  1. OBI is OBI Imports (obiimport.com) Right now the majority of the 2 piece plug in warmers are out of stock but when I talked with them earlier in the week they should be restocked in about 3 weeks. JD Wholesale is affliated with OBI and carries alot of the same items. HTH
  2. I am overly ANNOYED with this whole situation !! My personal Discover was hacked in February, the card number was shut down and another card number issued. I had my new card number less than a month and found out that one has been hacked too . I got a notice in the mail that someone CALLED Discover imposturing as me transfering 2 Chase account balances to my NEW card number. Needless to say, that card number again has been shut down with yet another issued. This is serious folks . . .watch your accounts closely ! Edited to add . . I only used the new Discover card number with USPS.com
  3. I have one of the Candle Warmers plug-in type warmers in my bathroom that I picked up during a coop. Personally, I don't like it as well as the Levine's or OBI plug-in warmers that have the removable dish. It's pretty but I prefer the 2 piece plug-in warmers since I dump the wax when it is hot. I'm not so patient to wait til it hardens . . . (Just my personal opinion)

  5. For my fundraisers I only allow the group to select 6-8 scents to sell, so what I do for smelly samples is I poured into 3/4 oz plastic cups and label with the scent name. The group has the option to buy these. For a group of 400 though, that would be a tedious job. I do a Christmas fundraiser for a group of 200+ but they didn't want to pay for the samples. Like Misty, I have written scent descriptions on their order form so the have a general idea what they would smell like.
  6. Do you have propay or some other CC merchant account set up? If so, just get all her info over the phone that you need to manually process her card. If you only deal with Paypal for CC's then I believe you will have to send her a paypal invoice for her to pay it herself. If I am wrong I am hoping someone will step in and tell you how to go about it.
  7. I use the Odor Eliminator from Southern Scentsations ( greatcandle.com ) It is a strong clean scent and works awesome ! I tested it after deep frying and also after frying bacon before adding it to my line. It is strong in my parasoy & works awesome in an air freshner mist. One of my fundraisers choose this scent but wanted it renamed to clean linen. It was an big seller.
  8. I just seen this post . . My discover card was hacked too !! Hootsuite, apple online, air line tickets & netflix . . .Discover fraud called right away and cancelled out the card number but it is the 2nd time in 4 months. My business Discover card was hacked last November. It is horrible to think some people just have anything better to do with their time . . .uh, like get a job !??
  9. I have about a dozen OBI night light / plug-in warmers that were broken or the rubbery piece hardened up on leaving the body of the warmer wobbly. All Christmas returns . . .I am very upset and still need to take pictures to get to OBI for credit / returns. Not sure if it was a bad batch or what, but am leary on re-ordering more
  10. Your pics of the white ash / clogged wicks look like what I have dealt with using zinc wicks, the 50/50 blend of 464 & 4630 and TOO MUCH FO. I've found reducing the FO % is the key. 1.2 oz PP is what I use for most FO's but heavier oils will drown out for me like the pics you posted. I have found that I need to go down to 0.8 - 1.0 oz PP and then I'll get a good burn with a great HT. Right now I am testing apothecary jars too but do not like to double wick so I am single wicking with a 60z for most oils and getting a great even burn. I am testing Spicy Apples n Peaches from TCS and used a 62z with 1.2 oz PP and it isn't burning at all. White ashing and drowning out . . I kicked myself because I forgot to back off on the FO as my notes stated with other jar sizes now I have to re-test the dang thang :rolleyes2
  11. Girl . . . THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!! I had check candlesandsupplies but didn't find them. You ARE the google queen !!!!
  12. I checked both Candles and Supplies & Lonestar and seen the smooth lid as well as the lid with the handle. Still hoping to find ones with the rings. Any other leads are greatly appreciated :smiley2:
  13. Found a picture ! This is what I am looking for only in black . .
  14. I am looking for the black lids that have a ring on the top for the apothecary type jars and I have searched high & low and can't seem to find a supplier. I don't have a picture to show what exactly I am trying to locate, so I am hoping someone can help with my description only. I was thinking the Jar Store had them but there not shown on their website anymore. Any ideas where I might look?
  15. Number7of7 . . .Don't throw in the towel quite yet. I used to use the container parasoy but it NEVER was consistent batch to batch. Heck, one 12 case order had all the same lot numbers but none of the cases burned the same. I could tell by the feel and the the way it melted that none of it was the same. I had tons of headaches with it and blame was passed on to the manufacturer who didn't stand behind the wax. All this during a fundraiser yet to boot. I was horrible ! I switched to blending the 464 with either 4630 or 4633 (old J223). My wicking didn't change with my size containers and it is consistent batch to batch for me. It was an easy transistion and I haven't looked back.
  16. I started in a spiral notebook but couldn't keep everything in alphabetical order. So then I went to index cards in a recipe box but I tend to take too many notes and would run out of room on my cards. Last year I switched to a 3 ring notebook and inserted tabbed alphabetical dividers which is working wonderfully !! I have a whole sheet of notebook paper I can keep track of notes and if the front and back get filled I can staple another sheet to it. Everything is together and organized. Like Stella I am hoping Santa Baby brings me a laptop but transfering all my notes will take forever plus then I fear forgetting to back up and loosing everything :tiptoe: .
  17. The re-set button worked I had to use the re-set button when the heating element didn't kick on in the past, but I didn't know that it would work when the heating element was heating too hot. This is great news & good to know in the future. I just love this board !!
  18. Yea, I did know about the reset button but the problem I am having is the heating element isn't maintaining the temperature I am setting it at. I set the temp control at 200* and the wax gets HOT HOT HOT. The wax temp keeps climbing. Even lowering the control to 150* or 175* does not work, wax temps climb upward. Luckily I keep my thermometer in the wax, wax temp got up above 275* I had another fryer go bad a couple months ago with the same problem - over heating. Now I have 2 that I am hoping to replace the heating element on. If not I'll just pitch them and buy new . . I didn't have a chance to call Masterbuilt yet to see if replacement heating elements can be purchased but I will today.
  19. Anyone else experiencing the temperature unit going bad on the Masterbuilt or Cajun Injector turkey fryers? I have had 2 bite the dust in a matter of 2 months. One was a couple years old but one was new. Unfortunately, I have gotten rid of the boxes so was wondering if anyone knows if I can buy just the temperature unit to replace them? I would be more convenient rather than buying another full cooker.
  20. I blend my own also . . 50/50 of 464 & 4633 (J223) and also 464 & 4630. Both blends are the same wicking for me, I use zinc.
  21. I love Southern Scentsations - not only their oils but the CS rocks ! I have quite a list of oils that perform well - they test in soy, I use a soy blend: Winter Hug (wick up) Lemon Pound Cake Abercrombie & Fitch for Men Type Love Spell Type Drakkar Wind Chimes Coconut Lime Verbena Banana Nut Bread Mulberry Odor Eliminator Butt Naked Christmas Past Christmas Splendor Hazelnut Cappuccino Holiday Scentsation Jasmine White Spring Lilac Mango Papaya Pink Sugar Pure Seduction Sweet Pea Fresh Waterfall Mist Black Orchid Twilight Woods
  22. I got an email on Monday. I have been keeping a close eye on the business account that I used and so far nothing has been charged that I was not responsible for. I need that business card for fundraiser supplies, but once I am certain I have everything ordered then I plan on calling to request a new card.
