I was at a craft show today and saw a man with sample scents in these tiny little jars. You know, no wick, just enough scented wax to customers can know what they like. Well these jars were maybe 2 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter, maybe a little smaller. They were so cute!! Does anyone know where I can find anything like these? TIA Ash

I'm looking at thecandlemakersstore.com and they have 2 different types of shrink wrap but both have the same pic. http://thecandlemakersstore.com/category/packaging.shrink_wrap/ There is Lt Gage Shrink Wrap/100 ft Light Gage Shrink wrap 100 ft roll $15.00 and then there is Tart Tubing/100 Clear Plastic Tart Packaging, 100 ft $15.00 Are these both tubing?? Is the tart tubing just precut for you into strips for tarts and the shrink wrap is a roll OF the tubing?? TIA I just dont want to buy the wrong thing.. I'd like a roll of shrink wrap tubing, I just want to make sure it is what I'm assuming it is. Thanks again Ash

I'm sorry, let me clarify my statement. They are really good OOB. I realize I wouldn't know how well they are in the candles just yet, but I love the scents OOB.

I just got some samples and my favs so far are Casaba Mist, Rose, and French Vanilla Amber. But I've tried several from Peak, and haven't found a bad one yet.

Now looking for shrink wrap for my tarts, instead of putting them in tart boxes. The little molded tarts, not clamshells. Anyone have a fav product or supplier that you can send me to?? TIA Ash

Anyone else have ideas? Please? They seem to be a pain to find. Only place I've found that doesnt require me to buy a whole case wants $1.05 each, thats just too much.

Havent tested them yet, but Casaba Mist and Wild Mt Honey are really good.

Any ideas on suppliers that dont require me to order a whole case?

Only thing I've found so far thats antibacterial is Wixnwax.com carries antibacterial liquid soap base.

Hi, I've found a site that has some good prices on lotion stuff for someone like me that just wants to experiment and learn. Ok, antibacterial is iffy. Maybe lotions? I've heard about "melt and pour" for soaps?? I just need some ideas of what to try and learn with. TIA Ash

Does anyone with a business in container candles not dye them? Do they still sell as well? I'm guessing you have to add some extra flare to them or something to attract the attention since there's no color. I was just thinking about not dyeing mine anymore. I plan on continuing to dye my tarts and clamshells tho. Just looking for some input, TIA Ash

I just poured some Toffee Machiatto clamshells.. didn't really make me gag, but it was just SO rich smelling that it turned my stomach. And it smelled up my whole house with it! lol I have another FO that I'm afraid to pour tho... Toasted Hazelnut.. OOB it really does make me gag lol

I just finished pouring some Blueberry Muffin in tarts and Toffee Machiatto in clamshells. BTW- The tarts and shells AND the wax that I tested with are all thanks to my AWESOME and WONDERFUL SB!!! And they all came out beautifully!! Ash

Has anyone tried NG's Kama Sutra FOs? They're awefully tempting to try. Lol. I use soy, mainly GL 70/30. If anyone can tell me their opinion on them. TIA Ash

I'm looking into getting started with a business sometime next year and I am trying to figure out who to go through for insurance. I know the soapers guild offers it with membership. And it covers candles too. But I really thought there was one more geared towards candles? It was some sort of candle organization. Anyone know who I'm talking about? TIA
