  1. Would love to know the results when you burn this :grin2:

Well I have had no luck with the caramel appples I have poured. JS was fair, BCN was weak and BCS was weak.:sad2: I have a few yet to burn that I have mixed myself. Will update when I have the results. I am using CB135.

  2. I use CB135 and these scents have been hit or miss for me. :undecided So far the only one out of what I have ordered that have given me a hot throw is Mulled Wine.

Mulberry Spice was very light and Silky V Vanilla had no hot throw. Ginger Bread no hot throw. This is after 2 weeks cure time. I just poured Girls Night Out so will see how that throws in a week or so. I still have a few more to test and will post my results. I add 8%FO around 175 and pour in the slushy stage.

  3. ??pepperberry?..at least the NG pic on the bottle looks like those pepperberry garland things you buy????

    I dunno:undecided

Ok looked this up and this is what I got from a soap description of their pepperberry:

This complex warm blend starts out with traditional Black Pepper notes mixed with Black Orchid. This spicy, sensual mixture is accentuated with All Spice, Wildberries and Bulgarian Rose, finished up with heavier notes of Pine Needle, Oak and just a small hint of Vanilla.

    ???????????

Here is the definition of a true pepperberry...no fragrance info though but it is interesting... never heard of a pepperberry!

    PEPPERBERRY

Pepperberry (Schinus molle) trees look like a weeping willow, though the trees are evergreen and not hardy to Illinois. Trees are native to Peru, though commonly found throughout southern California.

Berries ripen in late summer are often cut and used in floral displays. Berry clusters can be dried quickly in warm and well ventilated area. The faster the berries dry, the more they retain their color. Pepperberries ARE NOT a food item and should not be used in cooking or eating. While not considered poisonous, the berries should not be eaten.

  4. Hi. No answer here, but I like it too, wanted it for Christmas, and wondered if there was a big difference in smell between the different suppliers. Also, which one works good in soy or the GL 70/30 blend? Beth

I ordered the one from BCN and I use Ecosoya CB135. I have only tested it in a 5 oz apothecary jar but it is strong! I used 8%FO. Love Love Love it!:D

  5. 3 mistletoes were tested: BCN, Mcsoy and Candlescience. Candlescience won hands down for authenticity, scent throw and a clean burn! Each were in a 5oz apothecary jar with 8%FO, CB135 and an LX14 wick. The cure time was around 7 days. The tester tested in a 12X12 room(was suppose to test in small bathroom...but...). She said when she walked into the room that she could smell it! Wow! That is great for such a small candle!

    :yay:

  6. UPS or Sweetcakes should definitley give a refund! That is just poor customer service.

Fedex has not been any better lately! I sent a package of candles to a friend and when we went to check the tracking the other day it said all kinds of crazy stuff! One line said it was rerouted to the correct address the next said it was delivered and the next said it was returned to sender! When I called there were two explanations....one said that no one by that name lived at that address and one said that it was refused because it was broken. Neither were true because I double checked the address with Fedex and it was correct and my friend never saw the package! It will be back here today and they better not have broken them!

    Is it a full moon?????:shocked2:

  7. I just ordered a sample of this from Twigs-n-Berries. I will let you know how strong it is when I pour it next week....in soy CB135. From the description I am thinking it is an Apple and Oak type scent...maybe better!

    :yay:

    Applewood Orchard

A deep & haunting combo of Macintosh apples & warm ginger with a woodsy background of oak, cedar & cinnamon bark.

  8. I am very new here but carmal apple is my fav scent! I ordered one from JS and it was pretty good. BCN I am not quite sure about have not burned it yet. Cold smell is kinda weird. Also I read on another board that they mix creme brulee and mac apple for their carmel apple. I have poured this too but have not burned yet. It smells pretty darn good cold! I would say try JS and try to mix your own.:grin2: Just took another whiff of the ones I poured and the JS and the mix definitley are winners!
