  1. According to their site, it's free shipping on orders over $100, but there is a $100 minimum order.
  2. You can only tell if a wick is going to work if you test it; not by the way an fo looks. That is why it is important to test each fo to make sure you have the right wick size.
  3. I use cheap wooden spoons. They work great!
  4. I've tried different wicks just for testing purposes, but always use the same style wick in different sizes for the candles I make.
  5. That is just too funny! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
  6. Congratulations and best of luck to you both! That is great!
  7. I have 3 Prestos; all with spouts. They certainly do come in handy!
  8. I have melted down candles and reused the wax in different jars. Didn't have any problems losing fragrance after they melted. Try it with a couple of jars and see what happens.
  9. Thank you for sharing! Sounds like a great idea!
  10. I've used the votive cups on warmers and they worked just fine. Wouldn't hurt to try them out.
  11. Not a doggone thing! I am heading to California with my 15 year old granddaughter tomorrow to visit my oldest son. We will be spending the entire week with him and his wife. They have lots of plans for us including Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo, and so much more that it's hard to list them all! Guess I'll have to get some rest when I get back! :bliss: :bliss:
  12. You can't go wrong with Nanna; she has great prices and very low shipping costs!
  13. Great looking cobbler! Looks good enough to eat!
  14. I bought a bottle of Strawberry Jam from Just Scents and it is the best strawberry I every smelled! I only let it cure overnight before I burned it and I could smell it all the way through my house! I always add my fo at 175 degrees and stir real well then let cool to my desired temp before pouring. I try not to use any more than 7% fo per pound of wax. If you have to use any more than that, it probably won't work anyways and it's time to look for a better fo.
  15. Your little bear is very cute! I love the accessories, too! Great job!
  16. I've tested many different types of soy/paraffin blends and found one that I really liked from Just Scents. It is a 50/50 container blend and makes beautiful candles. I use LX wicks and they work great with this wax and with all my fo's. The cold/hot throw is fantastic and I get very smooth tops.
  17. I don't think you need to add the fo any higher than 175 degrees. Just make sure you mix well and while it is cooling, mix some more until you have reached your desired pouring temperature. I use wooden spoons, but a plastic spoon should not be a problem for mixing.
  18. If you are looking for soy wax at great prices, you can get some here: http://www.soycandle.com/ Great customer service and shipping costs are not too bad. Hope this helps!
  19. I've had that happen many times. It is caused by pulling the wick too tight, but can be fixed real quick with a heat gun.
  20. I use a 50/50 blend and have very smooth tops with excellent hot/cold throw. I think I have had better luck with parasoy blends than with plain soy.
  21. Try a small batch test and see how it turns out. I would think it would be all right even for regular candles.
  22. I love these three the best: Apple Spice (Greenleaf) Vanilla Lavender (Greenleaf) Strawberry Jam (Just Scent)
