I push the goodies inside my balms too. Some of my goodies include shea butter, jojoba oil, cocoa butter and they are good selling points.

Well that is just wrong. If they had stipulated this from the get go, it would be one thing. But to add this on is ridiculous. They should have considered the costs long before they did a flat rate charge announcement.

Fruity - A ctrus blend of some kind like orange or lemon Floral - ROSE! Bakery - Cinnamon buns or something spicy Fresh/Clean - Ocean Dupe ( I never sell these)

There is no need to use a preservative if only butters and oils are being used.

I never tinker with shower gel base other than to add in crothix. If you mess around, you can thin and ruin the base. Shower gel is not the same as soap. You have to be very careful or else the entire consistency is ruined. I happen to like the shower gel from Nature's Garden. I also like WSP. BC is great, but it thins out just too much and too often.

I voted not natural. That does NOT mean that I make garbage or inferior products. I strive to be as natural as possible. However, I do use FO's and preservatives. Aside from that I do not think that natural means "better". For instance, some EOs are not safe to use while pregnant.

What are some of the things that doubled? WSP has been a favorite of mine for many years now. But doubling prices really is outrageous.

I think that Jody carries much of the exact same stuff as WSP. Even her photos are identical. I do not know what has been going on with her recently, but I still have not had a single problem ordering from her. I received my most recent order in a timely fashion and everything was just as expected. Her shipping is very reasonable too. I used some of her bases with great success and will continue to order. I have never found a supplier with more unique and affordable packaging. She has a huge selection.

I have tried many flavor oils. My favorites are the sweetened ones from BCN.

WSP is one of my favorite suppliers for many reasons. I am sorry that you are having such trouble with them. I read the flat rate email and this does not really apply to me since I always buy in bulk.

Soapermom, I have never used Michael's base, but I have heard a lot of things about it- and none of it good.

I think that it has to be the base. I load some with milks and clays. I don't add in any hardening stuff. I also keep mine in the shower and they still last over a month. My bars are nice-sized and not overly large or small. A week is much too short to last for any base, unless the soap is just sitting in a pool of water or something.

What base are you using? I use SFIC white and clear and my bars last a good month or more from multiple uses daily. Are you adding oils to your base?

I have never had unordinarily high shipping from MMS. But I never order small either.

Hyacinth and Orchid scents always sell well for Easter. Any chocolate scent does great too.

Any berry is awesome with peach. Freesia is beautiful and so is watermelon.

Just wrap it immedietly after you unmold it. Do NOT put it in the oven. It also sweats more in the freezer. What base are you using?

what does it cost you to make 1 bar of soap?

My MP soap is around .75c per bar. My other soaps are at around 85c per bar. I have finally mastered the art of buying in bulk and really making a great bar of soap that does not break my wallet. -
I was wondering who you would recommend for a wonderful smelling hyacinth. I would like to use it only for bath and body products. I always seem to find hyacinth mixed with some other floral. I would love to have a straight hyacinth. Any ideas?

True Rose, Mandarin Orange, Jasmine, Black Raspberry. Blueberry, Lily of the Valley, and Masculine Musk are my absolute favorites. Peony Petals is also the best peony that I have soaped and I have soaped many of them. It is a wonderful seller too which is why I am always experimenting with this scent. The only scent that I have not liked over the years from SC is their strawberry.

I never consider upper case rude or shouting. You can clearly tell if someone is shouting or not. I consider shouting by the context of the sentence and if the sentence is punctuated with an ! or many !!!!! I have quite a few elderly customers who ALWAYS type in upper case. All have said the same thing- that it is easier for the eyes to see.
