Those look great! I've been doing mostly layered rustics, but I haven't gotten the "wave" down yet.

How about their shower gel base? Anyone tried that?

I have never seen anything quite like these!

Faye, I suffer the same affliction but am finally narrowing down things a bit after almost 2 yrs.

How about Green Clover & Aloe or Green Irish Tweed?

I have to say that after PA raved about the Essentials by Catalina stuff a couple of years ago I had the itch to give it a try. But, being on the opposite coast, the shipping is just way out of my league. I have no doubt that she knows her stuff where this is concerned cause she's done her homework with every variation known to m&p peeps. However, the m&p stuff I'm doing these days is pretty much novelty, and I can't justify the shipping right now.
Now I'm wanting some worse than ever. Too bad the property tax man just cleaned my clock.

The handling fee has been on mine for quite a while. I have to say, though, that my orders arrive in almost a blink.

I have no really good workspace with a tiny kitchen in my main home, so I'm currently making more candles than usual over at the beach house. I've got a better setup over here, so I pour pretty much all the time while I'm on this beloved island.
I'll go stay in the other house for a few days and soap. I've got my laser printer there, so I have to go back and forth.

I've found that I can use just a tad of fo like cucumber melon in the clear from wsp with embeds just to give it a little scent.
One of my wholesale shops wants more kiddo soaps, so I started doing a few of the popsicle soaps for them. I've got a few lbs of the sfic, so I'm using that with some color in layers with those just to get rid of the crap.

I haven't tried the Stephenson's clear, but the SFIC sucks as far as trying to do the kiddo soaps with the embeds. It's definitely yellowish. The WSP clear is pretty decent for doing those types of soaps, but I recently bought a little bit from Go Planet Earth that looks pretty clear but haven't had a chance to try.
I'm not crazy about doing these kiddo embed soaps, but there are a couple of seafood festivals coming up in the spring, so . . . . gotta put those little crabs in them.

Chemistry Store is in Columbia, SC

I'm in the same state so pay 6% sales tax on top of the high shipping and handling charge. Chemistry Store also has a handling charge but not for a pick up order. I've had friends who were in the AH area pick up my order before, and I didn't see that anything special really warranted that additional charge. I really do like the AH oils and other products, but I've found that I can order oils, etc, that are just as good from suppliers several states away with lower shipping, etc.

I agree with SYR. I don't make bath bombs, but I do make m&p cupcake soaps for one of the shops here. Actually, those sell better than anything else for me in that shop, and I was worried when the owner marked them at $8 each. At least they'll last for more than one bath is how I see it.

I'm not sure how thick you mean, but how about this? http://store.scent-works.com/8ozpumpjarset.html

I love trying things from others through swaps, but I also buy from others--especially things I don't make and don't intend to make. Etsy, too, is one of my favorite shopping spots. There are plenty of things like hair care products, bath bombs, certain types of balms, etc, that I don't make and love handmade.
I never thought I'd really like a solid shampoo bar until I tried one--there are a couple of super ones on etsy. I've also been trying to scale back on fo purchases, so it's easier and cheaper for me to purchase something in an fo I'm curious about than to buy the fo and use it in wax or whatever.

Beautiful candle! Good luck with it.

I've bought some things from http://www.fancycatcandle.com/page/page/1918891.htm a few times. She's very pleasant and ships out quickly.

This surprises me for sure. I've used pyrex many, many times for melting waxes and butters in both the microwave and the oven without a mishap. Some of the pyrex cups I've used are new, but some are also anywhere from 15-30 yrs old.
The only time I've had one break was from something I felt was my fault. I don't remember what I was melting, but I overheated it (was using the oven). I put the container in my sink after removing it from the oven and stupidly turned on the water. Of course, I heard the pop but had no mess.

I use wick pins most of the time and haven't had a problem with them at all.
I used to put the warning sticker right on the tab, but I've started putting them on the packaging instead. The reason--I found that I forgot to remove the warning sticker a couple of times when I burn them. I didn't have a mishap or a problem with one catching fire, but I decided that if I overlooked them that a customer would as well.

When I did scenery gels, I usually bought something similar when they were on sale at Michaels.

http://www.cricketscountryhomestead.com/catalog.php I got some things from here a few years ago, including heart-shaped crusts. I don't see them on her site now, but I got some that were not latice--they were hearts but like a whipped topping.
I got really good service with her, and her products were nice.
Oops, I looked further and do see more on the next page.
