prices, but I've ordered from all of them in the past & have been satisfied.
  9. They have GREAT oils!!!! Never got a bad one yet! and they carry the old SNC oils too!
  10. No Buttercream Frosting! You don't know what you are missing!
  11. I find that cyclo IS greasy........until you rub it in & it starts soaking into your skin & it Does feel kind of thick. I find that the Luxury Mist Body Spray from WSP is nice and light, not sticky at all, much cheaper, but, does NOT hold the scent as well & as long as cyclo does.
  12. Have you ever surprised yourself & come up with some great blends? I mixed up two this week that really wow'd me. First I mixed Pink Sugar(ICS) with Just Scent's new "Whipped Vanilla Cream" & it is too good! I made it into a body spray. I'm loving this! Then, in wax, I mixed 1/2 a "Hansel & Gretels House" tart & 1/2 a "Vanilla Bean Noel" tart & burned them together & my house smells so good! Anyone else come up with great mixes lately?
  13. I use Daystar's Vanilla Bean Noel to mix with
  14. I think that ICS has the closest Pink Sugar dupe to the real thing, out there
  15. and I still have tarts from about 1 1/2 years ago & they are still good
  16. It is Cyclomethicone. You can actually do a search here & find some old threads about it. You can buy it at many places: Aromahaven.com bittercreek.com the scent works, mmm, Wsp, etc.... Here is some info on it from one of the sites: Cyclomethicone Cyclomethicone is a versatile, clear liquid. It has no odor and can be used to blend with FO's and EO's with no clouding or separation. The versatility includes lotions, creams, deodorants, antiperspirants, hair conditioners, make up, nail polish, hair sprays, body mists, bath salts and more! This product will produce a luxurious body spray that feels dry. It has a silky smooth feel and is dry rather than greasy. For making clear sprays, pour Cyclomethicone in bottle and add fragrance oil. Use in ratios of fragrance oil to Cyclomethicone from 1:3, to 1:6, or greater. (Use in HDPE, PET, or glass bottles. PVC is not recommended because FO will degrade and break down the PVC over time.) This product is AMAZING and we're betting you and your customers fall in love with it. It transforms ordinary products into luxurious indulgences! INCI: Cyclomethicone Uses: Dry Oil Body Spray: Mix with EO or FO in ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 or greater. *Be sure to use a body safe FO. Also, depending upon strength of FO/EO, concentrations may be much higher than 1:6 as your perfume may be *way* too strong. (concentrations = FO:Cyclomethicone). If desired, first experiment with drops of FO/EO to test strength. Dry Oil Perfume base: Mix as above and package in aroll on bottle! After Bath Oil/Shower Body Oil: Mix with your favorite oil blend in concentrations up to 50/50 and add FO or EO to desired strength. Spray on skin after getting out of bath or shower, and then towel dry. Leaves skin silky & velvety without being greasy. Room Sprays, Linen Sprays: No more wet linens! Please test on any linens to make sure the FO/EO doesn't stain. Lotions: Add to lotions, body butters, lotion bars, and creams to impart a decadent silky, soft velvety feeling! Add up to 1% to pre-made lotion base or 5%-20% to lotion made from scratch. Bath Salts, Bath Oils, and Scrubs: Add to bath oils or use instead of glycerin to add sheen to your bath salts and a silky feel to the bath water. Hair Care: Spray on wet hair for detangling or spray on dry hair to manage "frizz". Spraying on dry hair adds extra shine too! Add to hair conditioners to give it detangling properties and a silky feel.
  17. when is she getting back again? We'll have to "bump" ALL of these topics about her, on the day she gets back!!!!!! Ok, who's gonna do it?
  18. remember, they are closing for about a week and, she did say that there will be some sort of special when she gets back, whether or not it is some new oils, or a sale or ?
  19. and does Flickers only do Pick Up or do they ship. I tried an order & when I got to the shopping cart shipping part, it only allows "pick up"
  20. yet ANOTHER reason for a "sampler pack" Sale or Special!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
  21. My top 4 are: Daystar www.daystarsupplies.com (top quality oils) Indiana Candle Supply www.candlesupplys.us (great oils, great prices & service, have Never been dissappointed with any oil from them) Aroma Haven www.aromahaven.com (awesome oils, they also carry all the old SoapNCandles oils, which are SO good. But they rarely run sales though) Just Scent ( I LOVE them for Bath and Body products(they get mixed reviews in wax) & they run a new sale starting EVERY Saturday!!) www.justscent.com Some others, off the top of my head that I've ordered from & that others seem to frequent are: www.wholesalesupplies.com & www.millcreek.com & www.thecandlesource.com & www.naturesgardencandles.com & www.fragranceoilheaven.com I order alot from the above co's. The next few co's have top quality oils & are slightly more expensive & I only use a few oils from each of them, but they are considered top notch: www.scent-works.com www.sweetcakes.com www.soapsillywholesalesupplies.com www.oldmillfragrances.com Hope I didn't give you too many!!!!!
  22. and here we go again: yet ANOTHER reason why a "sampler pack SALE/SPECIAL" is such a great idea!!! We need to try everything!!!!!I'm not giving up!!!! It does say we are in for some sort of special when they re-open.........is it so bad if we hint around to the kind of special we want? What..........no Buttercream Frosting on your daystar list? You'll be sorry if you miss this one!
  23. I like their oils very much, but only do bath and body products.
  24. London Lemon Curd from Scent Works. I also happen to like Just Scent's Lemon Sugar
  25. Daystar's Buttercream Frosting smells out of this world. It is like a buttercream vanilla rather than a cakey smell. Their Vanilla Bean Noel is also amazing.
