  1. Tony's is now Southern Garden Scents. Until recently, the only fo I had tried from there was the Goddess and Frosted Pink Cupcake that Jen used to carry at Old Mill. Since Diana was going to attend the GA meeting, I ordered Stress Relief, Amber Romance, Lemongrass & Sage to save on the shipping.

I haven't done anything except use the Stress Relief in a pillar candle, and I have to say that it is completely awesome. Can't wait to soap it.

  2. I finally got some about a year ago and loved it even though I normally prefer lighter scents for my personal use. I soaped it twice, gave out samples of the soap and also purse cologne sprays to friends of various ages. Not a one seemed to like it. The ages ranged from early 20s to late 60s.

  3. I hesitated about consignment after reading about some bad experiences folks had doing this. However, after some serious consideration I decided to give this a try. So far, this has worked very well for me. The shop owner is wonderful, and this has been a positive experience for me.

I got this beachy fo from Sockmonkey's recent quick coop and love it in wax. It's very beachy and has a nice, clean scent throw. I took some candles to the GA meeting for a swap and got first place for best candle design--and I was told by a couple of voters that the scent was what got the vote. :)

  5. One of the waterfront shops here carries the Beanpod. They're pretty candles, but I wasn't overwhelmed by them. I don't think I would have an urge so much for one if I were candle shopping, but it appears that they sell well.

The shop owner had a nice display and was burning a couple of them that arrived with a crack or other blemish. Not much to report about scent. I did buy some of those little wax beads or whatever they are for the tart warmer. Sorry, but they sucked.

They do a lot of marketing and attend all the trade shows. That's where the buyers in this area are hooking up with them.

  6. I have a gc from TC that I got at the GA Spring Fling. I've never ordered from them, so I'd be interested in some suggestions for both paraffin and cp soap.

I also need candle dyes, so if anyone can share a comment on those, I'd appreciate it.

  7. I list all of my ingredients on my soap. If your not sure where to add your ingredient into the listing, contact the manufacturer of the base, tell them what your adding and how much, and they'll let you know where to add it into your % listing. I did that with SFIC.. and they were able to help me.

It's been a long time, but this is what I did.

  8. I never bought it either and decided to try it with green pillars cause one of the shops I'm in has a lot of church ladies hanging out for knitting in there. They originally wanted my things because of Amazing Grace, so I thought I might as well give it a try. I was ordering from CS anyway, so that's how that went down.

  9. I have no idea what the "real" thing should smell like, but I got some from Candle Science this past fall. I was pretty happy with it in pillar candles but had not thought about it for soap or b&b. Recently, I had a customer order body butter and lotion in this scent as a gift for her stepfather. After I started working with it in those applications, I feel it does make for a nice men's scent. Haven't soaped it yet, though.

Yeah, I know. I didn't help you a bit. :tiptoe:
