  1. THere are some labs/businesses you can check out. I'd give you a list, but can't find where I put the info. I'd think it would be cheaper to go that route, but at the same time ... I would like the security of knowing it wasn't shipped to China for a shot of lead type of thing ... meaning you know exactly what's going in and not worrying that the company you hired to package has an undercover terrorist (now call me paranoid lol.)

LMAO!! Well ...... you also have to consider that you are trusting your formula and methology with them. Yes they have confidentiality agreements and such but ...you just never know. And if you are buying it in major bulk and freighting it in...is it really cheaper?? I really have no clue and don't know anyone who out sources?

  2. What about out sourcing it first to see how the product takes off and once you know that factor you can decide whether it's worth buying & putting the equipment in your facility. Would you rent a building or purchase a building? Either way, that is alot of cash outlay especially in these financially troubled times.

I don't think you would even be talking about putting that kind of dollors out there if the product hadn't already proven itself and you weren't trying to meet a huge demand.

  3. I really would have all the work outsourced. I saved an article I found in Happi about this but can't remember right now where it is.

That would definately be cheaper then putting in all the huge equipment it would require. I wonder if shipping would kill ya on shipping that kind of quantity? And end up driving your prices up too high?

  4. that you have created this very unique product and it has gone wild (let's pretend nationally) and you of course have all your ducks in a row.....trademarks are registered, challenge testing is complete.....and you are going to set up a manufacturing facility to produce in huge quantities (lotion) what equipment would you for sure buy to be able to produce in let's say 10-25 (probably even more then that) gallons of each scent at a time. This would include making the lotion and filling the bottles and labeling the bottles?? What equipment would you think is a must have??

  5. Outdoor, woodsy, hooah is the perfect fit if the women could stand the pine tone to it lol

Carpe Diem comes to mine as ultra fresh and unisex and just gets better as the day goes on.

For that matter, you might look at Midnight in the Garden and add a touch of hooah lol.

Or you could just go with that Frank, Myrrh & Gold and anyone who doesn't have an O after sniffing it is off their rocker ha ha.

    Blackberry Apple maybe?

    What about Apples 'n Oak?

Well one way to look at that is their guests would always be happy! LOL I use to have a sample of the Lavender, Apples & Oak but it grew legs and walked somewhere...but I think I remember that one was pretty nice too?

  6. I have a very upscale resort that uses all my products in their lodges and cabins. They want to put in a shower gel and they wanted it scented in some fabulous scent that would be for men and women both. They want it in 32oz pump bottles. They also want foamer bottles done in the same scent for all the kitchen sinks. The bar soap is at all the bathroom sinks and they have a special exclusive scent that all the bar soap and lotions are done in but it is more feminine. BUT the shower gel and foamer soaps they want done in unisex. Sooooooo my question is.....if you were making this decision what fragrance would you look at for the shower gel and foamers?? Thanks for any and all help!

  7. I got my FO's today and an I just say OMG!!! Not once but 3 times...OMG OMG OMG!!!

My 3 new ones are Frank, Myhrr & Gold, Acorns & Black Oak, Tassi Lavender (OMG) They all smell awesome OOB!!! I am loving the Tassi Lavender....such a soft pretty lavender...not harsh at all! Acorns & Black Oak...WOW!! Very very NICE!! And Frank....I am really liking that one alot also! Prelude to Love is very pretty...like that one OOB also. I am so happy with every single one of them! Can't wait to soap them!

  8. Weird isn't it? On the Of A Woman, you can see how the sides go \_/ (not that drastically, but it's crooked a little.

Yea that is weird and quiet honestly would piss me off to no end....and my OCD would not allow that at all....LOL I think I would be contacting Mr TOG...right quick too! LOL For what you paid for that mold...it should be perfecto!

  9. Silvermoon is the silicone right? If so, I couldn't give them the right measurement on the mold, because all three logs are different sizes with the middle one curving in. Weirdness, but I'm not getting square bars from it.

You aren't getting square bars with the TOG? Silvermoon has some standard size log molds that are like 20L x 3.25W x 2.75 high that make the same size bar as my TOG. I ordered custom ones from them that are 17L x 13w x 2.75 high that I split down into 4 logs with my log splitter. They are quoting me a double log right now that I will split into 2 logs and I am ordering the single log at the same time as I order the double.

ETA....I only pour 2.5 high so have a 1/4" leftover extra space on the top

  10. Your soap is gorgeous!! I have had issues on occasion with the triple TOG mold leaking also.....and try to pour at a thicker trace so I don't have to deal with it. I did make 3 logs in it yesterday with no problems....but next time I use it...who knows...could leak again! Anyway that is why I went with Silvermoon molds because I don't want a mold dictating to me at what thickness I can pour...LOL
