Thanks for the sale message! Just had to place an order. Couldn't find cranberry crumble, but got lots of other great sounding ones including cowboy blues. Hey, I'm from Idaho. I have a pom-poo dog that would never let me dress her. She is the reigning queen and we are her loyal subjects. LOL. Thanks again...makes sampling affordable! Beth
Cranberry Crumble is under their Primitive Scents. It took me a while to figure it out.

oh dear, same with me! In fact I'm a retailer for scented candles (and in near future of my own candles!!) and quilting stuff - but guess what? I bought this fantastic machine two years ago and never did any sewing with it, because I don't have any time with this damned shop:angry2:.
Anyway, I won't walk the road to ruin alone:laugh2:and let you know about any sale I know of!
Have a nice time,
Inez
Thanks! That is all I need someone else enabling me!

julwid,
they do have other scents than BCN and only a few of BCN in their lines. :wave:Inez
Thanks! That is all I need someone else enabling me!

Thanks Inez for letting us know about this sale! I usually buy from BCN but I do want to try and get some "food" and holiday type scents so this is a great way for me to try some! Now to just try and eliminate some! I have 47 in my basket! Yikes!! LOL Thats not counting more wax that I need and some I want to try!! Lord help me, this surely is the most expensive "hobby" with business intentions I have ever done! And here I thought spending 2k for a sewing machine was crazy!! This tops it!! LOL
But, since you twisted my arm to order some new scents, guess Ill have to! LOL
God Bless,
Lynn
I know exactly how you feel Lynn. I also have one of those sewing/embroidery machines! I am into the sewing/embroidery and candles for a hobby....and I agree an expensive one at that!
-
I am new here too. Maybe one pf the more experienced one's will chime in! I have not invested in a heat gun I am using a hair dryer! I use Ecosoya CB135 but most of the time I do not have a problem with smooth tops.
-
Thanks for the info! Just placed an order! I almost ordered last night...glad I waited!
-
I think 1 inch apart.
-
I actually bought a couple of the 8oz sq. mason jars last winter...long befroe I even new what a good candle was! LOL! The only one that I really like was the strawberry..it was good and strong. None of the others were anything to brag about.
-
I know this is an old thread, but I have been trying to wick the 8oz sq. mason and it is giving me a fit! I was at Candle Science today and they told me to doublewick it diagonally corner to corner. We will see what happens. When I was trying to single wick it would either smoke, large flame, huge mushrooms or the flame would dance around like crazy! This one is a booger! BTW I use ecosoya CB135.
-
I know that I have experenced something similar. Where you put a candle in a room can affect scent throw. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe that is what happned to you.

I received my order today! Fast service! I was hoping I would get them today so I could pour a few. We are leaving for the beach tomorrow and Wanted them to cure while we are gone! Nana's apple butter is one that I poured at 1.5pp and man it is strong cold! I may have to go down on that one!
-
OK. I am using a wick testing method I read about here where you pour the jars wickless then insert your wick. If it does not work just yank it out and put another one in! It is great!
I am testing the paper cored wicks today. So far so good! I am waiting on some cotton cores also. I think I am a cored wick kinda girl!
I like the Hemp but I do not think they get hot enough..and of course
there is the fragrance mushroom they create!
:laugh2:
I poured 4 JS scents today and will test those next week. Nana's Apple Butter is strong Cold, Caramel Apple, Cinnamon Cider and Vanilla Butter Crunch. I used 1.5ozpp. I can probably go down on The Apple butter! Will update later!

they are probely using gb 444 like mc sales and has a fo load of 2oz.
by old industry standards 1/2 oz of oil was used and now if you use 1.5oz you can say it's triple scented, so 2oz would be 4 times.
i've smelled alot of supposed triple scented candles and if the truth be known they probely have not even used 1/2oz of oil.
My point exactly. I think it is so deceiving what these companies are doing!:undecided
-
OK..I am going to go to at least 1.25ozpp. I like a fairly strong candle. I do not want it to run me out of the house...but strong!
-
I have read several threads about this. I was browsing through several candle sites today that I have bookmarked. On the Homepage of one in LARGE letters was this:
We use 4 times the fragrance of industry standards.
That must be one strong soy candle! I am assuming they are saying that they use 2ozpp!
-
I have heard nothing but good things about Millcreek, and dont forget Peaks. (skip the mango and cappochino) LOL
Yea I know it is a stretch...but just an overall experience no specifics.
-
I have read alot of threads about what % of Fo to use..and I know it varies from supplier to supplier. Here are a few questions I have..I am using the cb135 soy wax:
1. The FO sticky that lists FO's that throw in soy...are these at 1ozpp?
2. What is your experience w/ Just Scents? 1oz.pp?
3. I am also considering ordering from Millcreek. 1ozpp
I know these can all vary...but just wanted to get an overall analysis...:undecided

That when the wax dries can get the hair off my back!!!
LOL:laugh2:

There are 16 oz candles that can scent a 10x10 and then there are those that can scent 3 rooms or more. There is the 5 ounce that is suppose to be for the bathroom but some can do a 10x10 room also. So there is no exact size per room but there is what is called a acceptable size candle per room but I dont what it is. I suppose King (TOP) Of The Hill would know that answer?
Yea that is what I want.....acceptable size per room! You always have my back Candlewitch!:highfive: Thanks!
-
What size candle for what size room? Is there a standard that everyone goes by? I saw this listed on a site a while back and can not remember where I saw it.:rolleyes2
-
Hi Lisa ,
I can't wait for you to test them either
. How's your wax testing going? I'm holding off as long as I can to jump on that FO sale!!( I know it's only 'til Sat, I think)
I have looked at their scents long before I ever dreamed of making a candle! They just all sound so yummy! I want to order from NG also...but could not resist this sale! The testing is going good! I posted a test update on the vegetable/category. Let me know what you think????

Hi everyone!
I've been notified by many that FOH's website is down...I don't know
why and my server of course doesn't have weekend help!! UGG!! But I
was able to set up a temporary website until Monday, when I'm able to
speak with customer service.
Here is the temporary link...
Thanks for the link!

Just add the 1ounce samples you want into the shopping cart. It will charge you full price but will be adjusted later. In the coupon code box put SAMP99 before confirming your order.
I can not wait to get mine!
