  1. Jordan Is that really you in that picture????lol...very cute
  2. Thank you all so much for your votes. I was leaning twards 5 myself. Trees have always been my favorite thing. It represents me. I always knew I wanted a tree in my logo. A tree to me equals natural beauty, the way each branch is different like humans no two trees are alike. Just with candles, No two are alike. I like the way the tree gives off a clean fresh, pure look. Thanks again everyone for looking. Ill post my final decision when I have a label made and one a candle in the gallery.
  3. Thanks guys! ill check out both options although I dont need to design anything I just need to be able to print my logo.

  9. when you guys sell your candles is it illegal to name the candle the same as the company you bought the scent off of? I was sitting around thinking of some other names that I could name some of my scents but some you just cant rename and dont want to copy right infringe on anything
  10. this is very unique and different. I really like it because its not something that everyone else has. Great job. Mine is being worked on right now. Im so excited. bizzyB is doing it. So far she has done a wonderful job. Ill post mine when its done.
  11. what are the prices at the sale price because i just went to there site and did not see any promotion at all.???
  12. So your saying that I should just wait and see what craft shows i apply for and see if they require me to charge sales tax. and if they do then i can go and get a peddler thingy to do it? and then lets say i do have to charge tax in another state, i will then have to report it at the end of that quarter and send it in when i file the taxes right???
  13. i cant believe how real they look! i luv them
  14. I met with an accountant today for the first time! She was very helpful not to mention she used to make candles for 20 years! yeah, id say I hit the jackpot. we got into talking about what is needed for doing craft shows and she metioned something like a peddler or trader license that craft shows ask for when you sign up. She also metioned that you will need to get a sales tax license in every state that you will be selling in and report and pay these taxes every quarter. This is the first I ever heard this information and kinda gives me a headache just thinking about it. do any of you have sales tax licenses in other states that you sell in? and whats the difference between peddler and trader license and where do I get one? She mentioned that some states will give you a sales tax license for two days while you do the craft show. I guess so you dont have to report every quarter to every state??? if there is a website that explains all this i would love to visit it. not just a regular gov site but a site that talks about these licenses and pedder stuff. wow this was long sorrry
  15. thanks guys. I have someone working on my logo now so i guess i can turn it into a hang tag??
  16. thats exactly what i was looking for if anyone needs me ill be at candlesoylutions! lol:wink2:
  17. does nayone know of a jar that looks like a square mason jar but doesnt say mason on it??? i want a jar that is the same style and shape but nice smooth sides
  18. for those of you that use the 8 oz sqaure mason jars. how do you put your labels on. I dont have labels yet but im worried that with this jar because it says mason on all sides that the label wont fit right or will be wrinkly. i pan to use rectangle or square labels that will cover most of one side of a jar. any input would be great
  19. why not make it "home scents" or "natural scents" for all your herbals, cotton, fresh linen, lemon, eucalyptus, baby powder. etc... just an idea
  20. Thanks for all your answers. My question is if I buy the "beanpod" brand that comes in the little plastic boxes, can i sprinkle these on my candles and resell them without mentioning the "beanpod" company?? I was looking for these bean pods that were sold under no name so I can use them as my own....i hope that makes sence
  21. I have been testing the Peaks Fo and I really like them so far. They have great throw. i recently poured green tea and lemon pound cake. I poured them into tins that were 3 oz. and used KY 125 with cottonseed. I poured two of each scent but I pout .05 oz of Fo into the wax. which is alittle more than usual. I looked at the candles today and noticed that one all the candles there are puddles of FO. i had to wipe the top of the candle off before i started burning it because i didnt want a fire hazard...lol.. Im wondering if its because the those particular scents are very thick and heavy and if so how can you tell this before you pour. also could it be cause of the humidity? we just put the air conditioners in the house today and the candles have been sitting on the kitchen and temp inside the house was in the 90 's any input would be great as to what caused this thanks ya'll
  22. Im still testing scents and im not even selling yet. but i do know that i sont want to carry anymore than 10 scents per catagory. For instance, i plan to do a bakery, spa, clean home, and fruit line. so Im making sure that I dont go over ten for each catagory. If you think about it thats still 40 scents. Im having a hard time addind scents because I cant get half of what i test to burn good enough....lol...
  23. I wanted to test burn a candle on mine today. i went t lite it and it wouldnt lite . I think the wax melted off the wick when i heated the jar. any suggestions on getting this sucker to lite so i dont wast a candle???
